((OOC: meh, i'm no good at starting threads. anyone who is interested can join lol. and i haven't named this thread cause i can't think of any name for it:/))
Vivian threw her hood over her windswept hair and entered the Three Broomsticks, purposely slamming the door to gain attention from the other people in the pub. Vivian loved attention, for it was the one thing she had been deprived of back at home, so she was definitely not going to waste the opportunity to gain some of it.
Brushing off the few small leaves that had dropped on her shoulder impatiently, Vivian strode to the empty table by the window where she had a perfect view of the going-ons outside the pub, smirking as heads turned her way. She had gotten what she wanted.
Calling out for a jug of butterbeer, Vivian stared out of the shop, looking for someone she could practice some spells on. Scanning around the streets, Vivian located her target-a muggleborn. She could tell by the awkwardness and the dressings of the small girl that she came from a muggle family. The glance of the girl toward an older lady that was exchanging muggle money for galleons confirmed her point.
An evil grin spreading across her lips, Vivian pulled her wand out of her sleeve and aimed it at the girl. “Sectumsepra” she muttered. The girl’s screams could be heard even through the glass separating Vivian and her victim. Vivian smirked as she watched the girl’s bewildered and terrified mother rush over to her daughter, apparently wondering what could possibly have happened to her precious child. A voice spoke behind her back, jolting Vivian out of her thoughts. Surprised, Vivian turned.

Enjoying a warm mug of Butterbeer, Susan was content to sit alone for the time being. It was a slam of the door that caused her to spill half of her drink down her sweater. Though she could have easily fixed the dampness and the stain, first she set her eyes on the guilty party. Susan held in the urge to swear as the young girl who had caused the commotion unknowingly chose the table directly behind her.
Susan made a face as the girl called out for a drink like she owned the place. Susan openly, turned and looked at the newcomer. Was she for real? She couldn't have been more than fourteen years old. What gave a girl that much boldness?
Deciding to move on, and hoping that the new girl would get over herself Susan turned back to her own table. With a quick flick of her wand combined with the utterance "Tergio", the stain and wetness to her sweater were gone.
Once again Susan went to take a sip of her Butterbeer. Susan was close enough to hear the curse as it was muttered. This time, she spit the warm liquid out herseld, replacing the previous stain with a new one. When the screams of a young girl echoed through out the pub, she acted on instinct. She stood up, knocking down her chair in the process and pointed her wand at the arrogant girl.
"Expelliarmus!" The girl's wand flew into her free hand. Then to show that she meant business, Susan added, "Stupefy!" in hopes that the girl would be knocked off her feet.
Finally able to use her voice for something other than wand work, Susan shouted over the commotion, "What the hell was that for?!" She glanced nervously at the young girl writhing on the floor. Horrible cuts marked her body. Cuts that would never truly heal. Dylan . . . This girl had struck home, whomever she was. Susan hated her already. She had the potential to be with the Mage and certainly was not of the Lightfighters. Susan kept her wand steady on the girl, waiting for whatever sorry excuse she had to offer.

“Expelliarmus!” Caught unawares, her wand held loosely at the edges of her fingers flew swiftly out of her grip. A small thud from behind meant that whoever the caster of the spell was had caught her wand. With a mixture of anger and amusement, Vivian turned to face the girl.
Great, she thought. The mere sight of the girl’s Gryffindor robes irritated her. That’s just what they are, the Gryffindors, commonly noted for their bravery, or if Vivian puts it her way, interference and over confidence. Looking up at the girl’s face, she could tell that the girl was about just a year older than her. The angry lines outlining her face plainly said that she meant business. “Stupefy!” the girl shouted, but this time, Vivian was ready for it and dodged the spell.
“What the hell was that for?!” she cried angrily at Vivian, holding her wand steady. Vivian momentarily glanced behind her shoulder, at the girl writhing on the ground. Deep gashes had appeared on her body. Vivian smiled. She thrived at others’ dispair.
“That?” Vivian asked cooly, gesturing behind her back. “Well, put it this way. Its just spell practising.” She smirked, and added in an undertone, “on those who deserve it”

