"Well, hello Blaire..." Alessandro said as he picked up the package of Sopophorous Beans and then collected the rest of his items from Dylan. Giving him a nod of thanks, he then turned to Blaire, extending a hand to her while balancing his goods in his left arm while hugging his chest. "I'm Alessandro. I remember you from Herbology. Quite the everlasting entrance." He winked at her.
"What brings you into the Apothecary today?" He asked making conversation with the Gryffindor girl.

Blaire's cheeks started to burn. She knew she would be the klutzy girl forever. However, she had decided a while ago she would play it off like she meant to do it or didn't care that she looked stupid, "Nice to meet you Alessandro and yeah, that was me. I had to get people to notice me somehow right?" She smiled and stood up.
When Alessandro asked what brought her there today she said, "My aunt seems to think at I will run out of ingredients every week. That or she likes the owner." She made a face and stuck out her tongue. Blaire looked over her shoulder and sure enough, Aunt Wendy was batting her eyes at the old man.

Without thinking, Dylan laughed. He found Blaire's comment about her aunt actually quite funny, especially as his eyes followed hers, seeing that she was actually flirting with the disgusting man. "I suppose it's one way to meet people," he said in a joking voice, his eyes still on the pair by the counter and a smile on his face.
"I'm Dylan," he said shortly, focusing back on Blaire. "It's good to know you have a flare for entrances, anyway," he said, his eyes gleaming with laughter. His own purchases in his arms once more, he smiled brightly at her. "You're in Gryffindor?" he said, attempting to make conversation more than confirm her House.
Briefly, his eyes were caught by a bright gleam. Looking out of the musty window nearby, he saw a small child, only about the age of eight, with his mother. The pair forcibly reminded Dylan of similar excursions to Diagon Alley with his own mother. Returning his attention to the present, a slightly less pronounced smile remained on his face.

Blaire snickered when dylan laughed. Her aunt had a very unique taste in men. By that meaning poor taste. "I suppose so!" She shook her head at her aunt, "I would go over ther and get her but then I would be suckered into the conversation." The thought of having to stand there and agree with everything said scared her more than her aunt wedding that discusting man.
"Nice to meet you." She smiled at him while squinting at the gleam from the window, "Yeah I'm in Gryffindor. However I don't know if you'd call me brave. I'm more smart eleck. You are in..." she thought a moment, "Ravenclaw?"

His smile became happier as she joked over the potential couple at the counter. "Ravenclaw, yeah, we both are," he said, indicating to Alessandro. Somehow, his default conversation topic was usually associated with Quidditch. Inwardly rolling his eyes at this thought, he figured it was as good of a topic as any. "Are you trialling for your Quidditch team this year?" he said in a slightly excited tone. "I hope tryouts are soon, I've started practicing in my spare time," he added, indicating that he would indeed be vying for a position on the Ravenclaw team. "Oh, I'm a Keeper." He got that fact out of the way happily, waiting for her response.

"Hmm, not really a sports kind of girl, unless you count riding. I have an entire ranch of horses back home," She said and a pang of homesickness hit her in the stomach. She wondered what her favorite horse, Lola, was doing or if she missed her, "I barrel race and rope cattle. I'm the top in the state." Blaire beamd with pride. Then she realized that the boys might not know about horses and think she was a lunitic.
To keep her from rattling on and on Blaire changed the subject, "Was it that bad when I came into Herbology? I mean, there's been worse right?" Her thelittle bit of insecurity she had showing though. She loved to make people laugh but when she as doing it on purpose, but she knew it had to be funny to she her coming in like that. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other while waiting for the answer.

Trying to recall what little he knew of horses, Dylan nodded. He understood what she was saying, at any rate, which was probably far more advanced knowledge than most wizards or witches might hold. Recoiling slightly, he realised that he'd nearly inquired as to her nationality. Sometimes he could think the stupidest things... Knowing her accent was of Texan origin, he nearly shook his head in disapproval of his idiotic moment. Containing himself, however, he simply glossed over the fact that he'd nearly stumbled into such an obvious trap and responded to the rest of her comments.
Noticing that she looked ever-so-slightly embarassed about the topic of Herbology, he smiled reassuringly. "Not bad, just slightly funny," he said quietly. "At least no-one's going to forget who you are in a hurry," he added with a charming smile, knowing full well that most students he met forgot he existed. "In my third year a girl came into Potions covered in some kind of slime and wearing a polka-dot dress..." he said, reminiscing over the funny event. "We think she'd been swimming in the disgusting bit of the lake. Either that, or she'd gone for a bath in the most foul-smelling substance ever imaginable." His voice was joking and had a hint of laughter behind it.

Blaire laughed at Dylan's comments. She pictured a girl walking into the dungeons with green sticky stuff all over her. "Well, at lest I smell nice." Blaire smiled and acted as if she was going to smell her armpits. She laughed and looked back at her aunt again. She seemed to be content , Good. that means i can stay longer. It's about time I made some friends! Blaire thought.
As a tingling sensation went throught her feet, Blaire walked to the window and sat down in front of it, putting her newly bought items in front of her. She made a mental note not to knockthem over when she stood back up, " I wonder, did she know she smelt bad?" she thought out loud about the stinky smelling person Dylan mentioned.

