She wasn't normally the type to dress down much, but with her current assignment, she found herself actually needing to downgrade to a pair of athletic shoes, pants with the letters D-I-V-A across the seat, and a form-fitting, layered tank top. Her colors today were yellow, and pink. It was warm enough outside, well, for March anyway, and she decided against a wind-breaker or hoodie, feeling that extra fabric might hinder her while on her neck-breaking assignment in the Forbidden Forest.
She walked briskly, her form rigid and upright, her right arm hugged across her chest, gripping her left arm as it remained close to her body. Her 11 and 1/2" Sycamore wand was gripped tightly in her left hand, which remained steady at about her hip, ready for any assailant that she may encounter in such a place as the Forbidden Forest, or more colloquially known as the Dark Wood. It was just a little after noon, and the rest of the student body would be indulging in a well balanced meal provided by the Hogwarts House Elves. Most would be attending History of Magic to follow lunch, but she would not. She would most definitely be continuing her toils in the forest, hunting...
It didn't take long for such a sweet girl to turn sour and bitter, from the influence of her childhood friends, poisoning her mindset at an early age. The girl that Ivyria "Ivy" Halliwell was supposed to become, was drastically altered before she turned 11. Though she was always destined for Slytherin house, she perhaps may have been a bit more inclined to the side of light, had she not grown up with such ideals as "blood-purity importance" and reputations of the like. Always lying to herself and others about her own blood status made her quite the bitter, and unhappy person she was today. Finding an outlet for such emotions never came at such a price until that day she encountered him.
He was a rather tall, handsome man. Very distinguished and obviously a man of conviction, that much was clear in his mahogany colored eyes. It was all very unclear why it had been herself that he had selected out of the crowd in Hogsmeade, but it was she, and she alone that he approached. At first, she thought derisively that he was some pervert, some cradle robber trying to cop a feel on some young, and naive, unsuspecting witch. However, the strange feeling she got from him, offering her a chance to do "Great Things" as he put it, caught her attention. It was like some unseen force at work had granted her the fantastical life that she had wanted to live since a young age, yearning for the life her friend Julia had.
It took some time, two days worth to be specific, and she had made her decision. What she was about to sign on for was evil, and it had taken her some time to really mull her thoughts over and determine if she was ready for this stepping stone in her life; a big step up from just being a rather foul, and mischievous girl, to a powerfully evil young woman. She had arranged a meeting with the man at the Hog's Head and pledged her allegiance to the Dark Mistress. She was only fifteen years old.
In the time since then, she had gone through some rigorous training, mostly by trial and error, but significantly enough by guided lessons, courtesy of her new mentor. He would assign her tasks to get accomplished by the end of a weeks time that required not only brains, but physical fitness as well. She struggled at first, but has built up her endurance since. One might not think it, but a girl that looks as "girly" as she, is actually quite physically strong. Now at least...
So she trudged on, stepping over fallen branches, around decaying tree trunks, and pressed on deeper, and even deeper still into the Forbidden Forest. Her goal for the day was a rather dangerous subject that made it's nest in the heart of the Dark Wood. It would be a tricky task to come out unscathed, but Ivy knew she would handle it. She had to. In order to succeed, she had cast a silencing charm over her sneakers, so that whatever noise may have emitted from them crunching over dry twigs and leaves, was muted. She had taken a potion, that was quite difficult to brew, to eliminate her human odor completely, and instead, she now reeked of moss, bark, and other natural odors one would encounter in such a place. She would remember to take the antidote as soon as she returned to the castle, for she could not simply walk into the place smelling like a forest. No, Ivy always exuded a soft scent, leaving an invisible wake of subtly tantalizing perfume as she walks by.
Her hair was bound up, set into a ponytail at first, and then wound it around once more to eliminate the dangling. Rogue strands of dark blond locks brushed her face as she moved, but were quickly secured behind her ears as she pressed on. She kept her mental comments about how disgusting the forest was to a minimum, and instead of complaining to herself how wretched this task was and would be, she kept her mind on her goal.
