Family Interactions: Since she was a child, Amelie had been very close to her father. As close as can be. She never really spoke to her mother, but she was fine with it. When her sister was born, Amelie barely if ever saw Aimee, for Aimee was often at day cares or being babysat at another house. This too, Amelie didn't mind. When she was four-ish, her father left on a book tour, though. Since then, Amelie hasn't really talked to her papa, and they aren't as close.
In past years, Amelie and Aimee weren't great friends. When Amelie entered her first year, though, she sent letters to her sister almost every day. Over the years the sister's have grown closer, and are almost inseparable between classes. If Amelie was to say who her first best friend was, it would be Aimee, and Aimee Amelie.

Eyes: brown, darker than her hair, slightly small
Skin Colour: pale olive
Clothing style: earth tones
Accessories: nothing, earrings on special occasions but otherwise none.

Amelie has milky brown hair that sits on her shoulders, spilling off to reach just below her neck, about to her armpits. Parted just to the left, her hair falls in neat layers, with her bangs falling diagonally to her right side. Amelie's hair is naturally straight, with the smallest hint at a wave being visible. Her hair frames her oval shaped face nicely, and compliments her soft brown eyes. Thin brown eye brows can be often seen turned upward to match a shy smile formed on her pink lips. Her skin has a slight olive tone to it, and usually appears pale. The tone matches well with her earthy toned clothes and brown hair.
Speaking of earthy toned clothes - that's usually what Amelie wears. More often than not, she can be seen in green, brown, orange, etc. Earth tones. Though those are the colors she prefers, its not odd to see her in other colors, such as black, purple, and sometimes white. Amelie doesn't really follow fashion, instead she just wears what she likes. Hoodies and scarfs are favorites of Amelie's, but that's not always what she wears. Along with that, Amelie seldom wears short sleeved shirts and always claims that she's cold, which is why she always wears warmer clothes.
As for height and weight, Amelie is petite at a height of 5'2, and is quite slim at 102 lbs. Amelie is a bit insecure about herself. Being very self-conscious, she eats little and has before died her hair - is back to its original color now, but still. Being shorter than the usual height for her age, Amelie has never been sure what she's supposed to weigh, but always believes it to be less than what she currently weighs. She often times gets sick, which is why she is pale, and her parents worry about her.
Personality:
Though she wouldn't consider herself an art nerd, Amélie is quite artistic. Her art ranges from writing novels to acting them out. not only does she write and act, though, she is also quite the artist. Amélie prefers sketches and paintings over coloring, and cannot stand to draw on white paper. It has to be lined. Two or more notebooks under her arm, Amélie always has the necessary utensils for writing and drawing in any situation. Mélie has always preferred silence over noise, but she fears being left alone and prefers to be with people. Amélie quite shy, but she hates being alone and tries to be more outgoing. She tries to meet the expectations of people rather than being true to herself, and only wishes to make people happy. Amelie has always wanted to fit in, but never really has.
Having been raised in France for all of her life, Mélie is quite fluent in french. Amelie is not quite fluent in English, but still knows quite a bit, though she speaks with an accent. She often times has to translate for her parents, as they haven't the time to learn the English language. She doesn't mind doing this, it makes her parents happy to have a daughter willing to do so much for them. People are usually quite curious about her speaking french, and ask her to say something. Along with translating for her parents, Amelie does not mind this. It entertains people, and she just wants everyone to be happy. Amelie is very studious. She reads often, and is above her level in reading and school. She has never skipped a grade, fearing that people will think she's odd and not like her.
Amelie is lonely. She wishes to have a boyfriend of her own. Seeing people walk through the halls holding hands, pecking each other on the cheeks, its unbearable. Amelie wants someone who she can hug and kiss and hold hands with. Mostly hug though, Amelie's never cared much for kissing. Holding hands is nice too, though.
That's another thing about Amelie - she's very emotional. She tends to bottle it up, and she cries. Cries and cries and cries, all to herself. Amelie would like a boyfriend that will just hold her. Hold her and let her cry. That's just how much of an oddball Amelie is. She wants someone who will stay with her for a long time. Flings are not her thing. Amelie likes commitment. The only thing is, no one really wants to date a french oddball.
