Keaira had not spoken since entering the room. She had simply watched and listened, being quieter than most people might think possible for the prefect. So much needed to be said, but she didn’t feel she had the eloquence to say it the right way. Her only reaction for most of the encounter so far was the attempt to calm Zee’s anger. That was, until the mention of Gat.
She thought of the boy, remembering what he had done to D’rorah made her fists clench. Torturing her, by the side of the Mage, and then when we managed to get her back here, he attempted to kidnap her again, from the safety of the hospital wing. That night he had even done so much as to send an unforgivable curse at Keaira, and nearly hit her. All she had done was attempt to disarm him, and his elf had taken the shot. From that encounter on Keaira had loathed Gat. However, she felt that it was the much more recent action of his that gave her such a strong feeling that she was about to convey. Gat had attacked not only Alessandro, and nearly herself, but also Dylan in a classroom. How could they ever sway him to their cause?
“I don’t think Gat can join us. Need I note which ones of us he has already openly attacked? D’rorah, he helped torture you in the shadow realm, he nearly crucio’ed me after I tried to disarm him the night he tried to kidnap you and bring you back to the Mage. In Defense class he fired a sectumsemper curse at Alessandro, which by the way nearly hit me at face level. Also if Dien were still here he would remind you that this same boy had also attacked him and his wife while they were in Hogsmeade."
Keaira’s voice, which had started out quiet, had grown angrier, and louder with each thing she had mentioned all cumulating in the mention of Dien. She felt like she might have been yelling, but didn’t feel the need to stop. Gat had done so much to hurt them. She could not see him ever fighting next to her. It wouldn’t matter how much they were convinced that he was on their side, the first opportunity she had to kill him, she would.
Such thoughts were highly uncharacteristic of Keaira, but with the fresh wounds of the Mage, both on her arm, and in her mind and heart, she could not stop her desire to seek revenge. Or was it her desire? She felt it, the desire to hurt the Mage for what she had done, to pay her back for all the suffering she had caused, all the pain, and hurt, and death. Keaira wondered momentarily if this was her own feelings, or if it was simply that of Zane’s being projected in to her own mind. After a moment of considering this however, she decided she didn’t care. She wanted to feel it.
As the topic changed, Keaira felt that edge of hatred for Gat be pushed away, replaced by her own wonder at Dylan’s ability to put such things behind him. She could feel Zane’s own detest at himself for what he had done. He felt he was a monster, a being unworthy of such an open, forgiveness. It made Keaira think of how much of a better person Dylan must be that herself. After all, she would kill Gat, if ever she had the opportunity; no begging, pleading, or remorse would change that. At least, that’s how she felt now. She silently wondered, for the first time, if Gat had been in the room when Dien and his wife were tortured, and killed. Had he perpetrated some of the pain that was inflicted upon those bodies?
Her reaction to Gat being joined to the team had pushed away the other thoughts that she had wanted to express. Alessandro, she needed to speak to him, to find out if he was alive and well. How long had it been? She remembered the day he had left, there were no goodbye’s, I’ll see you over break, simply a passing notion of I’m leaving. It had been too late by the time Keaira had felt the feeling, by then he had already been at the gates, and she simply had a fleeting glance as he was pulled away in to the air. Would she ever see him again? Her heart ached for the boy, knowing that he wasn’t safe only made her wish stronger that she could see him, touch his face, run her hands through his hair, anything.
Her thoughts of Alessandro were however, interrupted as she heard Caitlin address her. It took her a moment to blink away her thoughts before she could answer the girl. “Yes, that is part of what you can do as a shadow warrior, you will have the ability to destroy the shadow creatures with the chanting that you will learn. A large part of what I told you that night was rubbish. The chanting will not permanently drain you of any sort of vitality; it will however make you weaker, for the next few hours. And although my grandfather worked in the ministry of magic at one point in his life, he was most definitely not working on that. The lie was a necessary evil, sorry.”
Keaira was about to continue on explaining why it was necessary to remove your emotions, and not allow them to distract you, when she heard that they would have to travel together if they left the castle. She wondered how Zane would feel about visiting Ireland, and meeting her parents for the break. She thought it might be a little weird, however, it would allow them to be safe, and to form a stronger bond. Her parents were actually quite understanding about her needing to go to China after all, Surely they would understand that she needed to have a friend over during break. Also there wouldn’t be a problem of where he would stay. They had plenty of rooms. How would be feel about it though? And what about any plans she might have to meet up with Alessandro during the vacation? That might breed some interesting situations. How would Alessandro feel if he was aware that she was thinking of spending the winter break with another boy? She let herself be consumed by thought once more as the meeting progressed.