Finally descending enough into the thick, obscured part of the forest, she began to see the mystifying strands of silk off in the distance, interwoven from the tops of the trees as far as she could see. She would not be able to just waltz right into the nest and take what she was after, but she would have to lure one out, significantly out of the nest so that she could make her hasty departure after the task was finished. She was frozen there in place, unmoving, and eyes scanning the perimeter for possible exit routes, and any uninvited guests, save for herself.
She needed something to lure one out...she needed bait...but what could she use? She scanned the area once more, looking at the debris around her. If she were to lure one of the beasts out, she needed live bait. Frowning at the thought that she should have thought of this before she got this far, and perhaps should have brought a petrified house elf or something, she improvised and transfigured a decaying log into a chittering squirrel. She levitated it and drew her wand along the air, sending it floating forth, toward the nest of Acromantulas not far off. Setting it down on the edge of their supposed territory, she moved behind a large tree and waited there, her eyes never leaving the squirrel as she held it magically in place as it chittered and struggled against the charm.
Come on you wretched beasts...I'm practically handing your lunch to you....come on now... She urged mentally hoping that she wouldn't have to wait any longer. She longed to get back to the castle, get her own scent back, bathe, put on a decent pair of shoes and then resume classes.
Right when she was about to toss the bloody animal away to the side, she heard a rustling, and saw the silhouette of a giant spider; an Acromantula, descending from its home ever so precisely.
Ivy readied herself, and her wand. She wasn't sure exactly how she was to subdue the overgrown spider, but it started with the full body bind curse, and from there, she would improvise.

Alessandro was dead, and Keaira had expressed a desire to spend some time mourning alone. At first Zee had been concerned she was falling back into an old pattern. He didn't press the issue however, not really wanting to indulge in her lamentations for the boy. In truth he had his own thoughts to work through and was a glad of the increased privacy in his mind. Wishing for a bit of privacy in the physical world as well, he'd taken an early lunch in the kitchens and was now stepping out onto the grounds. The cold weather had brought something of a change in his wardrobe, at least on days he knew he'd be going out of doors. Rather than the typical button down, he wore a black undershirt beneath a slim fitting maroon sweater. Though it was a pullover, it had a zipper in the front, reaching from the mid chest to the very top of the high collar. It was of course completely unzipped. The collar was a sturdy enough material to stay up (and thus cover the scar along his neck) without the zipper holding it flush against his throat. Simple dark wash jeans covered his legs, one of his nicer pairs (without the holes), and black ankle length boots adorned his feet.
It was warmer out than he'd expected, and slightly more crowded as well. Zee'd come outside to be alone, but that wasn't quite the case. As he neared a large tree he often sat under to think, he noticed something, someone, entering the Forbidden Forest. They weren't hard to spot, given the light colors they wore, but from this distance he couldn't recognize who it might be. Figuring it to be yet another daft student, Zee rolled his eyes. It seemed it was his turn to play the rescuer as many of the lightfighters had done before (two of them in response to his own entrance into the woods). The girl quickly disappeared and it was too late for him to simply call out to her. Sighing and pulling out his own 13 1/4" wand, also of sycamore, he hurriedly cast his small collection of stealth spells and took off after her, running full out until he reached the woods and had to move a little more carefully.
"More carefully" was still a rather rushed pace as he headed in the direction she'd been going upon entering. After a minute or two of reckless movement he caught sight of the girl, sportily dressed in yellow and pink. Her steps were as silent as his, something he'd not anticipated. Zee nodded to himself, impressed. She was still so very visible however. How did she intend to slip the notice of whatever predator she happened upon? She seemed to be managing it somehow as they continued on for quite some time, going deep into the woods. He was of course unaware of her scent altering potion, as his nose was not nearly keen enough. Had he known his opinion of the girl would have gone up further. He relied on not being seen or heard, knowing the beasts would smell him, but he'd just keep on the move, not allowing them to pinpoint him. Her way was far more creative.
