Dien Serlaen walked sullenly in the room. He sketched over some things on the board. It was a very complex math problem he had to research the other day. He walked out of the room to his office and carried in a heavy machine, setting it on a wide table in front of his. It sputtered with an odd tinkling sound, then came to life. He entered three digits in the top, and it printed out a paper. He put the paper on his desk, and sat down in his chair to read it. When he was finished, he continued the math problem and opened the shutters on the windows. He sighed, his breath raspy and forced. It turned into a cough, which he quickly shook himself out of. He arranged the desks so that they were all facing towards the middle of the room, so that there was a way to the back. The left side desks were all facing the right, and vice versa. The Professor of Arithmancy and ex-Slytherin Ghost sat down in his chair once more.

D'rorah made her way into the classroom quietly. Among the many things on her mind was the fact that Dylan had been attacked and currently resided in the infirmary. She nodded toward Professor Serlaen and made her way to her desk. She took a seat and set out her materials before looking up at the board, studying the complex problem which had been inscribed there. Now, this was the sort of assignment she had been hoping for, something which might take her endless hours of research and corrections and intense concentration before finally being solved. She hoped they would actually be working with the problem during class and began to write it down so that she might have it readily available to work with.
