She Pulled her saddles off, along with her brown book bag and Also layed them with the Tee. She Walked into the Water before swimming out to where her feet could no longer reach. She had her wand Safe on her hip Between the fabric of her Blue bottoms and Her hip bone. She had been swimming about 10 mins and was about to swim under when She saw someone coming

(We came from here www.ragedsyphers.proboards100.com/index.cgi?board=whompingwillow&action=display&thread=1190851560&page=1)Gat was wandering around the grounds without a care. He stopped for a little while beside the whomping willow. Gat was surprised to see that someone came up to him from behind and started to chat with him. Gat learned that she was going to the lake, so he invited himself to come along. So he and Susan waked down to the lake, still chatting, when Gat saw a familiar face in the water. "Ariana. Hey." Gat called out to her. He could see that she was about to dive under the water. He marveled on how she looked with a blue bathing suit on. His eyes wandered before he drifted back to realisation and jerked his eyes away. He knelt at the waters edge. "What brings you out here today?" He asked her politely. He knew the reason but he felt like chatting some more. Which was weird because he did not socialise often.

Ariana watched as Gat and Susan walked down the hill from the whomping willow. She tilted her head to the side in a cute kind of away before summing over to the waters edge. "Ariana. Hey." Ariana smiled then looked at Susan as Gat said, "What brings you out here today?" Ariana looked back at him before asking, "I need to find someone under the water but I'm not sure I can hold my breath that long. Do you have any suggestions?" She wander if Gat would like to help her with it. Ariana didn't really want to pull Susan into something like this but if she waited to come she could.

[glow=red,2,300]"I need to find someone under the water but I'm not sure I can hold my breath that long. Do you have any suggestions?" [/glow] Gat played with his hair while deep in thought. He could not think of one way to Hold your breath for that long. Though now that she had asked, he would not rest until he had found out. He couldn't wait to visit his extremely vast parent's library. Then a thought came to him. But he would not ask until Susan had left.
"I have no idea. But maybe Susan might know." Gat said. He waited for her response. The wind picked up slightly as he talked.

Susan happily joined the two Slytherin's by the Lake. Not her first choice of company, she thought secretly, but that was alright with her. She watched Ariana swim, recalling the last time she had been swimming. It had been quite an adventure. Including a thunderstorm and a very large squid. Susan giggled to herself. Realizing it must have seemed rude of her to not include the others on her small joke, she zeroed in on the current conversation.
Something about holding your breath for a really long time. Susan's thoughts were brought back to Ariana's locket.
"An hour long you'll have to look," Susan repeated, mostly for her self, quoting from the poem on Ariana's locket. Susan flew through her mind, quietly browsing through all the helpful spells she might have learned in her past.
"Partial-transfiguration, perhaps?" Susan suggested. Susan was somewhat good at Transfiguration, so it was only natural that it was the first idea to come into her head. She looked to Ariana and Gat to see what their opinions would be on her suggestion.

"That sound good but I'm still not that good at transfigurations yet. If you like Susan you may help us. If your wandering what I'm looking for it a male merfolk. A few days ago I found a book with a letter my mother left behind. In side was the name of a male merfolk, I think anyways. In her letter she said something about wishing to be able to swim under water for forever so that she could live with him." Said Ariana smiling at the smart Gryffindor. Ariana got out of the water and pulled on her blue tee on which stuck to her top as it was wet. Ariana sighed then shook her head before pull her sandles. "If you want I came get the letter out" Said Ariana
(( I fixed my first post so that she also had her Brown book bag with her))

Susan got the gist that Ariana's mother had passed away, and that must have been how she received the locket. Susan couldn't use her deductive reasoning for the next part. Mer folk? Susan puzzled. When she thought of Mer folk, she envisioned Mermaids with long flowing colorful hair and shiny green tails. Ariana, however, had mentioned a Merman. Susan wondered what Ariana's mother wanted Ariana to get from the Merman, she thought, referring back to the poem in her mind.
Susan had figured that as a seventh year, Ariana might have done a little extra studying in her classes for N.E.W.T.S. Susan racked her brain for another idea that might help Ariana in her journey.
"Isn't there a charm . . ." Susan looked to Gat for help, "Some sort of charm, that preserves oxygen, maybe?" Susan ended unsure of herself. She could recall a charm including keeping oxygen, which would most certainly help in Ariana's case. However, Susan could not recall the incantation or the exact results. She had a feeling that a trip to the library was close at hand.

Gat had no idea how to have air under the water. But then he remembered something that his father said.
[glow=red,2,300]"We would of one too. If that blasted boy from Hogwarts didn't use gillyweed."[/glow] Gat remembered. He remembered that a Hogwarts student used gillyweed to go under the lake for an hour.
"Uh, I remember that gillyweed can help you to breathe for an hour under water." Gat said. He was glad that he had thought of something.