By the time they reached the lair of the acromantulas, he was convinced she had not entered the forest as foolhardily as most did. Whatever reason she was there, it was specific, and she'd come prepared. Seeing the thick, fibrous strands stretching from tree to tree, Zee shuddered. While by no means a paralyzing phobia, he was very much not fond of spiders. Spiders large enough to make a meal out of him thrilled him even less. Watching with some fascination as she transfigured a log, he soon realized what she was doing. Why on earth was she trying to bait an acromantula? Did she plan to attack the thing? Impressed as he was with the girl's power thus far, he wasn't sure he saw the gain in this ambition. For now he remained back a ways, though he began gathering as much metal as he could muster, pooling the element near the surface of the ground beneath his feet. Hopefully he wouldn't need it, not wishing to reveal his Elemental powers to someone not involved in the Shadow War. Still, if the choice were either that or have all his fluids sucked out by a hungry arachnid, he'd go with the former.

Her sense of smell wasn't so keen that it could pick up the odor of a 6th year boy trailing her, and given the fact that he had taken precautions as she did before delving into the dark wood, he went undetected. As she stood there against the trunk of an old tree, watching the acromantula descend from its webby home, she held her breath. Her thoughts began to run through her mind quite quickly. She had never dealt with an acromantula before, other beasts sure, but never an overgrown spider that could potentially kill her if she let her guard down. She had to be quick about her task, otherwise surely the whole nest of its kind would be stirring and after her within moments. The area of the forest which housed the acromantulas was densely covered in thick, white spider silk which mainly adorned the upper levels of the trees, but as she could see a bit further, it appeared that the webs began to make their way down closer to the ground level. She slowly let her air out, and then took another quiet breath and held it.
She was now formulating a plan, thinking of the series of jinxes and spells she should use in capturing her prey. She would need to ensure that its capture would not alert any of the others, so the Silencio spell was at the tip of her tongue. In sequence, perhaps Stupefy to catch it off guard, and then Impedimenta to stop it in its tracks. It had reached the ground and was now paused not several feet from the squirrel. It seemed to be studying it, watching it writhe and chitter about, wondering why it was making such noise and staying in the same spot. Ivy moved her wand a bit which caused the squirrel to appear to move on its own, a bit closer to her to draw the acromantula away from its nest.
[green]There you go...[/green] She thought as she bit her lip in concentration, silently urging the large spider to move forward. As if it heeded her mental call, it slowly began to creep up on the squirrel, eerily not making much noise. The spider looked hideous, like a perversion of nature, it's jaw jutting out with several rows of sharp, dripping fangs. The fangs were what she was after, and hopefully she would make quick work of this once the spider came within close proximity.
She felt her entire body tremor, and her wand hand began to tremble. Ivy was not usually one to break down in fear in the face of danger, but then again, she was not terribly fond of the assignment she was set on. Perhaps she would have felt much more in control if the creature she was set after was a Hippogriff, or perhaps a Boggart. Usually those don't have swarms waiting to attack at any moment. Suddenly the acromantula did something that startled her. It charged the squirrel quite fast, and before she could pull it away, it had already snatched it up in its mandibles, instantly triggering the transfiguration back into the log.
Timing was crucial now, and so she didn't have time to execute her half-plan that she was still planning. Jumping out from behind her hiding place, she slashed her wand through the air, her heart beating faster and faster as she felt her life was on the line, and it would be either hers or the beasts.
[green]"Avada Kedavra!"[/green]
There was a brilliant flash of emerald green, and waves and tendrils of light exploded quickly from the tip of her wand, zooming straight at the overgrown spider. There was a sickening hissing/electrical noise as the spell hit the spider full on. The acromantula collapsed to the ground in a heap of legs as the green glow pulsated over its body once, and then the light was gone.
