Smiling tiredly at her description of Ryder, he saw her readjusting herself into what he assumed was a more comfortable position. He saw D'rorah gathering her things out of the corner of his eye and turned to her as she began leaving. "Goodnight," he said simply. He didn't know her too well, but did see her around a lot. Maybe some time soon they'd talk some more and he might get to know what she's really like. But as it was, she was simply one of those Ravenclaws that stood out, smarter than all the rest, and tended to drift off into their own world. True, Dylan himself did this, but not due to his intelligence. Just his lack of concentration.
The warm flames licked at his cheek and all down the right side of his body as he was still facing Laine, his left side turned away from the fireplace. He felt so at ease, so relaxed, that he easily understood how he'd fallen asleep during his research. "I might head off too..." he said to his remaining companion, smiling vaguely. "Getting rather sleepy..." Trailing off, he shook his head from side to side slightly, then shut the book he had open and bent down to pick up the others. He dragged himself off the large leather armchair with a great effort and nodded politely to her. "Good talking to you again." He walked slowly towards the boys' staircase, dragging his feet and wishing with all his might that he didn't have to walk up it.

"Aw, all right, goodnight than." Laine pouted. She sighed as Dylan headed toward the stairecase and laid her head back on the couch. She was indeed disappointed both of her companions had just left so suddenly and she was alone again. Sleep had left her after she'd came downstaires and began talking and now she was on her own.
There really wasn't anyone of interest left in the common room and Laine didn't want to sleep. Oddly, more than anything, she disired her piano and her fingers were itchy to play. She closed her eyes and laid on the couch, hoping maybe she'd get sleepy again and be able to drift off.
