Singing. Singing and music. Oh, and can’t forget dancing. Those are Zachary’s passions. They are what his life revolves around. Ever since he was tiny – as far back as he can remember – those three things have been a part of his life. If anyone tries to prevent him taking part in anything that involves any of those, he will simply not stand for it. Singing always came naturally to him and he found joy in perfecting his voice. He learnt to play flute too, although isn’t quite as good with them as just his voice on its own, and has been learning bagpipes for a couple of years. He knows traditional dancing and practices that whenever he can, not really understanding the supposed non-connection between males and dancing. Anyone can see the brightness and pure life on his face as he is performing.
He is particularly ambitious when it comes to his music, wanting to take it as far as he can, and beyond. He works at it hard because he can see something good coming out of it. However, if he doesn’t see the worth in something then he will not try at all – in particular, one of the subjects he finds boring and worthless, yet unfortunately compulsory at Hogwarts, is Herbology.
Zach is a pretty outgoing kid. He’s confident in his abilities, knows what he can and can’t do with competence and isn’t afraid to ask for help if he needs it, so long as he is sure he won’t be made a fool of for not knowing something. The confidence can be asserted as arrogance sometimes. He can be rebellious, ignoring authority figures to get what he wants, and has been known to get into a fair few fights in his short twelve years. He will not stand for being put down or embarrassed in front of his peers
Although he generally appears pleasant on the outside, Zachary has a side to him that not many people see unless they get on his bad side. If someone makes him angry – by insulting him, or one of his friends, or any other action he sees as not right – then they have made an enemy for life. He can be quite vindictive when he wants to be. Unlike some, he does not show it as obvious when he loses his temper – he stores his anger away and vents it slowly, intelligently. It may not be immediately obvious when he dislikes you, but you will work it out soon enough. He adores playing practical jokes on those he doesn’t like, especially since he is usually clever enough to not get caught. People know he did it, but there is no proof for them.
History:
Zachary was born on the 3rd February, as the only son of Duncan and Lorna Adams, a married pureblood couple both from Scotland. They were the perfect happy family, living on a large inherited estate and educating their only son and heir in what he needed to know. He was sent to the local primary, where he made many friends but also a number of enemies. It was also here that he first discovered his love of music. A troupe of traditional folk musicians and dancers from the secondary school in a nearby town came to perform for the younger students, and Zachary was immediately entranced.

"Right. I’m angry, but I’m not stupid. Let’s just work this out... with a couple of stinkbombs and a bottle of ink."