She was frozen in place for a moment, and then she realized that she had successfully cast the Killing Curse. She had never cast the curse before, only pretended to, but this time she actually did and the acromantula lay before her a dead heap. She gulped once and then in a frantic manner, she darted toward the spider, jabbing it it with her wand, magically causing it to flip over onto its backside, its legs flailing everywhere in the process. Her hands shaking, she removed the vial from her waistband and held it in her right, while another slashing movement with her wand and a Sectumsempra spell sliced off the tip of one of its fangs. She knelt down over the spiders body, lowering the vial to the truncated fang, and allowed the deadly venom to seep out into the glass container. Her eyes kept wandering anxiously all around her, feeling as if the whole nest of acromantulas was going to drop in on her any moment, but luckily they didn't. Once she had collected enough venom, she corked the vial and replaced it within her waistband.
Standing up, she backed away slowly from the body of her prey, her eyes still darting here and there, and then finally she turned around and began moving quickly toward the castle. She didn't relish the thought of having one of the beasts finding one of their own dead, vandalized, and robbed, and then setting their sights on her. The debris of the forest floor should have made crackling noises as her sneakers tread over, but her charm was working flawlessly as she picked up the pace to get away from the scene of her crime quickly.

Zee's wand arm tensed as the abominably large spider considered the "squirrel," his entire body following suit when it began silently creeping toward the thing. When it suddenly rushed forward his reaction was torn between crying out and falling backwards or ripping the entire mass of metal from the earth and flinging it at the hideous thing. Fortunately he managed to hold both reflexes in check and simply drew back slightly. Half a heartbeat later he almost fell over again as the girl he'd followed leaped out and flung a killing curse of all things at the spider. Even more surprisingly, the curse worked perfectly. If he'd been impressed by the girl before, now he was frankly in awe of her. A curse powerful enough to bring down a beast of that size was no minor thing. The most powerful thing he'd ever killed with Avada Kedavra was a house elf.
The daring of this girl was further shown as she moved forward to the corpse. Keeping his eyes up at the level of the webbing in case any other spiders crept down, Zee moved forward as well. Remaining a dozen or so feet back, he couldn't quite see what she was doing as he threw little glances toward the girl, keeping his main focus on the nest. Was she taking a trophy? Was this all some game? Perhaps another student had dared her to retrieve an acromantula fang. Risking a longer look at her as he'd not spotted any of the dead creature's kin, Zee still couldn't tell what precisely she was up to. He was for the first time able to read the lettering along her bum however, and he had to stifle a chuckle. He took a tentative step forward but then froze as she finished whatever she was doing and rose, looking about. For just a moment she looked right at him, causing him to hold his breath. He got a clear view of her face in that instant, finally recognizing her. And then she was off, heading back toward the school. Zee immediately pursued.
Despite having been at the school for less than a year, Zee felt a small swell of pride. He was a Prefect of Slytherin House after all, so despite being a year above him, he still held authority over this girl. Shallow as it may have been to take some credit for a victory that he had nothing to do with, the feeling was there regardless. As they neared the edge of the forest, close enough to the bright sunlight that he wasn't really worried about shadows, Zee waved away his disillusionment and called out to her.
"You know, the prefect brochure mentions escorting unruly students to the headmistress' office and showing first years around, things like that. I don't recall reading anything about following older students into the forbidden forest to witness them dispatching acromantulas, and with unforgivable curses no less. I must say I feel I've gone above the call of duty on this one. It's Ivyria, yes?"
Not wishing to lose his life in such an inglorious manner, Zee was fully prepared to leap behind a tree should the girl's knee-jerk reaction be to launch a second killing curse his way. Much as he loved using the element of surprise to start a conversation, he understood it was a risky maneuver with such a potent individual.

She was quickly nearing the outskirts of the forest and the beginning of the school grounds. Her heart had slowed down a tick or two and she was beginning to feel a bit triumphant in her endeavor. True, she had not followed through with what her ideal approach would have been; subduing the creature, procuring its venom and then leaving it until the jinxes wore off. She amazed herself that she was able to furnish enough power to snuff out the life of a beast of its size. Her mind kept going back to the moment she felt the power explode from her wand, her emotions were running high and she felt threatened, like a wild animal almost. It was either her or the spider, and clearly she was not going down. She attributed the fact that the spell worked due to an adrenaline rush, and tried to shrug off the fact that she killed a sentient being.