It enraged Susan to see her spell dodged so easily by a fourth year. And a Slytherin at that. She would have reissued the spell, but didn't want to overdo it. She certainly had the advantage with two wands to zero. Did this girl think no one would notice where such a dark spell came from? What she that naive? Susan thought but did not voice.
Susan held the urge to knock this wannabe out, muggle-style, and rush to the bleeding girl by the bar. She knew a slew of charms meant to heal, but she also knew that none of them would work against a sectumsempra curse. The young girl would be scarred for life.
“Well, put it this way. Its just spell practising.” She smirked, and added in an undertone, “on those who deserve it”
Anger coursing through her veins, Susan took a step closer touching her wand to the girl's neck. "Who do you think you are?" Susan asked furiously. "You'll surely be expelled for this," she paused to shake the wand tauntingly in her left hand, "a small revealing charm will let anyone who questions me know that it was exactly you who did this."
"Tell me your name," Susan commanded of the girl. She knew she was making a scene, but when none of the nearby adults made any moves to discipline this sorry excuse for a witch, Susan had to step up.

Vivian could tell that the girl that confronted her showed much concern towards the little muggle born she had cursed with the Sectumsempra spell from her body language. This pleased Vivian a lot more, for her mere spell had gotten her discomfort for more than just one person.
The girl crossed over to Vivian and raised her wand so it touched Vivian’s neck. “ . "Who do you think you are? You'll surely be expelled for this," she paused to shake the wand tauntingly in her left hand, "a small revealing charm will let anyone who questions me know that it was exactly you who did this." Vivian laughed. She could not help it. Did the girl think that such a threat would scare her off? She’s got to be kidding. ”Tell me your name” the girl demanded.
“Why should I?” Vivian taunted. She was annoyed to be questioned of like this by a Gryffindor girl. “Besides, what I do is my business isn’t it? What’s it to you?” she sneered. This was yet another one of Vivian’s flaws. She could not help retaliating to what others said.

"Your business?" Susan cried incredulously. This girl was trying to mess with her. "Your business includes dark magic? Your business includes the pain and suffering of innocent people?" Susan shook her head in a way that suggested she was disappointed. If this girl wasn't yet in league with the Mage, she was definitely on the right track. It sickened Susan to see this young girl, full of potential, crashing like this.
"You have got to be kidding me."
A man nearby placed his hand on Susan's shoulder, attempting to ask her to be reasonable. Maybe not to cause a scene. Susan shrugged him off, "Help me, or shove off!" Susan hadn't been this angry in a long time. She almost scared herself with her own ferocity.
"Come with me," Susan nudged the girl who refused to release her name. She intended to lead her back to the castle where the Headmistress would deal with her. While Susan had never personally spoken to Headmistress LaPointe, she had no doubt that she would be willing to punish this Slytherin severely.
Susan risked a glance at the bleeding girl and her mother. Several people were gathered around her attempting healing spells. "Take her to the castle, I'm sure the School Healer will be able to help," Susan directed her voice toward the cluster before returning to face the perpetrator.

"Your business?" the girl cried incredulously. “Your business includes dark magic? Your business includes the pain and suffering of innocent people?" A delicate smile danced across her lips, almost unseen. yes, she thought. that last sentence almost summed up everything.
“Come with me,” the Gryffindor girl said, nudging Vivian. Vivian had loathed coming into physical contact with anyone she disliked, and purposely made to brush the part of her shoulder where the girl had touched her. “What, you’re giving up already?” Vivian challenged the girl. “You’re obviously going to lead me somewhere where adults will help you in lecturing me.” she stated, rolling her eyes.
The girl glanced quickly at the group of people gathered round the bleeding girl Vivian cursed. "Take her to the castle, I'm sure the School Healer will be able to help," the girl cried over to the group across the road. “Oh wow,” Vivian put in sarcastically. “You do love playing the hero, don’t you.” She rolled her eyes again. “Always helping people in trouble?” she added.

