Caitlin kept an eye on Zee, feeling a rather pejorative vibe as if he would like nothing better than to curse Sebastien on the spot. Still, hopefully with the headmistress there he would not try anything of the sort – now or later. Besides, if he was trying to reform his personality surely attacking a Hufflepuff prefect would not help his cause. Despite his outward manner towards her, which was mostly good, she could not forget his admission in the Room of Requirement about attacking Dylan. She did believe in the sincerity of his guilt, but it was just hard for her to look at him and not remember what he had done.
Still, the Headmistress’ request for Zee to join her alarmed Caity slightly. She thought she had heard some discussion about the Headmistress’ loyalty, and whether she was a spy for the Mage. Surely Zee, as one of the lightfighters, shouldn’t be going to her office alone? He seemed happy enough to go, however, so she said nothing on the matter. Not that she could say much anyway – Caira was still close enough to hear and Sebastien was right next to them.
"Forgive me. I did not come here to cause more pain. Please believe that." he said to her, then turning to Sebastien to continue. "I meant you no harm beyond ensuring you didn't harm her. I'm sorry Sebastien."
“It’s fine. I know you didn’t,” she replied, almost certain now that she had simply underestimated him and hoping she hadn’t offended him with her assumption. Good night,” she said before he finally walked off.
She turned to Sebastien and smiled faintly. “Well that was an eventful first patrol,” she commented, putting her wand into her pocket.