It felt good. It made her feel like she was a little bit more in control of things. However, there was a nagging feeling deep within her that made her double check herself. Was she a killer? She had done some horrible things in the past to prove herself, always willing to get a job done, but never had she killed someone or something before.
She let out a quick breath of air, biting her lip as she was just about to breach the threshold of the forest when a boys voice caught her off guard. Ivy froze in her tracks with her eyes wide and her jaw clenched shut as she recognized the male voice as one of the Slytherin House Prefects, Zane Lucifer Bishop. She wasn't very acquainted with the boy, for he was a year younger than she, and she never wasted her time with boys when she could have men. However, Zane was a slight exception upon further scrutinizing his form. He certainly was set apart from the boys, and as Ivy slowly turned around to regard him, she bit her lip again.
Her expression shifted to that of coy innocence and she put her arms behind her back, gripping her wand laterally with both hands just above her hind quarters.
[green]"Well, hello Zane. Don't you know it's not polite to sneak up on a girl? Much-less spy on them? It's bad manners...and, it's Ivy."[/green] Her voice was well controlled and she showed not a hint of anxiety or fear. If it was his aim to take her to the Headmistress, that would not be a problem as far as she was concerned. She took a couple of steps toward the boy, arching a brow at him as she added gasped in faux-shock. [green]"Dispatching Acromantulas....Unforgivable curses...."[/green] She shook her head slowly as she spoke, her blond hair tousling as she moved. She made a tisk tisk noise with her tongue as she continued to close distance between them, her face turning to concern. She had stopped not but three feet from him, cocked her hip and tilted her head before she began again. [green]"Sounds to me like you were hallucinating. You know there are certain plant-life in the forest that can trigger hallucinations. I was merely going for a jog. Do I look like I'm dressed to kill?"[/green] She said quirking up the left corner of her mouth as she amused herself with her last question.

The girl's expression shifted as she turned around, but he couldn't be sure what it had been before. He'd caught a tiny nipping at her lower lip; perhaps it was anxiety over being caught? He had noticed how, even though he had yet to inflict any sort of punishment on any student, his prefect badge often seemed to bring forth a tiny bit of worry in other students. Still, such was usually reserved for the lower forms, certainly not an upperclassman. However she'd looked before, she now wore a look he was only too familiar with. Playfully manipulating others had been fantastic sport to Zee, and this Ivy seemed to be quite accomplished at it. Indeed, as she sashayed toward him, speaking softly and expertly sending her honey tresses bouncing, he found himself almost wanting to believe her. It was odd; Wysteria's hair had been very dark, and Keaira's was as well, so it seemed to him that he preferred brunettes. Something in that walk however made him reconsider. That thought he of course pushed away immediately. For the moment anyway.
Zee's own lips curled up unconsciously on the right side, perfectly mirroring Ivy's expression. She was good. Silently he applauded now not only her prowess with a wand and ingenuity, but her control over her body and voice.
Bravo.
The tension that had been held in his lower body was released as he adopted a more nonchalant stance, sliding his wand into the thin wristbands he still wore beneath his sweater on his left arm. He began by answering her final question, but then jumped back to her comment about his lack of manners.
"In so many ways Ivy. I suppose however that you are correct about me. Dear dear, you'll have to inform my mother that she's failed at raising a respectable, upstanding young man. I mean, peeping on girls while they're . . . jogging . . . in the Forbidden Forest and then neglecting one's duty to report the violation of school rules? To say nothing of my apparent use of hallucinogenic flora. What would she say? Likely turn me out of her home and leave me an orphan . . . and, it's Zee."