Amelie doesn't often get things. Jokes, remarks, Amelie just doesn't get it. She claims she hasn't been in Britain long enough to process it's humor. Often times when someone says a joke, she says, with a puzzled look, "I do not get eet." ( the 'eet' coming from her french accent )
History:
April thirteenth, Paris, France, Adéle Jacques sat in the hospital, scribbling away in a notebook. Her husband was holding her new born baby. Nineteen-year-old Adéle had always been too busy for her daughter Amélie. Instead of being with Amélie, she scribbled away in that notebook. Alexander Jacques nourished the child, poured love all over her, and was the best Papa Mélie could ask for. By the time Amélie was three years of age, Alexander was just about her best friend. They had a wonderful relationship, but Amélie was curious about her mother. Every time she asked about Adéle, her papa would reply; "She's busy."
Amélie got used to this, and stopped asking after a while. She was fine without Mama to be there for her. When Amelie was about two, she was granted a smaller sister. Aimee. Aimee was usually taken to day cares, whereas Amelie was left home so she could be with her papa. Amelie didn't see Aimee much at all. When she was four, Papa gave her Gerard, Amelie's teddy bear. He said it was a going away present, so that after Papa was gone, she would still have Gerard to keep her company. This was not just an out of the blue present, though. There was reason to it. After a few days, after Amelie had grown to love Gerard dearly and take him everywhere, Papa told Amelie something. Something that would change her life, forever.
Alexander Jacques, on July twenty fourth, told Amelie that he was going away, and wouldn't be home for a long time. You see, both of Amelie's parents were authors. Mama was always busy because she was working on a big novel that was to be published. Alexander always worked on his own novel at night, after Amelie had gone to bed. A few weeks prior, Alexander had finished his novel, and it was to be published. He was going on a book tour, and wouldn't be back for a month or maybe two. His book was said to take off immediately, and he would need to go to many signings and events to promote the book. Well, Alexander went on the book tour alone, without Mama or Amelie. No matter how much he would of liked to take his family with, he couldn't. This is why Amelie had Gerard; Papa was leaving.
For years Mélie lived isolated, with only herself to play with. She became intrigued with her mother's work, and started to write herself. By the time she was to enter school, she had written plenty stories, and had already learned and understood the concepts she wasn't to learn until her second year at school. When she did enter school, she entered a year late. Her father was on another book tour, and her mother forgot to register Mélie, so she ended up being six as opposed to five in kindergarten. Years went by, and Mélie was always the top of her class. One day, at school, a teacher had asked Amelie why her parents hadn't come to the parent-teacher conferences. Amelie was feeling a little moody that day. She locked herself in a closet. A closet without a lock.
When Amelie came home, it just so happened that her great grandmother Yvonne was visiting. When Amelie's parents - and Yvonne - heard about what at happened at school, Yvonne clapped. This confused Adele and Alexander. Yvonne managed to explain everything. Years went by and Amelie performed more accidental magic. It no longer surprised the family when they heard of her doing things unexplainable.
When Amelie was ten, her father got a phone call. His publishing company was moving to Britain. For convenience, Amelie's family was to move as well. Upon moving to Britain, Amelie received a letter from Hogwarts. She was invited to the English wizarding school. The family had prior believed she and Aimee would go to Beaux Batons, but the sudden move changed that.
Amelie was alone for her first year at Hogwarts. It was terrible. She still had a thick french accent, and was often teased about it. People would ask when she was going back to Beax Batons and that the triwizard cup was long done, and she must of missed the ride back to France. Yes, this upset Amelie, but she never let anyone know. Well, except Aimee. Amelie wrote Aimee quite regularly, and Aimee wrote back, too.
When Aimee entered Hogwarts, her and Amelie grew much closer than they had before. Amelie, still having an accent over four years, and Aimee, not even completely fluent in English, did not make friends easily. They had each other, though. They, though they had barely said a word to each other in France, became best friends. They were as close to inseparable as a first year and third year could be. They still are, in Amelie's fourth year, as well.

(note-if you do not like the fact that amelie just moved from france, I can rewrite the whole history and make it so she lived in france for like three years and moved here and has been at hogwarts for all four years-)
