Name: Stephen Wade
Age: 11
Sex: Male
Nationality: English/British
Speech: Mild English accent; not too heavy
Blood: Half-blood
Father: Mark Wade
Mother: Kathy Wade
Siblings: An identical twin named Brian Wade, aged 11
Other Family: None that are important enough to be mentioned
Family Interactions: Stephen and Brian do everything together. They are good brothers (better than some may expect from siblings that are about the same age) and they are both interested in music. Stephen has played the flute since he was six years old, while Brian has played the violin for the same amount of time. Stephen and Brian both play the piano, and they often like to play duets with each other just for fun.
Stephen's dad works for quite a long time at the Ministry of Magic; he's a very busy person. Stephen and Brian don't really get that much time to bond with him since he is so busy, but they still love each other. Meanwhile, Stephen's mom is a Muggle-born and she is unemployed. She supports Stephen's and Brian's music playing greatly and accompanies them to important musical events.
Height: 5'5"
Weight: ~120 lbs.
Hair: Dark brown
Eyes: Brown
Skin Colour: Pretty pale
Clothing style: Plain and simple (explained more in Paragraph format)
Accessories: Stephen wears a small watch, but he doesn't accessorize his clothes too much; he likes it plain.
Other: Stephen has top and bottom braces that are usually crimson or black; he doesn't like to make them stand out too much.
Paragraph Format: Stephen is fairly tall for his age, but it's not too noticeable. He doesn't particularly tower over anyone else of his age. Stephen is also the average build, perhaps on the low side but mostly normal. Stephen has wavy brown hair of an average length (not too long for a boy) that perfectly match his brown eyes. Stephen likes to keep his hair neat, but he doesn't care too much about making it look fantastic.
Stephen has an average skin complexion, just like any other young Caucasian boy. He always wears the same thing; a dark, loose T-shirt (usually black or navy) and fairly loose jeans (he always sticks to blue jeans; he doesn't like the artificial jean colors like purple and such). He wears black tennis shoes and always wears sunglasses, no matter the weather. Whenever Stephen is inside, however, he keeps his sunglasses on the back of his head for easy storage. He sometimes wears a dark sweatshirt.
Personality: Stephen is a nice person and he loves to laugh. He always likes meeting new people and shares his laughter with everybody. Stephen always cracks jokes even when he's not supposed to (e.g. while he's in class), but it always makes everyone laugh. Stephen is good at keeping everyone entertained while they are experiencing something boring or pointless.
Stephen is a fairly intelligent person; he is well-educated and experienced in a lot of fields but isn't really brilliant at any of them (except for maybe music). Stephen likes to operate alone when he's working on something academic; it helps him think better. Whenever Stephen tries to work in a group, he ends up just taking control and doing all the work, which he knows is not a good thing. Stephen likes to stay on the safe side and work by himself. However, if he tries very hard in a group, Stephen can usually make it work out.
Finally, Stephen likes to stick to the security of his own strengths. He is not much of a risk-taker, but he likes a bit of adventure. To this day, the most risky thing he has done was to try learning a Concertino on the flute that was way above his level, and perform it in a concerto competition. Of course, he didn't win the competition, but he did fairly well considering his usual level. Stephen does not usually like to do anything that he is not familiar with.
History: Stephen (and his twin brother, Brian) was born on January 14, eleven years ago. Stephen was the younger twin by about two minutes. He was born in Worcester, England in the very early morning. Stephen and Brian were taken from the hospital to their homes about two weeks after their birth (twins, triplets, etc. have to stay at the hospital longer than normal infants). From the moment of birth, Stephen and Brian have always stuck together.
The Wade family lived in a small, modest home in Worcester. Stephen and Brian slept together, while their parents slept together. There was one extra room in their house (the guest room) and two bathrooms (one between the kids and their parents, and one for the guest room). Stephen and Brian slept in the same bed for the first few weeks of their life, because they would both cry or throw a tantrum it they were separated. This meant that they always ate at the same time or, if one baby got up during the night to eat, the other one would have to be woken as well.
The Wade brothers grew up together. They were told of their magical ancestry (their father was a pure-blood and his family traced back to his great-great-grandfather) when they were about six years old, but their parents still wanted them to attend grade school before going to Hogwarts. This was so that the twins could have a decent Muggle education (reading, writing, and mathematics) before tackling the difficulties of a place like Hogwarts. The twins attended school up to right before sixth grade. Then their letters came.
The reason that Hogwarts had put the Wades' names on their list was because Hogwarts knew about the Wades' ancestry. Mark and Kathy Wade had gone to Hogwarts himself in their day, so Hogwarts knew all about the Wade family. At the time, Mark was working for the Department of International Magical Cooperation at the Ministry of Magic. Meanwhile, Kathy wanted to spend more time with her children and didn't have a job. However, Hogwarts had heard that Mark and Kathy had had sons and put them on their role list from the twins' birth.
Now, Stephen and Brian have received their letters and are at Hogwarts. They are still inseparable, but they are more tolerant of their separation than they were as babies. Stephen and Brian are great pals, and hope they are placed in the same Houses at Hogwarts. Their parents anxiously await their Sorting results and hope that their children will be as successful as them. The Wade family will surely become a great family in wizarding history.

Note: I know a lot of this sorting application was about Brian Wade, as well. Brian doesn't have a character here, but what's a twin without its partner, right?