Damn. This girl is good. Susan listened with what must have been a disbelieving look on her face. The Slytherin knew just how to weave her words. Once a master of words herself, Susan recognized the techniques. First she attempted putting doubt in her mind:
“What, you’re giving up already?” Vivian challenged the girl.
Then she added the tricky part of making it seem like Susan couldn't handle the situation herself:
“You’re obviously going to lead me somewhere where adults will help you in lecturing me.” she stated, rolling her eyes.
Lastly, the witty sarcasm:
“You do love playing the hero, don’t you.” She rolled her eyes again.
Susan itched to knock this girl out--Muggle style. It certainly would get the job done faster, and she would be less likely to be expelled for it. Susan gripped her wand tighter. The word "hero" echoed in her head. Of all the things Susan had done in her life, none of them had ever been considered "heroic" before.
"See here," Susan began to reason with her. "You are clearly out numbered." Susan took a moment to look around the pub. She was relieved to see that many grown wizards had now drawn their own wands in defense. While they weren't exactly pointing them at the Slytherin girl, it was nice to see them ready in their hands. "If you come with me, I won't be able to use force to make you come with me," Susan chose her words carefully. Two could play at this game.
"You wouldn't want me to have the satisfaction of carrying you there myself, now would you?" She flashed one of her award winning smiles in a way that suggested, get your butt moving.

Vivian followed the girl’s glance around the pub. Sure, a couple of the grown wizards had now drawn their own wands out, but they were not exactly pointing them at her. She managed a light smile to see that some of the wizards were only drawing their wands out for self-protection, perhaps afraid the girl might start a fight with Vivian, but not exactly wanting to get themselves into the “quarrel”.
Vivian sure was not an amateur when it came to recognising sarcasm and hidden meanings between lines. The girl was obviously trying to get her to go obediently and quietly with her, hoping that her line would taunt Vivian into doing so. The annoying smile she flashed at Vivian irritated Vivian even more.
“You think that will get me to come along quietly with you?” she sneered. Vivian was definitely not the good-girl-who-listens type, as the girl might have guessed by now. “In that case, you thought wrong.” Vivian eyed her wand held in the girl’s hand in silence. Her eyes traced the lovely sycamore wood winding its way up the wand, in the carving of a snake.

After the Slytherin's last comment. Susan felt that she had no other choice. The injured girl was quickly being ushered out of the pub, carried by a kind man and lead by the girl’s mother. As that part of the commotion had at last left, only whispers remained in the Three Broomsticks. Susan steadied her wand arm.
“Well, then,” Susan said as-a-matter-of-factly, “Petrificus Totalus!” She held her wand directly at the impossible girl and watched as she went totally rigid. Anyone else in the pub might have figured that Susan had been waiting to do this all along. Several gasps confirmed this fact. Truthfully, Susan felt her stomach tighten as she hated what she knew she had to do.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" Susan attempted to levitate the now-frozen impediment. She grunted under the sudden weight attached to her wand-arm. Susan was only accustomed to moving a few books and small furniture. The weight of a whole person caught her by surprise. Before she managed to drop the girl, Susan shoved the girl's wand into her robe pocket and took hold of her own with both hands and she maneveured the dead-weight to the exit.
OOC: I'm sorry, I kind of assumed that my Petrificus Totalus spell hit you. I can modify if it really bothers you.

OOC: its alright. i can't think of a better reply:
“well then, Petrificus Totalus!” the unbelievably annoying Gryffindor girl said matter-of-factly, and Vivian found herself frozen like a stone carving, only in a less pleasurable position. great, she thought. She had lost to the girl. Now she would suffer the horrible torturing humiliation of having lost to a Gryffindor girl.
With a “Wingardium Leviosa” , the girl managed to lift Vivian off the ground where she had fallen. Strange, Vivian thought. She could have easily used a locomotor charm to lift her, weightlessly, so why spend more time and effort with the other spell? Oh right, she probably wanted to humiliate Vivian more.
Vivian glanced around as the curious bar patrons turned her way. She felt a rush of warmth on her cheeks. This is the first time in many years she had blushed. Vivian took a look at the Gryffindor girl, her eyes cold as ice, a look of malice vowing to get her once this was over.
