Katherine is going to suffer a major catastrophe back home when she goes for a short weekend visit. The aftermath will be escaping with her life back to Hogwarts, with the family sword in her possession, along with the key to her family vault at Gringotts. However, she'll be losing her family, becoming an orphan.
Other than having Professor O'Neill become her guardian, I have no further plot details set in stone. Anyone want to get in on the damage control after she returns to Hogwarts? I can either put the experience in the "Miscellaneous places" area or have it play out as she's telling everyone involved what on earth happened.
Sign up for the mayhem, and we'll go at it.

Hmmmm...
I'm assuming that Anton will be accepted on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team as the other beater...so...
The two will obviously know each other quite well. The funny thing is, they are at least six years apart. That will be great for team dynamics. However, Anton is not the most compassionate of persons to those he does not deem part of his close circle...
My head is full of ideas. I can really see Anton teasing her and tormenting her just because she is so much younger and smaller, prior to this tragedy. Perhaps she comes to loathe him? But after the tragedy...well, he's still maintains his antagonizing tendencies but sticks up for her somehow? What do you think?

She'd probably not loathe him, just treat him with proper civility and a cold shoulder - showing him up by "smothering him in honey", as it were. They're Housemates and teammates, so she would at least be polite, even if it were with a cold shoulder. And having them warm up to each other over time would be cool. She'd probably not believe him at first, but once she realized he was actually sticking up for her, she'd thaw out around him. Welcome aboard the idea train!
