Kearia had resigned herself to waiting for every one else to partner up, and being left with either who else was left or with the professor himself. Unfortunately it had seemed that it was not meant to occur that way. As she was sitting there, doodling a small picture on her paper, Alessandro approached her. She looked up, not wishing to appear distracted incase he decided that it was time for another joke.
He however didn’t have anything like that in him mind. She listened to his words, even the ones that she struggled to expel from his mouth. He had genuinely felt remorse for that dirty trick… but did she?
At last he had suggested they partner up, was that really a good idea? She quickly glanced at those around her, the professor, D’rorah who docked them both points, Wysteria who happened to catch her outside… and some other people she did not know or care at all about. Well at least he was better than most of her other choices… “Fine. Lets do this.” She hadn’t meant to sound cold, but was afraid she might have come off a bit standoffish. So she stammered a quick “I mean, alright.” Well that was one way to start a partnership.

Casting a glance around the room, Megan noticed people were pairing up for partners. Taking a breath, she wondered why. Seeing as the teen had missed the beginning of class she was quite lost and knew nothing about what was going on.
She recognized no one in the room... Except for Alessandro, who her eyes allighted upon. She considered going up to him and ask him what the subject for the class today was, but apparently he began to talk with another. Quite embarresed, she glanced down at the floor, seeming to take a sudden intrest in her bag that lay beside the desk, containing her books and such. It was odd for her to act this way: Maybe because she was worried about the punishment she might recieve, the possibility of losing points for her house still lingering in the air.

Partners? thought D'rorah disdainfully. She'd never had much luck partnering with others. She was too exacting... too demanding. She expected whomever she was stuck with to be at least as dedicated to his or her academic pursuits as she was herself. She didn't bother to look around, hoping she might end up as Professor Kade's partner... at least he would take the assignment seriously.
Then, she thought she heard her name spoken from the back of the classroom. She turned around to see the source and found Wysteria. She could see her own reticence at partner participation mirrored in Wysteria's eyes. She considered the alternatives for a moment before nodding inwardly and gesturing for Wysteria to join her in the front of the classroom. She had no desire to be in the back, lest her view be blocked by the inanity of one of the other students in front of her.

After all the groups seemed to be paired up Mordred glanced at his lesson plans once again. This next part could be a bit dangerous, he needed pillows, and lots.... Moments later, Mordred walked over to a desk and tapped with his wand and muttered a spell under his breath. A small puff noise could be heard as a cloud of smoke appeared. When the smoke settled you could see a small mattress laying just where the desk had been. Mordred continued around the room until he had enough mattresses for each group.
Mordred hovered the mattresses to the groups, until he reached a group of three. "This won't due... Kono, I believe Mister Soldier is still in need a partner." Mordred gave a quick smile as he walked back to the front of the room. Facing the class, he began to speak. "Now that each of you, including the two of you who tried to slip in unnoticed, have a partner, follow my instructions. First, one of you stand just in front of the mattress, I don't think any of you are strong enough to send someone flying across the room. Second, one of you stand a few feet in front of the other. The person who isn't by the mattress, needs to cast the spell Stupefy on their partner. If you hit them in the chest, you have a better chance of knocking them unconscious."
Mordred stood in front of his desk, ready to watch these young and brilliant students at work. "After you have rendered the other unconscious, use Ennervate to revive them. If you do this successfully then you and your partner swap spots. Also, if you have any questions please let me know, I'll be at my desk taking notes on your progress." Mordred retreated to his seat behind his desk and pulled out a quill and some parchment.
(OoC: Okay, it will be highly unlikely that you will do this perfect the first try, however; their is a few Hermione Grangers left in this school that I'm sure can pull it off. Seventh years, you will be more probable to do this the first try.)

OOC: what do you mean Gat needs a partner? Kono's already paired with Mongol. You said if someone was left without a partner you would go with them well Megan and Gat BOTH don't have partners. If Megan can't go with Gat than you should.