A monster, yet you are not so different from the rest of them. They forgive yes, because they know you are needed. Their vengeance is not worth the risk to all the realm were they to pursue it. As you have done, they do what is in their own best interest. So do all people behave. All people . . .
Such were Zee's thoughts while D'rorah spoke, though apart from a slight nod of his head, Zee gave no indication that he'd heard her. It seemed he would not be executed, so his sole purpose now was to get revenge for what had been taken from him. Yet despite his great hatred, which he did feel spike a little as Keaira raved about Gat, Zee still found it difficult to take any initiative. If they weren't all killed, if they did manage to save the realm, if the Shadow Mage did die screaming at his hand, what then?
This line of thinking leading Zee to an inevitable feeling of empty hopelessness, he turned his thoughts away from the far future and instead focused upon his desire to avenge Wysteria. He didn't think about winter break, and any traveling he would be forced to accompany Keaira on. He didn't think about his own parents and what he would do about their imperiused status. He didn't consider D'rorah and Dylan or Keaira and Alessandro. Whatever hardships they were enduring, they were still alive. They still had hope. All Zee thought about was the steps he would need to take, the training he would need to undergo. He would have his revenge.
Susan's whispered plea for a reason was far too subtle to be picked up by Zee's enrapt senses. Even Keaira's feelings resonating within him went unnoticed. His rage fed on hers even as hers did the same. It would perhaps be an endless cycle, each growing more hateful until they achieved satisfaction. That notion did little to dissuade Zee and he embraced the feeling, sitting there mostly oblivious and dreaming of the pain he would inflict, this time to those who deserved it.

She focused all of her energy on containing her emotions. It was difficult, for the alternative surely wasn't worth it. To show weakness was one of the worst things to do, in her eyes. Yet here Susan was, on the brim of tears, using all she had to hold them in. Her mind stretched, anything to think of something else. She thought of Daffodils and willows, the lake and the sun, the green grass and the crickets within it. It hardly sufficed.
She felt a change from the other side of the room, but she didn't look up. Looking up took energy. Energy to move, energy to see, energy to process what was being seen. Only when she felt the presence next to her did she waste the energy to wipe away the tears clogging her vision. Though a few droplets still clung to her lashes, she was able to see that it was Dylan before her. With out seeing, she could have felt it was Dylan anyway. However, they say seeing is believing, and so Susan saw.
She sniffled softer than she physically needed to and opened her mouth as if to say something. Maybe an excuse for her current state? Or a reason to be left alone? Or would have been a cry for help? It didn't matter though, before she could make up her mind, Dylan had already put forth the motions of a hug. Not knowing what else to do, Susan obliged.
On some level she knew that the majority of the room would be watching her, and on a deeper level, she found she didn't care. Everyone in the room were her friends, or most of them anyway. Allies was a better word, she decided as she embraced Dylan a little tighter than usual, seeking comfort.
"I just don't understand," she told herself more than anyone. Naivety was a trait that Susan loathed, yet she found it plastered all over herself. The tears that previously threatened loosened their wrath over her as she found composure. Her breathing leveled and she found she did not need to hold so hard to feel Dylan's energy. Upon releasing, Susan could still feel the energy between them lingering.
"Thanks," Susan offered though it didn't nearly suffice for all he'd given her. She took her seat again, avoiding the eyes of others, if they were even looking.

