Name: Ursula “Felix” Adrienne Dragonavicious
Age: 15
Sex: Female
Nationality: England
Speech: Speaks English only
Blood: Mixed-Blood
Father: Oz Dragonavicious
Mother: Solveig Dragonavicious (was a muggle and died when Ursula was 3)
Siblings:2 sisters, Gwendolyn and Cordelia, both are older.
Other Family:
Family Interactions: After Solveig's death, Oz became obsessed with potions, and have all but forced that life style on Ursula and her sisters. They were never called by their given names but instead Oz gave all three girls potion-based nicknames. Ursula was named “Felix” after Felix Felicis, Cordelia was called Amoren (Amorentia) , and Gwendolyn became Veritas (Veritiserium).
Many late nights at the Dragonavicious household was spent cooking potions or testing ancient potion theories. Due to this Felix never felt very close to her father and instead wished that long into the night for the mother that she couldn't remember. She thought her father cared more about his potions then her. Oz pondered for many years on whether or not to send Ursula to a muggle school or Hogwarts but when she recieved her letter he made up his mind.
Despite allowing her this freedom, Felix still resented her father for always studying potions. The Dragonavicious household was strained, especially between the siblings.
Height: 5’ 7”
Weight: 130 lbs
Hair: Long, thick, red hair. It falls almost to her waist and is completely straight although she would prefer curly.
Eyes: Almond shaped, wide set, jade green eyes.
Skin Colour: Very pale skin, although she spends lots of time outdoors.
Clothing style: Dresses in a mixture of styles although she prefers jeans to skirts and tight-fitting clothes to baggy.
Accessories: Wears a cylinder shaped pendent around her neck at all times. It opens but she has never opened it. Belonged to her mother and her father gave it to her.
Other: Felix’s face is oval shaped and she has received the high cheekbones of her mother. Her hands and forearms are slightly scarred from burns and injuries she received during one of her many Potion lessons. Also she active and well toned, but is fairly chesty.
Paragraph Format: Felix is a brightly young woman who stands about 5 feet, seven inches and weighs about 130 pounds. Her long red hair can usually be found freely flowing and unrestrained. Her jade green eyes tell her true feelings even when her face has hidden it well. Her skin is very pale, and in proper lighting her veins can be traced quite far up her arm, but she doesn’t burn in the sun very often. She wears a variety of different clothes but chooses clothes that flatter her more then what is fashionable at the moment, specifically jeans and form-fitting shirts. Her history can be read all over her arms when the scars she bears on them are seen. However, she is not self-conscious about them in the least and wears many sleeveless shirts. (Her pale skin makes the scars hard to notice.) People often underestimate her abilities which bothers her, but she tries not to have it affect her too much.
Personality: Felix is the type of girl who doesn’t speak unless she has something to say. People often mistake this for shyness, which she has a touch of, but she maintains that she isn’t shy, not after she gets to know you. She isn’t a fan of new situations in the least and avoids them when ever possible.
She loves her nickname but she hates the reason she has it. There is still a lot of lingering aggression toward her father.
Felix has a sense of humor that can be a bit silly at times but tends to be drier. Sometimes peculiar things strike her as hilarious and others just find it odd.
Felix is both courageous and stubborn; both of these attributes fuel each other nicely. Her father was always playing the political game, flattering people that wanted to hire them and talking bad about them to others. Felix never enjoyed this so she became determined to never be like that herself. Her father also told her never to cause problems if possible because problems cause negative attention, which affect their work. Felix never really listened and is not afraid to point out an injustice or stand up for the little guy. She has gotten into fights in the past when a group of guys began picking on a friend of hers. However, Felix is hesitant to fight for herself, she never gets into actual fights, verbal or physical, over something that is about her. Somehow it seems wrong to her.
Felix has a close group of people that she is comfortable with and doesn’t often extend that group. In all honesty she tends to have a bit of trouble making friends. She doesn’t focus on it though and instead resigns herself to that.
Felix is extremely competitive with her sisters. To her father, Amoren was always smarter and Veritas was always more talented. In response Felix worked on being stronger, faster, and smarter then both of them. This has caused a bit of insecurity in her own abilities and she often second-guesses decisions.