His ears perked up at the mention of Quidditch. "You're going for Keeper?" He asked Dylan as he began to shift all the items within his arms grasp. "I'm going for Seeker! This should be fun!" He exclaimed almost dropping his Valerian Root again.
His eyes turned to Blaire as she asked if her entrance to herbology was really that bad. "No, no, not at all, remember, I smiled at you. I was thinking: Good show!" He said heartily as he was beginning to enjoy his conversation with two new people that he didn't normally have the pleasure of conversing with.
He sat back and listened to them talk about this and that, just holding a smile on his face as he let this moment purge the darkness from his mind.
"Hey, you guys want to pop over to Honeydukes? I've got a taste for some Every Flavor Beans..." He inquired to his small party.

Laughing at Alessandro's comments on Quidditch, he found that he was now thoroughly looking forward to tryouts for the Ravenclaw side, wondering how good his dormmate was. "Yeah it should be," he replied happily.
About to answer Blaire's semi-rhetorical question, he found his imminent response would never come as his mind switched immediately to Honeydukes. "Oh, I haven't been back since school started!" he said, eager to go. His smile broadened as Darko mentioned one of Dylan's favourite sweets, the many-flavoured beans produced by Bertie Bott. "I'd love to go, I need to stock up to prepare for my next week of school," he said jokingly.

Blaire giggled slightly as Alessanro and Dylan talked about Quidditch. They seemed to be pretty passionate about the sport. At her old school, there was a quidditch team , but, unfortunatly baseball and bascketball were more popular. Blaire had never understood why, but it was.
"Well, I have nothing elese planned." Blaire joked, "Let me go tell my aunt." Blaire walked over to her the older woman and almost got sucked into the conversation. Luckily, she wiggled her way out of it when she recieved the permission to go. She hadn't been to all the shops in Hogsmeade yet. Everything in Europe, Blaire loved and tried to soak in. She didn't know how she was going to leave it all behind when she went home this summer.
"What are Every Flavor Beans?" Blaire had no idea what this candy wasand she felt stupid for that. As she thought back to why the name sounded familiar she remembered that there was a store that tried to sell them but wasn't very successful. She was tempted to buy it, but she wasn't willing to sacrifice her taste buds at the time.

"You haven't heard of Every Flavour Beans? Bertie Bott's Every Flavour beans?? Why, they're the best jelly bean candy in the world! They've got a flavour for EVERYTHING...." He shuddered as he thought of his least favorite. "Even bogies!" He gagged as he said this thinking of the time he chomped down on a lime green bean. Mistake.
"We've absolutely got to get to Honeyduke's then, they've got 'em there, and much more! Fizzing Whisbee's, Licorice Wands, Acid Pops, and more!" He cried. He would have been perfect for a walking advertisement, for his enthusaism alone would have been a key selling factor.
Alessandro quickly went to the counter and asked the store clerk for a new bag. Once the items were secured in the bag, he pulled out his wand and tapped the bag muttering something.
"Reducio." The bag shrank to the point where it could fit in Alessandro's hand perfectly. He grabbed the bag and then placed it in his sidebag and returned to Dylan and Blaire.
"Are we ready then?" He asked eagerly as he looked from Blaire to Dylan, then back to Blaire.

Haha!" Blaire laughed heartily, as Alessandro's enthusiasm was rather amusing, "Bogies? Oh you mean boogers." Blaire laughed again. She, being from another country, was still trying to get used to the dialect.
"To Honeydukes, then." Blaire said excitedly. As she listened to all the candies that Alessandro was talking about, she tried to picture what they all looked like. Not very She hoisted her purse onto her shoulder and stuffed her purchased items into it.
Still getting her things situated she said, "I'm ready," She smiled up at the two others.

"Nice trick," he said casually, smirking at Alessandro's reduction of his purchases. Listening as his fellow Ravenclaw rambled on about sweets, Dylan remained content to simply laugh. As Blaire's words indicated that the trio would, in fact, travel to Hogsmeade, he nodded. "Off we go then!" he exclaimed happily.
He worried briefly about how they would reach their destination. Alessandro was his own year, as well as Blaire, so he doubted that either of them had any remote apparition abilities. Slightly happy about this, considering his first experience of that particular magic had not been overly wonderful, he then realised that Floo Powder was the next viable option. Not wanting to make a fool of himself in front of them, especially Darko, he hid his slight anxiety and made his way out of the store, emerging onto the crowded alleyway.
Travelling down the way, he smiled brightly as they passed Ollivanders. His reasons shall remain unknown to all of those that did not know of who currently ran the shop. Finally reaching the brick wall, he extracted his wand and tapped it briefly, an archway emerging. Passing through it, Dylan ended up in the famous, dingy pub; The Leaky Cauldron.
Approaching the far wall as he received a few glares and observed a few shifty looks from the current occupants of the pub, he indicated toward the large, stone fireplace. "Ladies first," he said with a small smirk.

So it was done. They had agreed to go to Honeydukes in Hogsmeade. Alessandro was a little confused for a moment as he had forgotten where exactly they were in all of his excitement. He secretly felt embarrassed as he realized that ther were in Diagon Alley, and needed to get to Hogsmeade via Floo Powder. He followed Dylan, and Blaire out the door of the Apothecary.
The three of them meandered down the way towards the plain brick wall, which beheld behind it, The Leaky Cauldron. Dylan tapped the wall and the bricks slowly, and jerkily moved forward and rotated around revealing the dingy pub inside.
They approached the fireplace as the inhabitants of the pub leered at them through drunken gazes. "Rather shifty lot, aren't they?" He whispered to his friends.
Dylan had showed the way to Blaire as he expected her to go first. Alessandro some how doubted that Blaire had experience using Floo Powder, given the facts that she had already stated about her knowlege of the Wizarding world. He stood back watching whether his assumptions were correct.