D'rorah watched the proceedings as they continued on, pleased to see that some of the others were beginning to step up to the challenge of sharing the information they had with others. Though, of course, it was all rather overwhelming... she had to continuously remind herself that some of the others were being presented in only a few minutes with information she had studied for quite some time now.
"Dylan, Susan," she called them both forward. "Mallan, Caitlin," she broke with her typical tradition of staunch formality, using first names rather than last names. At the moment, she felt a lighter touch was needed. She was slowly learning to accomodate the emotional needs of others... simply remaining distant from them no longer seemed to be an option. It was a small step, but it was a step, nonetheless.
She looked first from Caitlin to Susan. "Even though you have not experienced the trauma typical of a Shadow Warrior, you will find that your emotions may begin to separate as you find it necessary to fight Shadows. However, it is also possible that your emotions will not separate... there is a small likelihood that, unlike those of us who have previously been attacked by the Mage, you will have far less difficulty retaining a hold on your emotions. I have no way to be certain, as there is not precedent for this sort of situation that I am able to find record of. As a safeguard against running into the dangerous situation of the both of you requiring an emotional anchor and not having one, I would like to supervise your joining now. Sit facing one another and then we will be able to begin."
She hoped Mallan would take a lead with Cait, having already done the joining once before with D'rorah herself. She waited to make sure there were no further questions before continuing.

Dee's invitation had been brief. After the incident at Hogsmeade, she had expected some course of action. It seemed a lifetime of difference since her declaration in the streets of Hogsmeade. And it had certainly brought light to many of the happenings that she had previously been too far removed to see; the disturbance in her classroom, for one. Now that she had taken the time to attune herself, she had a better grasp of the task at hand.
She did not know who or what to expect, outside of D'rorah, though the Room of Requirement always provided many surprises. Kailee did the required passes before the door before entering the room where discussion was already running rampant. A collection of students, many of which she knew from her class were assembled as well as a couple who weren't and much other surprise, Zane Bishop, with whom she'd only had one interaction, but it had been most interesting.
"Well, this is a surprise."

Feeling his own movements made easier by her reciprocating ones, he found himself quite able to pull her into a hug. The last time this particular set of Elemental Master and Shadow Warrior embraced, it had certainly been quite similar. The circumstances, the force felt from his friend… Returning the intensity, finding that was all he could do, his eyebrows knitted together as she spoke once more. Sympathy and even a slight pain in his eyes, he drew back as he felt her moving to do the same. Somehow offering a small, half-hearted whisper of a smile to Susan, he turned back to D’rorah.
His eyes flicking from the floor up to her features, he nodded to her briefly before closing his eyes to stop the dizzying nausea that had come over him at the action. Clenching his jaw, his eyes flicking to the cause of such pain, he quickly averted them. Shoving thoughts of revenge aside, he returned his attention to Susan. Offering her a hand up as the gentleman he was, he listened to the remainder of D’rorah’s words, turning them over in his mind and reasoning with them. Of course, nothing he had encountered in his research had leant any sway to anything like the situation they were presently in, either.
He didn’t like the idea of either of these girls beginning to fight unprotected; emotionally estranged from their Elemental correspondents and vulnerable to being drawn into shadow. His expression one of seriousness and concentration, he obliged to Dee’s request and moved to sit on the floor, swiveling himself around before doing so just so that he could face Susan. Expecting Dee would issue further instructions when she saw fit, he made no move to prompt or rush her and simply sat upon the cold floor, waiting.
His head rising immediately, his eyes wide with surprise, he found the door to the room being opened. Seeing Kailee, his eyes narrowed once more in both surprise and suspicion. Having been told, not too long ago, that Faye had been neutralised by the enemy, this was either a miracle in finding that they needn’t search for her replacement, or an enemy in disguise. It would be a while before he forgot how Mordred’s body had been used just recently in Hogsmeade. Ready to retaliate to any unfriendly movement, he wondered both why she had taken so long to get here and who had called her, though the latter mattered far less.

