“I have more tofu if you’d like, but I think desert should be soon and I don’t think there is much meat in those.
D'rorah shook her head a bit. "Thank you for your offer. I believe I have taken enough of your hospitality this evening, Mister Weiss. And I am not typically much of one for sweet foods." She carefully pushed her empty plate aside, setting her silverware atop it meticulously. "Perhaps a cup of coffee might be a good idea though," she remarked, hoping there would indeed be some coffee to be had, even though it was dinnertime. Perhaps though, with a bit of coffee in her, she'd be able to get a bit more of her research done.
She watched as the dinner items on the table began to rapidly disappear and a vast selection of dessert foods appeared in their places. It was staggering to see the sheer variety of desserts offered at Hogwarts. D'rorah gave a cursory glance over the offerings before deciding that she simply wasn't interested. Perhaps she would wake up in the morning and have breakfast though... she needed to make the effort to attend to meals, even if they weren't always all that fabulous for a vegetarian.

"Thank you for your offer. I believe I have taken enough of your hospitality this evening, Mister Weiss. And I am not typically much of one for sweet foods. Perhaps a cup of coffee might be a good idea though."
He smiled nodding as he finished his own plate and set it aside, his fork and knife set neatly on it. "It's no trouble really D'rorah, but if your sure. I'm hoping they have tea, I've been drinking too much juice lately."
He watched as the dinner items on the table began to rapidly disappear and a vast selection of dessert foods appeared in their places. It was staggering to see the sheer variety of desserts offered at Hogwarts. Cavan looked over everything like a child in a candy shop, the same look he'd had at the book shop not that long ago. Finally he decided on a slice of angel food cake and a large bowl of various berries and sliced fruits. At least some of their deserts weren't so high in sugar and goodness knew he didn't need anymore sugar than was absolutely necessary, otherwise he'd be bouncing off the walls.
"I'm really looking forward to working on Aramaic tomorrow. Did you have certain time or place that you wanted to meet? He stabbed a few berries with his fork, sliced a bit of the cake and ate it all together with a grin, a little berry juice running down his chin.

D'rorah laughed quietly and shook her head at seeing juice dribbling down Cavan's chin as he ate his berries and fruits. He was like the little brother she had never had... and had never known she wanted, to be honest. It was an odd thought to have and she pushed it away rather quickly as he commented on learning Aramaic.
"Yes, it should be quite interesting. We should meet after your last class. I believe the easiest place will be the library. If we take a table at the back, it should not be disruptive to the other students... hopefully there will not be too much shushing from the librarian." She paused for a moment, thinking. "I suppose I will clear two hours from my schedule for it. That should provide adequate time for a thorough review. If you need more time, I can cut a bit more into my own translation time."
Thinking of her own translations reminded D'rorah of the fact that she had been interested in pursuing Cavan as a scribal candidate for the Order of Light. She wasn't so sure she wanted to anymore. He was a gift as a linguist from what she had observed so far... a rare find. And she was fond of him for some reason. It certainly had been an odd emotional year for her... she had gone from being a complete outcast to have a boyfriend and now feeling a sort of sisterly affection for her young pupil here. Yes... odd indeed.

He smiled at her laugh, before realizing he was in serious need of a napkin and if this continued a bib. He laughed at himself, wiping his chin with his napkin, which had been hiding under his plate. "Oops, guess I'll have to be more careful. Can't excel at everything I suppose."
"Yes, it should be quite interesting. We should meet after your last class. I believe the easiest place will be the library. "Alright, I'll head straight there after my last class. I'm sure the librarian won't mind. It's not like we can't cast a silencing charm so as not to disturb the other students." He grinned taking another bite of his dessert, careful to contain the dripping this time. "I wouldn't think of cutting into your translating time, two hours is plenty and I'm sure your translations are much more important than mine, honestly. Oh, that reminds me, I wrote to my mom about the apprenticing and everything, so she should be sending an owl back in response within the next few days after she talks to the rest of the family. I'll miss my siblings, but I hope they say that I can, now that it's in my mind, I'm sure it's what I'd like to do. I never really knew what I wanted to do before now. Either way, thanks D'rorah." He smiled at her again before finishing his small slice of angel food cake, left with only the bowl of berries and fruit to finish off.

"You are quite welcome, Cavan," she replied with a slightly crooked smile. "I am happy to hear that you have already spoken with your mother." Though, she wasn't quite sure of that. Being a scribe would place him in danger, something she no longer wanted to do. She wanted to talk to him more about it, but now certainly wasn't the time.
"Well, I should return to my studies," she remarked as she stood from her seat. "There are so many things to accomplish and such a small amount of time for them all. I have greatly enjoyed the pleasure of your company." She carefully stepped back from the table, not wanting to trip over the bench. "I shall see you tomorrow for further tutoring. If you require anything in the meantime, please let me know." With one last small smile, she turned and made her way from the Great Hall, destined for the Ravenclaw common room and her books.
