Aimee slid her green dress up and reached behind her to zip it up. The dress stopped about half and inch above her knee.It was a light lime green with hunter green toole around the chest and poking out of the bottom. there was beading on the waist, Aimee's favorite part. she looked in the full length mirror she had conjured on the door of one of the stalls, the dress fit her to a tee. She looked around the floor for her silver high heels. Spotting them under the sink, she bent down to grab them.
After she got the shoes on her feet she tried to stand up, "That wasn't so hard." Aimee was the most nervous about the heels. She had looked everywhere for a pair of flat shoes and had even considered going barefoot. Seeing that standing up was easy, Aimee decided that a few practice runs would be safe. She walked the length of the bathroom a few times, stumbling a few times.
A few times is okay, I suppose, she thought and took one final look in the mirror. She had made her hair a bit more curly than usual, thanks to a muggle hair product, and had done her make up before putting on the dress. Her eyes were lined in black with light violet shadow and black mascara. She had brushed on rose colored blush and put on pink lipstick. Aimee smoothed her dress and nodded at her reflection. She gathered up her things and stuffed them into her silver clutch bag.
On the way to the ballroom, Aimee stumbled about eight times, but she made it without twisting her ankle. the Weird Sisters' music hammered her ears, perfumes filled her nostrils and the sight of people dancing and talking met her eyes. Instead of standing in the doorway, she walked over to one of the tables. Aimee hadn't bothered to find a date, but she did hope that she would soon have some company and maybe a dance or two.