Unsure of what actions to take, Mallan remained in his chair watching everyone. After he had spoken Dylan rose and walked towards Zee extending a forgiving hand. Mallan was surprised at the speed at which Dylan took what he said to heart. Continuing to watch, Mallan was surprised again at Zee’s refusal. He did not think most people would refuse the chance to let forgiveness wipe them of their acts. He remained seated as Zee explained his actions. Still, Mallan could not think of a response to Zee’s words telling him that he should not trust him. Mallan was impressed with Zee’s courage to face everyone here but he still could not piece together the why.
His curiosity was satiated as D’rorah stood up to talk. So, it seemed that Zee was not originally the same person. So, he had performed evil acts that indirectly caused a few of the people here pain. If he had known of the incidents beforehand Mallan would have felt a little hatred towards Zee but as it was he could only feel pity for Zee. It seemed that whatever Zee was dealing with, he was dealing with it alone. Mallan decided he would try and talk to Zee again after the meeting.
Mallan’s focus was snatched when D’rorah turned to him and explained the anchoring Caitlin would be more taxing than it was with D’rorah. That thought alone was enough to make Mallan’s stomach churn. He remembered joining with D’rorah and it was not pleasant for him. D’rorah had also reminded everyone of the danger and asked that no one travel alone. Mallan had not actually wanted to return home for the break. He was planning on staying at Hogwarts. Here he was able to use his abilities and was free of the fear of doing so while he was here. Though he would have no issues if D’rorah or Caitlin would want him to accompany them wherever they went.
He didn’t have the answers that Caitlin was looking for and so was hoping that someone else would be able to answer them. In the meantime he focused in on his memories that he had gained from D’rorah and tried to learn as much about the situation as he could. Enduring the harsh memories, he sorted through trying to piece together everything that would be relevant. As he did, he found Caitlin’s answer but before he responded Keaira had answered the questions.
He listened to Keaira as she gave her reasons why Gat, the Elemental Master of Water, would not be welcomed and would not convert to their cause. She gave answers that caused Mallan to lose his original desire to capture and persuade Gat. After her words Mallan agreed that Gat would most likely have to die. It annoyed Mallan that he agreed so quickly and so forced himself to step back. He would let Gat have the chance as everyone deserved but he would not get in the way of any of his new friends here. He would not cause strife for hope. When she mentioned chanting Mallan, once again, delved into his memories he gained from D’rorah in search of answers.
He continued to watch everyone as their tears fell and some gave strength and comfort to others. It was as if something was sweeping through the room forcing emotions to cascade and fight between them all. It was an odd site. Most of them knew each other and had previous connections. Mallan barely knew any of them and so most of their emotions went by Mallan without much affect. He was sad that he could not feel their pain and share in their sorrow. In a way he felt alone in the room.
Mallan was shocked when D’rorah informed them that they were to join. He had not expected that. Actually he had not thought about what he would have expected. The idea made his stomach become even more upset and he knew after joining with Caitlin he was going to vomit. Looking around Mallan thought about where the most advantageous place would be if he were to vomit. Then it occurred to him; the Elemental Room of Water would probably have a stream and it also would ease Caitlin’s joining.
Perhaps Caitlin and I shall go to the Elemental Room of Water with a guardian and Dylan and Susan shall go to the Elemental Room of Earth with their own guardian? Perhaps there, the joining will be stronger and happen with more ease for the girls. Maybe, would it even be possible to leave the doors open? (Noticing that Dylan had already taken a seat Mallan added an apology) Sorry Dylan, I just thought it might help.
Mallan held himself hoping that worry did not show on his face. He needed to be strong and now twice as strong since he was going to be the anchor for two Shadow Warriors. Waiting for a response he steeled himself. As he did, he noticed Professor Faye walk in. “She must be the Shadow Warrior of Fire,” Mallan pondered.