Zee had paused both before and after the word "jogging," looking to Ivy as if for confirmation that that was indeed the official story, but continuing on before she had time to give it. Now he took a step closer as well as he slipped his hands into his back pockets, subtly emphasizing the difference in their size. She was tall for a girl, like many he knew, and he was again glad for his own above-average height. Inhaling through his nose, he'd expected to get a whiff of perfume or hair product. Something. Instead there was nothing at all but the natural scent of the surrounding forest. There was not even a tiny trace of sweat, something that he'd have expected after her exertions. Both eyebrows rose in surprise for a moment before his eyes lit up with understanding.
So that's how she avoided the predators.
Smiling more to himself than to her in satisfaction, not that this knowledge really gave him any kind of edge, but merely because he didn't much like mysteries, Zee's eyes ran down and up, giving her a once over and nodding in appreciation.
"Clever. I suppose it would make sense to erase your scent while jogging. A lady can't very well walk back into the school smelling like a gym sock. Still, I have to wonder why you would choose this as your venue. Would not the close-growing trees create something of a constant obstacle, not to mention the illegality of the place? The Forbidden Forest is after all . . . what's the word? Ah yes. Forbidden. Plus there are numerous creatures in here. Dangerous creatures."
I'm looking at one.
Now it was his turn to look innocent. There was no accusatory tone in his voice as he questioned her, playing the part of the curious bystander rather than the interrogating officer.
((I wasn't sure which lip she bites, so I made a guess. If that was a swing and a miss, I'll edit.))

She let go of her wand with her right hand, allowing her left to bring it up to her ponytail and slide it through the band to allow her some free movement with her hands. She brought them down to her hips, and placed her nimble fingers across the bones, hip still cocked and her head still tilted innocently. Surveying his actions as he replied to her query regarding her apparel, she felt confident with the fact that she had successfully navigated herself out of any real trouble. His speech about telling his mother that she raised a poor example of an upstanding son amused her and her smile only broadened.
[green]"Zee...Of course it is..."[/green] She said regarding the condensed version of his name. [green]"I shall be very keen of mind to remember that I must tell her just that if I ever am introduced the pleasure of making her acquaintance. However, I shall add that her dutiful son most definitely knows how to go easy on a girl."[/green] She said with a coquettish smirk.
Watching as he slid his wand in his armband, her eyebrows rose and her eyes found his. [green]"Very comfortable of you to replace your weapon when you've stumbled upon an alleged criminal committing an alleged illicit act."[/green]
She was caught slightly off guard as he approached her this time, obviously trying to smell her hair or something, as most men usually do, and at this she merely smiled and rolled her eyes. The look he gave her as he scanned her form with his eyes sent blood rushing to her face, leaving her cheeks tinged with a very soft and subtle rosy hue. Her thoughts began to take a different route and suggested to her that this male was perhaps making subtle advances on her, but then she remembered he was with that Katrina girl, the other Slytherin Prefect. Her face soured a bit as her left brow arched and her eyes darted down to the ground. Her expression quickly melted as she remembered that if she wanted something, she would take it without questions, and what the hell did she care if she would come between he and his girl. Zane's assumption of what she had done to "erase" her scent was almost right on the money, however, she did not erase so much as she masked her scent with the natural aroma of the forest.
An amused look crossed her features and her eyes displayed enjoyment in this impromptu rendezvous with a fellow housemate, a prefect, no less. [green]"You're quite the clever duck, aren't you Zee. But I'm not a blackboard...I didn't erase anything."[/green] She giggled slightly as she relaxed her posture and continued, taking a step to the left and beginning to walk around him slowly. On the way around, her eyes stole a glance at his...assets, which seemed embellished by his hands shoved in his back pockets.
[green]"Do you do everything you're told? A good little boy? Ickle Zanie Bishop, Slytherin Prefect? These woods are hardly illegal. The faculty doesn't want every first and second year traipsing about in here because there are dangerous things in here...But I know how to handle danger."[/green] She arched a brow as she said the last part with a serious tone, and she was sure he knew what she was referring to. Clearing her throat and putting a smile on, she continued. [green]"As far as my choice in venue, I like to keep a good figure, and the terrain makes it somewhat of a challenge. A small one, mind you."[/green] She said, penultimately finishing her last statement with a girlish grin.
