Cavan nodded, he was glad that his request/demand had been accepted with no argument needed. He wanted to help, and it was obvious that most of the lightfighters, who ever they were, were probably just as pulled thin as Mr. Cooper and D’rorah. He would do whatever it took to help them with whatever they needed. Not just because D’rorah was like the big sister he’d never had, but also because he understood what was planned for the world, should Yang win. He grasped that there were not just people in the world, but people here, where he considered home, that wouldn’t think twice about hurting him or someone else, should he or they get in the way.
Cavan stood, replacing the chair before turning back to consider Mr. Cooper. “I know I really don’t know you Mr. Cooper, but it seems to me you’re main problem with your school work is that you’re so stressed about everything…” He frowned, thinking on that as he stopped and stood at the foot of the older boy’s bed. “It’s getting late, and I should get back to my common room before curfew comes into effect. Do yourself a favor and try to relax, maybe meditate or take a long, hot shower. When you’re ready for me to help with your homework just owl me or ask me after class. Let the others know that I’m here to help them too if they need it. I’ll keep teaching myself the languages in the codex D’rorah gave me, and if I am needed to translate, let me know and I’ll get right on it. Don’t worry about all that work tiring me out, I’ve found that sleep is a little over rated…”
He shifted, moving around the bed to shake Mr. Cooper’s hand before heading to the door that would lead him out, “Just a thought, but if the relaxing doesn’t work, you may consider getting a new wand… I mean you are a different person now than you were when you got it, it may be a good idea to find one that can work through your mental block.” He spoke as if it were the most obvious answer in the world, and to him, it was, “Maybe something with a Demiguise hair core…” With that said, he gave a little wave and turned to unlock the door that would let him out.