Caity was shocked to hear what Keaira had to say on the subject of Gat. He’d tortured D’rorah? And crucioed Keaira, and attacked Alessandro and the two Professor Serlaens? When she had met him he had seemed like a normal boy, albeit a little ambitious and in danger of his life. Perhaps she shouldn’t tell any of them about that incident. They would probably say she should have just let him be murdered by that strange man. She didn’t want to be seen as unable to do what she had to do by these people, but she was also dead against killing anyone (if you’ll excuse the pun), or even letting them die when you could do something to save them. Especially when said person was a teenager with his whole life ahead of him, and she saw him frequently in classes. Even more determined to speak with him the next time she came across him and make him see sense, she turned her attention to what else was going on around her.
Caitlin’s eyes were drawn to Susan, who was seemingly overwhelmed with everything that had been revealed within the last few minutes. She didn’t know what to do – should she go to comfort her friend, or did Susan not want any attention drawn to herself while she was in this state? Caity hated being so indecisive, but it was a big part of her personality. She’d think something over extremely quickly, choose whatever seemed best, go to start doing that and then change her mind when another valid thought came to her. This cycle could go on several times before she actually stuck to her choice. And now she was in that situation again. Before she could even begin to make a decision, Dylan had left D’rorah and Zee and was comforting Susan. She was glad the choice had been taken out of her hands but slightly ashamed that someone else had ended up doing what she would probably have done in the end, had she been any quicker at deciding.
Again the focus of her attention changes when Keaira answered her question. She nodded, still not quite understanding what it was she could do as a Shadow Warrior but content for now in what she did know. Despite all the answers she had been given in the last five or ten minutes, Caity still had plenty of questions she had not yet asked, but thought that she should probably leave them for another day or any more information would just go in one ear and out the other.
Once more her attention shifted, this time to D’rorah. She wanted them all – meaning herself, Mallan, Susan and Dylan – to join now, but that was one of the things that she didn’t understand. How did this joining work? She was glad that D’rorah was there – the Ravenclaw prefect gave out an aura of confidence that reassured you that she knew what she was doing – but did somewhat wish that the others didn’t have to watch. What if something went wrong? What if she wasn’t the Shadow Warrior of water, and they’d made a mistake somewhere along the line? Once this joining was complete, she had a horrible feeling that there would be no coming back. Before, she had been a willing participant in helping Susan, but now it appeared as if she had no choice in the matter. Dylan sat in front of Susan as he was told to. Before she herself could make any move towards Mallan, though, he spoke up.
”Perhaps Caitlin and I shall go to the Elemental Room of Water with a guardian and Dylan and Susan shall go to the Elemental Room of Earth with their own guardian? Perhaps there, the joining will be stronger and happen with more ease for the girls. Maybe, would it even be possible to leave the doors open? Sorry Dylan, I just thought it might help.”
Either he also didn’t want to join in front of everyone else, or he had some other reason, but Caity was relieved all the same. And what was this about an Elemental Room? Intrigued, she turned to D’rorah to see what their leader would make of this suggestion. Her mind went back to her first couple of months at Hogwarts, when for some reason she had frequently been soaked with water. That was strangely ironic or more than a coincidence. Perhaps she would be able to prevent any more similar events from happening in the future. If this Elemental Room was as she suspected it would be, and filled with water, she was going to need some way to stop herself tripping, which was what would inevitably happen.
She thought back to how one of the first spells Vijay had taught her during her magic lessons in India had been to produce water; clean water. She had lost count of the amount of times she had used that particular charm during the five years she had spent living in Hyderabad. Supposedly India was much better than it used to be, but the poverty had shocked her at first. Producing purified water, despite how simple it was, had always stayed as her favourite spell.
She was broken out of her reverie when she heard a noise to her left. Her head swivelled quickly as the door opened and another figure entered. She relaxed upon seeing Professor Faye and thought back to what D’rorah had said about her. Wasn’t she supposed to be missing?

"Very well," replied D'rorah with a nod. I believe that is an excellent idea. She looked to Dylan and Susan. "And perhaps the two of you would prefer the Elemental Earth room?" she suggested. She wasn't worried about leaving Cait and Mallan alone; she knew that if there were any problems, she would feel them through the mental connection they shared and be able to come help. Sensing his apprehension, she sent the thought toward him: Do not worry. This joining should be far less taxing if you do not have to endure the sort of traumatic experience you were forced to with me.
((ooc: sorry it's short, but I wanted to answer the question and get you guys rolling along again and I have a millions things to do this morning because I fell asleep in my reading for class last night! Eep!))

