Christopher stood there slightly dumbfounded. He had no intentions of offending her, he just merely wanted to show that he was thankful for what D'rorah and the others have and will give up. He knew it was too late to change what he had said, so he reviewed his options quickly. After a moment of staring off in silence, he figured it was best just to say the truth, rather than work around it. He brought his head up and faced her, "It wasn't intended as pity, D'rorah. I just wanted to show you that I understood what you were giving up, for me and the rest of humanity." He moved a few steps back form the lake, taking a deep breath. He looked towards, the sun, careful not to look directly into it. By the judge of it, it was almost mid-day. Chris brought his attention back to D'rorah as a breeze swept over the grounds. His hair whipped in the wind along with his robes. He stretched his arms high above his head and made his way a few yards away from the edge of the lake. Chris barely caught her eye, but as he walked past, he saw disgust as she gazed upon him. Why had he offended her so much?
"You know something, Miss Philosophy," he said while he turned face her, "I understand that you have been hurt, but by pushing away all those who care and truly want to help, you are in turn hurting your cause. I don't believe this war was meant to be fought by just you and your comrades. I believe Yin wanted humanity to rise against and stop this threat." Chris fought the voice inside his head that was telling him to pursue this argument, he had made his point. Chris turned to leave when it happened. He fell to the ground clutching his head, the pain was unbearable. He felt someone, probing his brain, poking around, trying to see into private life. He couldn't stand it, the force was to strong and he didn't have to strength to keep them out any longer. Chris let out a gasp, as the darkness swarmed his mind and slowly, everything he was looking at faded into black.
Chris rose from where had fallen and he turned towards D'rorah. His eyes were pitch black and his head slightly tilted to the side, as if he was eying his prey. "Hello," he said, his voice unrecognizable. "Why do you surround yourself with such week minded idiots, D'rorah? However, this is a step up from the last one I killed," he said in a warm, dark voice. "Yes, I quite.. enjoy this this one. Should I keep him for myself? He would make an excellent ally.." Chris paused for a moment, "He has abilities that he himself has yet to tap into." As he spoke, Chris pointed his hand at rather large rock. Slowly, the rock began to rise form it's resting point. Chris waved his hand around and the rock mimicked his motions. A smile spread across his face as he thrust his hand forward, sending the rock flying out over the lake. "Or should I just remove him from the playing field all together," Chris said this as he reached inside his robe and removed his wand. He began to raise it to his head when D'rorah acted...
