Just finishing her homework, Susan, with a flick of her wand, assembled all of her things into her messenger bag. All of her parchment was automatically neatly folded together, her quills and ink pots were stored in the correct pockets, and her books and notes were left in the largest section. Satisfied, Susan returned her wand to her robe pocket and picked up the messenger bag. She turned to the left of the fire place to see the spiral stair case that led up to the girl's dormitory.
The staircase was rather tall, and her messenger bag was rather heavy. She was not looking forward to the march up the stairs. As much as she hated to, she realized she had to, and proceeded up the stairs. Very slowly, Susan climbed each step, taking her sweet time. At last she reached the top. Carefully closing the door behind her, she dropped her bag on the floor and flopped onto her four-poster. Susan wasn't quite exhausted, but she certainly was tired. She wished someone would join her in the dormitory. She needed a little girl-talk.

Olivia and Susan are not only cousins but best friends!Susan began to tell Olivia about her horrid walk up the spiral stair case when Olivia cut her of in a rush. Olivia had some exciting news that was going to drive Susan crazy! Olivia began to tell Susan everything starting with "i have a crush on someone i think" Olivia said to Susan and then the conversation ended with a big loud "O-M-G! that guy no way" ::)was the reply from her cousin. They talked for hours about what they should do to make Olivia's first move on this guy. Then Olivia was getting hungry so she went downstairs to sneak so food and when she got back Susan was gone and Olivia still needs her BFF and favorite cousins advice! [/glow]

Susan was excited to hear about this new mysterious guy that her cousin had been talking about. It was always exciting to hear about a new guy. Especially if this guy was worth crushing on! Susan listened closely as Olivia dished the details. While Olivia went downstairs, quickly to get some food from the kitchens, Susan began working on a friendship bracelet. A bracelet that she would soon exchange for another bracelet from her best friend, Olivia. While she waited for Olivia to return, she also thought some more about this guy. Susan wondered if she had met him before and not realized.
The quick clunking up the stairs, warned Susan that Olivia was coming back. Happy to have a snack, Susan put down her half-way woven strings down and grabbed a green apple, her favorite, and took a juicy bite.
"So tell me his name!" Susan asked excitedly, "I want to know everything about him!"

Well today is a new day and Olivia had the best day at school. In her new Potions class they got new seats and Olivia sits right next to her big crush! When Oliviva was on break between classes she went to her dorm room to practice her singing. Olvia took out her wand and with one swoop she had a very high pich voice. Olivia likes to use her magic to change her voice to help her soon to be singing career.
Olivia was alone until her best friend and cousin came into their dorms. Olivia changed her voice back and began to tell Susan about her day. Finally Olivia decided to tell Susan his name! Olivia slowly said "His name is...Dylan!" Olivia noticed by the look on Susan's face she didn't have a clue who Olivia was talking about. Olivia described him to Susan she said" He's cute and has great hair, but he's really shy so he doesn't talk much." So, then Olivia asked Suan" What should I do? Oh I know I could give him a Love Potion how bout..?"

Hearing the name Dylan, Susan thought a moment. Dylan. . . Maybe the Ravenclaw in her potions class? She couldn't quite remember. Her memory wasn't always as good as it should be. Snapping back to their conversation, she heard Olivia ask
"What should I do? Oh I know I could give him a Love Potion . . .?"
"A love potion?" Susan replied, "no, those are too messy! It could go totally wrong. Someone else could accidentally drink it or he could find out about it before hand and get the wrong idea. . ." Susan stopped, taking a bite of her apple. "I think you'll actually have to handle this the muggle-way." She paused for emphasis.
"Flirting." Susan smiled and looked to Olivia for her reaction.

Susan took another bite of her apple, finishing it off. How should she make her first move? It was a simple question. The harder part would be the answer. An answer that she had to supply.
"Uhh," Susan stalled for time. What would a muggle do? She thought. It was funny to think about her family as muggles. Just five years ago, she was one of those people. Those muggles.
"Well have you talked to him at all yet?" Susan asked, "Does he know you exist?" She didn't mean to sound brutal, but she had to know. "Because if he doesn't know you, you HAVE to talk to him some how!" Susan sat up excitedly, "We have to think of conversation starters!"
"Let's see," Susan began to brainstorm, "There's always school work if you have classes together. You can talk about quidditch. Ooh! Maybe he's on his house quidditch team, like you!" Susan paused. "Whatever you do though," she continued, "DON'T talk about the weather!" The weather should always be a last resort. The weather was always a bad topic to talk about. Susan looked to Olivia for her opinion on the matter.

Olivia was eating a wonderful sandwich that she got from the kitchen while pondering the opinion of Susan. Olivia said" We've talked he complemented my hair and he told me one day that the classroom was really cold." Does that mean anything? Olivia was a little offended by the question of her cousin Olivia responded" Yes he knows I'm alive! What kind of question is that?" Olivia thought that the best conversation starter would be classwork Olivia and Dylan have Potions together. Olivia decided that she would ask him what he thought about the homework. "how does that sound Susan?" asked Olivia. As Olivia ate her sandwich she decide she should go to bed now and they could continue this conversation tomorrow. Olivia said "Goodnight Susan!" and Olivia went to bed.

Susan could see that Olivia was tired and tried to get her opinion in quickly before Olivia decided to go to sleep. "You're right, homework would be a good thing to talk about," Susan agreed. She had been gnawing on her apple core. She disposed of it by taking her wand and using a simple charm to bewitch it into throwing its self into the waste bin. They probably weren't allowed to be eating in the dormitories, but they haven't been caught yet!
"I'm getting pretty tired," Susan commented, "Maybe we should get some sleep." Olivia seemed more than happy to oblige. Susan slipped into her pajamas, drew in the curtains around her four-poster, and promptly fell asleep.