Susan's heart fluttered as D'rorah indicated that both herself and Caitlin would begin the joining with their Elemental Masters. It warmed Susan to hear her first name spoken by D'rorah. Susan couldn't help but smile a little at the sound. Of course, she knew D'rorah knew her first name, it was the fact that she'd never said it aloud before that got her. Before then, it had always been "Miss Matthews." At first, Susan had pondered calling D'rorah Miss Philosophy in return. It seemed she was just formal like so. Susan felt honored to have D'rorah call her by her first name and she felt the fluttering in her middle subside.
She listened obediently to D'rorah's instructions on how they would begin their joining.
". . . I would like to supervise your joining now. Sit facing one another and then we will be able to begin."
Susan made to stand up, but Dylan was a step ahead of her. With much gallantry he held out his hand for her to take before sitting down himself. Susan gladly took the hand as stood in front of the spot where she would sit, facing Dylan. She was momentarily distracted by the opening of the door. It was Professor Faye that entered the room, most definitely late. Susan pondered the reasons for why she might be late, and couldn't come up with anything not suspicious. Nobody questioned her presence though, so Susan kept her accusations to herself.
Her attention was drawn next to Mallan as he made the suggestion that they should join in their own element room. D'rorah seemed to agree with this. Susan reached her hand out to Dylan this time, in order to help him up before heading in the direction of the Earth Room.

Just having sat down, he grimaced slightly before allowing Susan to aid him in standing on his own two feet once more. Of course, joining in their Elemental rooms made sense; Dylan was just slightly aggravated that he hadn’t thought of it himself. He wasn’t a jealous person by any means; he was simply used to being the ‘intelligent one’. Call him spoilt, and you’d probably be right.
Righting himself without much ado, he cast his gaze back to Kailee. After what he had been through over the past few weeks, he believed that he had as much right as anyone else to be suspicious. Not normally one to seek confrontation, he pushed that aside for the moment in the name of a greater cause. “What took you so long to get here, Professor Faye?” he questioned quietly, his eyes assessing her movements. He hadn’t completely lost sense of his manners, however, so he still referred to her by her correct title. His eyes not swaying from observing her, he became aware that his hand was still in Susan’s and so promptly released his grip.
Raising an eyebrow briefly, he began to make his way from the room, intended on the door marked with the earthen symbol. The door opening easily for him, he strode inside, taking a deep breath and drawing a soft smile. It had been too long since he’d been back here, actually; since he’d spent any quality time there, anyway. He had come a few times recently to begin his training once more, but not really spent time in here just for the sake of it. Moving further inside, he wondered whether Dee would visit their own or the… In fact, which room would Caitlin and Mallan join in, considering they were of different elements?

At seeing others take notice of Professor Faye a little uneasiness left Mallan. He was sure she had to of been the Shadow Warrior of Fire otherwise he imagined there would be more frantic commotion in the room but the idea that she was not still crossed his mind. He didn’t know her that well and decided to leave the matters up to everyone else. All the answers he had found that were not given by others in the room were through the memories of D’rorah.
Hearing D’rorah’s okay to using the elemental rooms Mallan walked over to the Elemental Room of Water and motioned Caitlin over with a small wave. If one was keen enough you could see apprehension on Mallan’s face while he waited. There was a reason for asking the question and choosing the Elemental Room of Water; Mallan was afraid that he was going to vomit after this joining and he did not want everyone to see. The first joining felt like this stomach was being pulled in every direction and as far as he knew it was going to happen all over again. Thing was, he still had not fully recovered from his joining with D’rorah. That wasn’t the only reason though. Mallan assumed it would be easier for Caitlin to be in a room of her own element. Perceiving himself as a gentleman, Mallan thought that would be the right choice.
After waiting for Caitlin to get closer Mallan turned around to face the door and open it but found it more resistant than he thought it would have been for a door of that size. Instead of trying to open it and risk looking a fool Mallan acted as if an epiphany came upon him and waited for Caitlin. He figured the door would be easier to open when someone of the same element forced it to. As she came closer, Mallan stepped a little to the side to let her in first.

