Alrighty...
***FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DON'T WANT TO READ THIS WHOLE LONG STORY SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM!!!***
This plot did not originate in my mind as taking place in the HP world, so suggestions and alterations are welcome. Just run them by me first :-).
10,000 years ago, when most human were learning the tricks of fire, spears and hunting, there was a large civilization which was advanced beyond anyone's imagination. It did not start out that way, but once a new king, Lezera, came into power the primitive village grew rapidly into a city, called Trebiska. Most of the city dwellers had their own ideas about what made their harvests more bountiful, and what made the water come out of spigots on command. Few knew about what exactly was going on behind the castle walls.
Within this time period, the first wizards and witches emerged. But they did not have the simple skills that the students know learn at Hogwarts, their powers were much more impressive. They did not know there were others like them, however, and they lived in relative isolation in small communities. News traveled, however, of someone who was able to make the weather change, and another who could move obects at will, and still others could bring back the dead, or read minds. But these rumors were scant and few believed the tales.
However, Lezerra was intrigued by the idea of these powerful people and gathered all the lore he could on them, unsure if there was only one, many, and if they were even alive anymore. He dubbed them the "Cadorem," which meant "glorious ones" in their language.
The powerful beings WERE alive, and had developed their skills over many hundreds of years. Regarded as gods in their villages, most saw little need of ever leaving or trying to spread their influence to other parts of the world. Lezerra eventually was able to gather that there were 5 living Cadorem, known as:
Kafero: He had the ability to manipulate the moon and therefore control the tide and in some respects the weather. He was said to have some influence on the sun as well.
Mintuza: Woman who could control space/telekenisis. Towards the end of her life, she was also able to manipulate time and correct wrongs with small changes. Seer.
Perdune: He had the touch of life and death. He could keep a person from crossing over until proper care came to them. It was even rumored that he was able to bring back the dead, although it was only for a few days, and could make anything decay or die.
Zorina: She had almost complete power over whatever grew in the earth, or earth itself. She could form caves, aid in the growth of plants, and even travel through the earth.
Brakenin: He could make potions which could make the drinker feel happy, fall in love, be lucky, or even heal them. Some scant rumors that he could make potions affect people without anyone drinking it also surfaced.
Lezerra wanted his tiny town to become more powerful, and so he enlisted the help of the Cadorem once he finally found their location. But the other Cadorem were not supposed to know about one another, and the individual plans were kept secret. Lezerra wanted each of them to channel their abilities so that he could use them for his own advantage. Of course, what is not know is how he was able to convince them to do this, or what he said to get them on his side. What IS know is that soon after Lezerra contacted the Cadorem, his tiny town began to thrive and develop technology, culture, and a metropolis the likes of which people had never seen.
But, as those in power tend to do, the king became drunk with his own ambition and soon the city-dwellers lived in fear. Lezerra had become unstable, and often lashed out at anyone who crossed him the wrong way and abused the gifts the Cadorem had given him. His cousin, Thesiri, became very worried about his erratic behavior and prayed very often for him to return to normal. But she soon found that prayer was not enough, and decided that she needed to visit at least one of the Cadorem to tell them how their gift was being used by the king. During one of Lezerra's tirade, he managed to imprison a young girl in a pale jade stone, to reside there for eternity. Her name was Sorgana, and Thesiri managed to steal her from Lezerra's study, replacing it with a fake.
She gathered a few of her closest confidants to travel and find Zorina and Kafero, who were the closest to their city. The two Cadorem appeared shocked when they heard of the king's actions, and volunteered to help bring an end to the tyranny...
But while Thesiri and her companions were away, the king had decided to try and combine his gifts into one extremely powerful weapon to use against oncoming troops. The device was unstable, and blasted the entire city into dust. What Thesiri and the others found upon return was ruins; no one had survived, but the weapon was still intact and burried beneath the rubble. They were able to retrieve the weapon, and decided that it was for the best that each of the 5 components of the weapon be scattered to the ends of the earth.
With Zorina's ability to travel anywhere the ground touched, they group was able to make the journey rather quickly. The "gifts" were hidden and protected with strong enchantments within a few months. They all wanted to destroy the gifts, so no one could use them ever again, but Kafero insisted that they were still too unstable. The protections were supposed to slowly seep out the power of the gifts so they could be destroyed once the enchantments wore off. The defenses would be gone after several millenia, and they al knew it. Taking this into account, Kafero and Zorina performed a ceremony with Thesiri and her companions that ensured all of them would be reincarnated before the protections wore off completely.
The stone which encapsulated Sorgana was also given a special charm, that it would find its way back to Thesiri so she would be convinced her mission was true. Sorgana would be able to appear, only in a shadow-like form, but she would be able to communicate to the past-Thesiri why she has been having odd dreams and what must be done. The reincarnations of all of the companions would all begin to have dreams of their past memories around the time the protections were wearing off.
Fast forward to the present. Thesiri is Wysteria and she's been having odd dreams. But the people aren't familiar and the place is not anything she's ever seen. Sorgana's stone will make her appearance as a pendant soon, and it will all be set into motion. They must find out about the lost city, what has happened, and where the gifts are. It will not be easy, since the entire city was destroyed and little information exists on it. There are diaries, old documents, and many other things to find (although the diaries may not be found for a long time, but they are crucial).
But there is also someone that doesn't want the gifts to be destroyed...and that person is sending old world demons to fight whoever is perceived to get in their way. Some of the demons can even possess muggles or wizards. But no one will know this until several attacks have ocurred.
So....what parts are available???
Well, Zorina and Kafero are not available right now, for reasons that will become clear later. The amount of companions is not at a set number, and the details of an individual's past life a are very open. In other words, you can create most of your character . You'll start having dreams about your past life, but you'll only remember little flashes and images at first.
***BASIC PREMISE***: Reincarnations from a long-dead civilization must now destroy different parts of a powerful weapon made by ancient wizards that was abused by a king. The pieces were scattered, and the enchantments will soon be gone. The pieces are supposed to not be powerful anymore (but this will be found to not be true--they are still quite powerful and can still be used). There is an evil force trying to thwart their efforts to destroy this weapon, which must first be put back together before it is destroyed. Ancient demons are after them, called by an unknown source. Details of your past life are up to interpretation, which can eb crucial since as you remember more and more things (the memories will NOT come all at once, and some may even be shielded for some reason or another), which can help us to understand where the pieces are, and who or what are sending the demons. Oh, and the demons are also possessing muggles and wizards...but we don't know that yet.
And questions or suggestions are welcome!!! There's more to this plot that I'm not detailing here, for a few reasons...#1--plot twisit are fun, #2--those details may be changed, #3--very few people would read this if it lasted for 20 pages.
I am fairly open and encourage anyone to come forward with any concerns or comments, PM, IM me or just reply within this thread :-)