Susan wasn't sure exactly what a gillyweed was. She wasn't the best in Herbology and didn't like to read up on the subject outside of class. Gat did have a point in the fact that using a "gillyweed" which sounded to be a more solid object, would probably be more effective then possibly performing a spell incorrectly.
"Do you know how it works, Gat?" Susan asked curiously. She didn't want to spend much time in the library, but she would if she had some company. They could make it an excursion. Or maybe Professor McSteele would help. McSteele was a pretty nice professor, Susan remembered. She wondered what Ariana thought of this. Maybe she wasn't up to using a gillyweed. Susan looked to Ariana to see what she thought of Gat's suggestion.

"I have heard of it though I'm not very good at Herbology. reading does wanders when you've lived like a muggle" said Ariana hold out the letter to Susan.
Dear Nils, June 15th, 1997
I wish I could be able to come live with you but I know well there is no spell that would let me. This is the last day of school but I know I will miss you dearly. You were a good friend and an even better lover. I will be leaving to go to Iceland once I finish but will be back in a few years. Please take care and find happiness with pretty girl who is a merfolk.
Love always, Callia Caron Angevin
Ariana waited for her to take the letter and read it. She looked at Gat and smiled sweetly before say, "Thank you both"

Susan took the letter and read it silently. The letter was very old, and almost tearing at the creases where it had been folded, envelope-style. The letter had obviously been read and reread many times. The letter was full of love and hope. It was obvious that "Callia Caron Angevin," who Susan assumed to be Ariana's mother, dearly loved this merman, whom she'd left behind for her travels. It was a very sad story indeed, enclosed in that letter. Susan wondered about the rest of Callia Caron Angevin's story came along. Was she married? Why didn't she take her husband's name if she did? Where did Ariana come in? Did she ever see her merman again? Susan was curious, but not rude enough to ask.
She smiled with out her teeth, not knowing what to say exactly. she folded the letter again, careful to rip or crease it unnecessarily. She turned to Gat to as if to hand him the letter if he had not yet read it.

[glow=red,2,300]"I have heard of it though I'm not very good at Herbology. reading does wanders when you've lived like a muggle"[/glow]
"I have only heard about it as well. I was told that someone used it at the Tri-wizard tournament. It helped him breath under the water for an hour. Thats all I know." Gat replyed to them honestly.
Gat watched as Ariana handed the note to Susan and smiled at him while Susan was looking at the note. He quickly flashed a smile back before Susan looked up again.
[glow=red,2,300]"Thank you both"[/glow]
He took the note Susan offered him and read it thoughtfully. It seemed as if, this Callia anted to live with a merman but could not find a way. One phrase stood out to him. "You were a good friend and an even better lover." Gat didn't even know that it was possible. To love a merman. Though he presumed it was a merman, as it said "Please take care and find happiness with pretty girl who is a merfolk." Gat lulled over the words for a little while. Trying to find a deeper meaning. Suddenly, his mind went black. He fell over. He then opened his eyes. He was in Hogwarts. Looking over the lake. But what Gat could see, shocked him. Though he could not say anything. All he could do was think. He could see his father, but younger, standing by the lake with another woman. This women looked slightly like Ariana. His father was chatting with her. An immense feeling of sadness came over him. Except it wasn't his feeling. A single tear slided down his face. Except it wasn't his tear. He did not understand it. He walked away from the window, past a mirror. He looked in the mirror and saw his mother. A tear on her face. Suddenly he was jerked out of his mothers body. He opened his eyes and he was on the ground beside the lake once more. He had a shocked look on his face. He did not speak but got up and started to walk away.

Ariana watched Gat walk away and fallowed after him. She grabbed his sleeve, "Something wrong?" she whispered wondering if he was okay. She was unsure if Susan was fallowing them or not but it really didn't matter. Ariana fallowed him all to where every it was he was going. The shocked look on his face worried her because she didn't know much about Gats past. "Gat are youokay?" she asked once more when he didn't answer yet. She looked over shoulder and swore. She had forgotten her book bag. She had everything else just forgot that darn book bag. She looked back at Gat as they were still walking.

'Gat?'She thought in an asking way, 'Are you okay? I'm here if you need any help' She added. She wasn't scared but worried thats all. She looked around and saw that they where near the whomping willow. 'You do know where we are right Gat' she though hoping they weren't to close to the tree. Though she had never been here before just the name whomping willow told you that the tree could try to hurt you in someway. Her had was still on Gats sleeve which still held on to tightly. 'Maybe we should move?' She though

Ariana was unsure what to do as Gat looked as if he had spaced out. She pulled him back with all her power to a saver area. She looked around wandering what to do. She sat down on a rock that was near by and looked at the now cloudy sky. It looked as if it would ran which made it really cold as she was still in light clothes. She hoped that what ever Gat was in would blow over quickly. Ariana slivered and looked around for Susan. She was no where to be seen and Ariana shook her head. hopefully she was still with Ariana's book bag. It begin to lightly rain and Ariana swore as she became really cold.