Hearing D'rorah's okay to Mallan's idea, Caitlin stood and followed him to the door he was now standing next to - it appeared to have a symbol engraved onto it like the symbol that she had noticed on the back of her chair. In fact, now she looked more closely it did have a semblance of representing water. She just hadn't been looking for that semblance before.
Waiting patiently for Mallan to open the door, since he was in front, she was slightly confused when he stepped aside to let her open it. Couldn't he open it? Was it just the Elemental Master and Shadow Warrior of each element who could open it? Testing her theory, she reached out to the door handle. It turned easily and swung open.
Stepping inside, she was amazed by what she saw - a stream was running through the middle of the room. How could a stream be running through a room on the 5th floor of Hogwarts? She stepped out of the doorway so Mallan could enter and continued to stare about.

Glancing around the room, Susan saw everyone who had done this before her. The butterflies lightly returned as her eyes lightly returned to Dylan. He was already in the Earth Room. With a deep breath, Susan began to follow. She stood outside of the door to her element for a moment.
She could feel the energy pulsing within. A cool, calming breeze rustled her hair gently. Susan gave a sideways look to Caitlin, who was standing outside her element door. The butterflies took a different path as they began to fuel excitement rather than anxiety. Trying to catch Caitlin's eye, Susan bit her lip and smiled, in what she thought must look reassuring.
Lightly closing her eyes, Susan stepped over the threshold of her room. Warm and energy surged through her being, the Earth around her was suddenly overwhelming. Susan happily accepted this feeling. As she had done every time before, Susan removed her shoes and placed them by the door. She made her way the middle of the room, and sat down, cross-legged.
The earth was warm and the air was cool. Susan leaned back onto her palms as she enjoyed the peace in the Earth room once more. It had been a while since she'd last made time to visit.

He was glad the door opened when Caitlin tried. If it had not, and was as resistant as when he tried, it would just prove him to be rude and that was something Mallan did not like to be. He always thought himself chivalrous and it actually brought a sense of pride to be so. He still felt rather sheepish though, since he was unable to open the door after all, and so gave Caitlin a helpless shrug as she was walking by him and on into the room. He couldn’t help but take a look at her while she walked by. Never could he resist the allure of a beautiful girl; it often caused him problems that he later had to get himself out of.
Following her in, Mallan closed the door almost completely shut. Since he now knew that the elemental doors could only be opened by someone of the same element he wanted to leave it partially open in case anything happened. As he turned around to continue following Caitlin he could not help but notice the mist that floated about. The whole roomed seemed a blissful paradise; the waterfall in the far distance and soft babbling of the stream added with the mist all created a pleasant peace. The room did not offer the same pleasant feeling that the elemental room of wind did. He recalled the sensation; it was magnificent. There, in the elemental room of wind, he not only felt the visual pleasantries but he could also feel the peace and euphoria inside of him. Thinking about it made him want to go back there instead but he knew this was better; for the both of them right now.
Taking the lead, Mallan headed to a place near the stream. He was sure that Caitlin would not mind playing with the water and he could most definitely use the flowing water as a place to empty his stomach. Even thinking about it caused it to churn. Already kind of dizzy, Mallan sat himself down and took a few moments to feel the security of the unmoving ground beneath him while he waited for Caitlin to sit down. Mallan looked at Caitlin and extended his hand palm upwards to Caitlin a few moments after Caitlin sat down as to give her a moment or two to settle herself as well.
Take your time. When you are ready, take my hands.
He wasn’t sure how it all worked and hoped that all it took was mere touch. At least that is what it seemed to take with D’rorah. A little apprehension snuck in with the thought that he would look like an idiot if nothing happened when she held his hands. Then the thought of her holding his hands made him blush a little. He was getting ahead of himself! “Why am I acting so boyish?” Mallan queried himself. He tried to relax and let the color leave his cheeks a little but he was not having much success. Mallan thought about looking away but found that he could not and a smile slowly crept across his face.
