It was a wonderful morning. Everywhere white snow, no cold wind and it is a little bit warmer than yesterday. Michael, not already awaken, yawned and turns around in his bed. After gettin awake half an hour, he thought: "Today is dad´s birthday." Then he shouted:"Oh my god. I haen´t got a present". Without realising that he could awake his dorm mates, he rapidly thinked about a possible present. "Everything I´ve got is a box of Bertie Bott´s beans from Hogwarts Express. It could be interesting for him." He smiled while he imagined how his father would react if he´d eat a bean with earwax flavour. "Mjam, mjam, mjam, then...good hunger, dad." He fetched parchment, feather, ink and the beans and walked towards the owlery.
The owlery was colder than the common room. The warm fire was missed and the open windows let in a cold breeze of winter. Michael needed ten minutes to get from the ground floor to the owlery and after he entered the owlery he started to shake and he thought: Oh my god, why didn´t I picked up my jacket?". He turned a llittle bit more pale. His owl Timmy, a brown owl with black dots and a touch of white wings and body, flew towards his right shoulder and lay his head on Michael´s one. Michael started to pet Timmy and said: "Ready for a delivery?". Timmy gnawed on Michaels ear and Michael thought how to write his birthday letter to his father. But he was interrupted because the door opened....