Taking a couple steps back, crossing her arms over her chest and cocking her hip yet again, she zeroed in on his face, her features turning to concern yet again. [green]"Well then, now that we've straightened out the question of what I was doing...may I ask what you were doing? Here in the oh so Forbidden Forest?"[/green]

A tiny shrug graced Zee's shoulders at Ivy's comment about his weapon.
"No more than yourself, an alleged criminal voluntarily disarming herself, though she's been caught only by a single helpless student and in a hidden place where she could doubtless get away with many more-."
Here he paused and cleared his throat lightly.
"Illicit acts."
He wasn't sure what she meant by her claim to have not erased anything. It didn't seem as if she were furthering her playful denial of what had occurred, but rather that she was honestly claiming to have done something other than what he'd suggested. Not knowing bothered him slightly, but it was a minor issue. He was more concerned with her slipping out of sight as she circled him. Playful as the situation was, the girl was clearly dangerous and, as he hardly knew her, unpredictable. Though he didn't expect he'd need it, he once again began gathering a small pool of metal in the ground beneath his feet. Outwardly he seemed undaunted, continuing to stand casually until she returned to his field of vision. His sideways grin returned, amused by her mockery. Zee'd been known to do things precisely because he'd been told to do the opposite. He didn't much enjoy the appearance of being anyone's servant.
Though a retort or two came to mind as she emphasized her own capabilities, he remained silent and let her finish. At her (somewhat feeble in his opinion) explanation as to why she'd decided to jog in the forest, his eyes again roamed down over her body and back up to her face. It was true that she was in phenomenal shape. He could tell that from her figure and from having witnessed her run through the woods. He'd barely been able to keep up, and that was due only to his longer legs. When she finally turned the question back on him, his right hand slipped free of his pocket and lightly rested on his chest as his eyes widened, expression and stance taking on a look of grossly exaggerated feigned innocence.
"Moi? Why, I'm Zane Lucifer Bishop, the good little boy who does everything he's told. I was merely doing my duty as a Prefect and a gentleman, ensuring that the sweet little girl I saw enter the big scary woods didn't get herself eaten. I certainly wasn't keeping an eye on you for some fiendishly devious purpose of my own which shall remain secret. Perish the thought. And I certainly didn't expect the discover such formidable power in such soft packaging."
Though he'd started with a tone dripping of irony, his final sentence rang true.

"Why Zee, you're making me blush..." She said softly as a soft red tinge graced her cheeks. She pursed her lips together in an attempt to stave of a smile, but ultimately it failed. The boy was humorous alright, and certainly debonair, but she wondered why he was delaying so long at the edge of the forest. No doubt, he had definitely witnessed her unplanned assassination of one of the Acromantula's deep in the forest, clearly she had broken several rules up to this point, including insubordination to a Prefect, so, what was the catch?
She shifted on spot, unfolding her arms from across her chest, letting her right arm dangle freely, and her left hand rested on her hip. Her eyes studied the one year younger Prefect. Did he want her? Something about the way he suggested "illicit acts" made her think that he either felt that she could do him harm, or something much nicer. The line about power in soft packaging made her chuckle, her eyes darting up to his.
You have no idea... She thought, arching a wanton brow at him.
But no, she could not distract herself from her task at hand. She had acquired the Acromantula venom, and that was the first task. There were many others ahead of her and this boy, this Zane Bishop, was proving to be a distraction in her time line. She needed to get back to the castle soon, to begin her next mission, and to deactivate the foul odor of moss and twigs and mud that she was exuding.
Her expression shifted again into one of lightheartedness, her face inviting, and she asked him "So, Zee, Slytherin Prefect. Would you so graciously escort a lady back to the dormitories where she might find the means to freshen up for her next class?"
