((yes Susan you did receive an evaluation back. I handed it to you just before ihanded dylans out to him. I however choose not to comment to you directly as i decided the paper would do the talking for me. ))
Evelyn smiled happily at D’rorah’s response. Although she was quite certain that the seventh year student might find this class a bit boring, she was confident that as the year progressed things would get better. After this class she would have a very good idea of each students abilities. An assessment that was only good if the students returned to her class on a daily basis. Thinking of the way things appeared she however found that such hopes were feeble.
“Very good Miss Philosophy. I feel that we need a bit of point inflation today. Particular seeing how our standing are currently. Lets see. Miss Philosophy, 10points for you answer. Then we’ll give 5 to every student that arrived today for class. Which gives us 5 for Hufflepuff, 20 for Ravenclaw, 15 for Slytherin, and 10 for Gryffindor. Now on top of that I would like to reward Mister Cooper, Mister Darko, Miss O’Connell and Miss Matthews for being the only four students to actually make it two classes in a row. Next an additional 15 to Mister Cooper, and Miss O’Connell for being the only two student’s last class to receive an outstanding on their potions. And finally if Mister Bishop can answer my previous question I will award him another 10. So providing my math is correct, and mister bishop responds correctly we should be looking at 5 points to Hufflepuff, 55 to Ravenclaw, 45 to Slytherin, and 15 to Gryffindor. But please keep in mind this will not be an everyday occurrence. In fact it might be a once in a year occurrence so count yourselves lucky. Let’s hope that this brightens everyone’s day. Now, Mister Bishop, if you would please?”
Feeling absolutely positive about what she was doing she smiled happily at the class. The school as a whole needed some uplifting, and giving out point sure was one way of doing it. At least no one could say she was playing favorites, it just happened to be the way the students showed up, and the participation in her class. Besides, surely she would favor her own house above the rest. Something that is hard to do when only one student from it shows up. She moved to her desk and took a seat in her chair, setting a few papers in order while she waited for Zane to respond.