At the mention of spells, Megan perked up. Ennervate? Racking her brain, she remembered that she had performed this spell a few times in the past. Hopefully she'd get it right.
Realizing she wasn't, at least for now, getting docked house points, Megan gave a small sigh of relief. But now she faced a dilema: Professor Kade said that everyone had a partner. That left her alone... Nervously she looked around, wondering if the professor had been mistaken by chance. Her eyes caught on a boy, whom she couldn't name, but appeared to be the only one without a partner. Taking a breath, she stood up and walked over to him.
Quietly, she began, "It seems you and I are the only ones without a partner...?" It seemed to be a question hidden in a statement. A small smile on her face, she awaited his reply.

Alessandro stood by the mattress looking down at it uneasily. "You want me to get stupefied first?" He asked Keaira with an uncomfortable look. He hoped that she took his apology seriously as well as hoped she would ONLY stupefy him, and not turn him into a mouse again. He gripped his wand tightly as he awaited Keaira's response.

D'rorah stood next to her and Wysteria's mattress, eying it with a bit of disdain. "So Miss Edwin, which of us shall go first?" she asked, arching an eyebrow. "Actually..." she thought for a moment. "I believe I shall allow you to go first. I would rather have my own stupification out of the way. If you do not mind, that is."

Keaira was slightly unsure of this partnership, was it really a good idea? She looked from Allessandro to the mattress. Well, at least he would be comforted. “Sure….” She made sure that she was lined up, and tried to remember the exact wand movement for the spell.
“Stupefy!” Although she had not meant to she realized that as the words escaped her mouth she had said it a bit more forcefully than she had intended, then as an added effect her gestures were very abrupt, and sharp. Almost as soon as she had let the spell go she was sure she should have let him go first.

He was sent backwards into his mind. The lingering glow of red flashing before his eyes. He felt himself falling back and then into nothingness. He was out like a light. His body landed perfectly on the cushioned comfort of the mattress.

She watched him fall back on to the mattress. Slightly reminded of the way he had fallen out of the tree, only this time he was human. It occurred to her that she needed to pull off a very good spell, after all, if she got it right on the first time maybe she could win back some of the points she had lost in the past week.
She recalled the way the professor had flicked his wrists, and even the inflection that he had given the words. She wanted it to work but was slightly unsure, after all she was better at transfiguration…
"Ennervate." She flicked her wrist slightly, and used the same tone that the professor had in hopes that it would make her a bit more successful. After the spell was cast, she waiting for a few seconds to see if it had worked, and whether Alessandro would still be unconscious, or if his eyes would have opened.

He felt like he was floating in a Nightmare, surrounded by darkness. He could hear a variety of cacophonous sounds coming out of the blackness; snickering, groaning, and hissing, to name a few. He was paralyzed as he found he could not move an inch. He thought he saw a small light off in the distance and a faint voice which sounded like Keaira's. He suddnely felt a peculiar 'tug' in his torso from his navel. It felt like he was being pulled backwards as the darkness rushed away from him and light began to fill his sight. However, it had felt like whatever invisible string that was pulling him had snapped, and he was plunged into blackness once more.
Alessandro stirred lightly on the mattress, his right shoulder seemed to twitch and then he was still again.

Keaira's eyes had drifted over Alessandro's body, as he lay sprawled out on the mattress. She took note of his darker Italian complexion, compared to her very pale Irish one, then to the fact that he was slightly shorter than her, but built better. Keaira noticed as he seemed to slightly twitch in response to her spell. As she allowed her gaze to return to his face a small sigh escaped her lips. His grey-green eyes were still closed. Her spell had failed.
However, she was not easily defeated. And would try harder this time. She allowed her self to focus entirely on the word ennervate. She pulled all other thoughts away and focused solely on waking him. Her eyes rested on his face, to where his eyes should have been staring back at her. “Ennervate.” She had cast the spell, not only saying the word, but thinking it, willing him to hear her words. Perhaps that extra push would be the necessary key to waking him.
