Bryan did not extend too much thought over the events that lead him onto the grounds with the other three students. He wasn’t really certain he wanted to contemplate the thoughts of his brother being an Elemental Master as well. Had that happened before? It was certainly an interesting thought in itself. Why were there two Elemental Masters within the same family? Did they have some descendents who had been involved in the Shadow wars that it would crop up in both boys? Granted, Bryan did not know how anyone was chosen to take on the role of Elemental Master or Shadow Warrior. Was it genetic? Or was it just based on some sort of traits a person possessed? The thoughts were certainly ones to be pondered over, but standing by the lake, in the rain, with curfew nearing was probably not the time to be thinking about them.
The Gryffindor watched as Caitlin came to and spoke before he had made his suggestion on moving and D’rorah had gotten to her feet. He watched his brother for a moment longer as the younger Gryffindor helped the Hufflepuff to her feet before his attention changed back to D’rorah as she casted a spell over the two of them. As he watched his fellow light fighters meld into the background, he felt D’rorah take his hand and on instinct, Bryan grabbed a hold of Sam’s sleeve before the group started their trek from the grounds of the school to those of Hogsmeade. Bryan didn’t know where the cottage D’rorah spoke of, and he didn’t think Sam or Caitlin knew either, so it was no surprised when the Ravenclaw Prefect took the lead of the group.
As he followed D’rorah, he could barely make out the thin outline of her in front of him. If it weren’t for the strange path the rain drops that fell over her took and the feel of her hand over his, his mind would probably question it. But instead, he ignored the weirdness of the situation he was in, sure he would probably be in weirder ones eventually, and just concentrated on following the older girl and making sure he retained a grip on Sam’s arm so that the Gryffindor could follow the pair easier than merely by watching their outlines in the rain.