Felix loves the outdoors. After the cramped, stuffy, potion-filled, house she grew up in, she wanted to explore the world and enjoy nature in all it’s finery. She likes writing and drawing outside just to breathe in the sweet air.
Felix has several negative qualities that she doesn’t like people to learn about. Both of her sisters cry at the drop of a hat so she doesn’t like to cry ever. Period. Instead she bottles up her emotions which can lead to irrational outburst later. Her temper can sometimes be fiery, which she tries desperately to control. Also she is actually quite good at potions, something she will never admit to her father. And has an irrational fear of raccoons, although she doesn't know where that came from.
History: Although famous, Oz Dragonavicious was far from rich. He did mostly contracted work for the ministry, brewing difficult potions and creating new ones, a job that is neither glamorous nor opulent. It certainly is dangerous though and everyone in the family have scars to show that. But more then that Oz always worked on his own secret project that the girls were never allowed to see. His obsession with this project was part of the reason he was so famous and not rich. He didn't accept big orders from the ministry or even a cushy ministry job, because it would interfer with said project.
Felix was the youngest of the children and never liked the potions she was forced to learn. Her father said that this was his only legacy and that his children must carry it on. Amoren and Veritas accepted their fate but Felix never could. Her early child hood consisted of many tantrums.
Felix had only one friend when she was growing up, Aron Cromwell, a neighbor who she spent most of her time with. They went off adventuring whenever they could.
Felix turned eleven and was ecstatic by her first year at Hogwarts. She spent much of her time with Aron just exploring the many hallways of the school. She helped him along with his homework and generally just enjoyed the freedom she had. Felix was upset to discover that she was fairly decent at potions but didn't let that get her down too much, she was having too much fun with her new found freedom.
The next year, Felix and Aron spent the entire summer together, exploring as they once did. Things were better with Felix and her family. Her mood had improved greatly since her time at Hogwarts. Amoren and Veritas were much older, 15 and 16, and would graduate shortly. This made everyone in the family try harder to band together while there was still time. Oz was still not a very good father though and so Veritas stepped up and tried to council the growing Felix. When she returned to Hogwarts, she made a few new friends, Aron was very social, and learned so much more. The year was nearly uneventful but Felix didn't mind. It was completely perfect to her and she loved it. The next year wouldn't be as good.
By the time Felix turned 13, Oz had becom a complete recluse. He had gotten used to his children being gone for almost an entire year and had hidden inside his mind and cauldron. On the 10th anniversary of Solveig's death he had a nervous breakdown, shouted that he "just needed more time." and was carted off to St. Mungo's for awhile. This was when the sisters discovered he had been working on a resurrection potion. He was trying to raise Solveig from the dead. Felix and Amoren went back to school with a heavy heart and Veritas stayed at home to help out. The school year wasn't nearly as great this time around. Work was harder. The dramas of the hallway were more intense. Felix had to console more crying girls in one week that year then she had ever had to in her entire life before. This was also the year that Aron and her had a huge falling out. She couldn't remember what the fight was about later, only that they had both said hurtful things. It didn't seem their friendship could be repaired.
That summer Oz came home from St. Mungo's feeling much better. When she turned fourteen Felix received a pet. Her father wasn't usually fond of animals but he relented and bought her a tiny brown owl named Chauncey. The twittering bird became a very close friend of Felix. Some people began to think she was mad because she spent so much time with a bird. She didn’t mind. Felix also started to become a type of vigilante around her town. If she ever saw anyone getting picked on she started a fight immediately. This gave her more enemies then if she had left everyone alone. Both the bullies and the victims ended up afraid even though she only beat up one of them. Her sadness reached an all time high and ended up affecting her potions, which affected her fathers now failing business. Veritas had tried in vain to rescue it while her dad was away and now the entire group had to work together to fix it. Veritas and Amoren postponed getting jobs to help their father out. Felix returned to school which was more awkward this year because all of her friends were Aron's friend and they weren't talking. Aron and Felix avoided each other at all costs and by the end of the year Felix began to regret this. She also started thinking about trying out for Quidditch during her 5th year. Her friend suggested it because of her athletic prowess and the idea grew in her mind. She decided that in her 5th year would be her best.
