Receiving a kiss, he smiled and saw a few elves hauling their picnic basket between them. Smiling in appreciation of all this kitchen full of hard workers had done for him over the years, he rose from his comfortable position on the grass and got a strong kiss as a reward. Reciprocating and smiling into the kiss, his eyes were alight as he drew back and was taken by the hand. Being awfully gentleman-like, he took the basket and thanked the elves, being led from the kitchen.
Moving through the castle of Hogwarts, it wasn't long before they reached their intended destination, thankfully without any encounters. Everyone seemed quite involved in dinner tonight, the majority of the school obviously focused into the Great Hall. Releasing her hand, he paced before the room a few times, thinking of the perfect place for a picnic.
The door finally appearing before the couple, he smiled at D'rorah and took her by the hand once more. He noticed for the first time that while she was considerably taller than him, her hands were still of a medium size for a woman. They were delicate and small in comparison to his, and fit almost perfectly within his larger, rough hands.

When the door opened, they were faced with a grecian style courtyard. A small open-air terrace gave way to a backdrop of lush hills rolling in the distance. Nearby, a small stream babbled over rocks; the banks of the stream were dotted by willow trees. D'rorah hesitated for only a moment before leading the way to one of the willow trees, feeling a slight breeze ripple through the air of the 'room' as she did. She squeezed his hand lightly and smiled. It was a nice compromise for not being able to go outside, having the sights and smells of this terraced room with its ceiling of sky. She could see now why the Headmistress had mentioned the possibility of using this room for Quidditch practices when she had first announced the beginning of the season a few days ago.
As house prefect, D'rorah knew the duty of casting a team for Ravenclaw would soon fall to her, something she wasn't particularly relishing given her own limited experience with the sport. In a rare moment of extreme casual-ness, D'rorah decided to stretch out on the ground. She lay, looking up at a blue sky in which a few wispy clouds rolled by, simply enjoying being near the young man who was with her now. Yes, the night seemed to be slowly recovering from the strange and extremely emotional outbursts from before.

Taking in the environs of the room, he found that it was quite beautiful. Allowing himself to be led as she wished, he found himself walking towards a willow tree. He’d always particularly liked that species of tree; it had a calming effect on him somehow. Feeling a small squeeze in his hand, he found a smile on D’rorah’s features and returned it, giving her a small kiss. Watching her relax on the soft ground, he placed the basket down nearby and a soft smile found its way onto his features.
Soon finding himself beside her, his legs stretched before him, he felt extremely relaxed and shut his eyes briefly. Almost automatically, an arm was soon found to be draped over D’rorah’s waist, his body turned on its side. It was almost as if it was a subconscious effort to have as many parts of him as close to her as possible. His head nestling into her neck, he gave her a small kiss to the only place his lips could reach without moving, her neck.
Suddenly wanting more of her, his lips continued their kissing ways, finally resulting in them finding her own lips. His draped arm curling around her side in a slightly more powerful movement than before, his body pressed closer to hers as he kissed her, more passionately now. Pulling back for a moment, his eyes danced, a smile playing on his lips. “I love you, Dee,” he said in a quiet voice.

"I love you too Dylan," she replied with a mirroring smile. She leaned forward and kissed him softly before pulling back a bit. As much as she wanted to be with him at the moment, she held back, afraid she wouldn't be able to extract herself from the situation at all if she allowed her own desires to take over. "Would you like to take a walk?" she asked, to distract herself from the fact of lying so close to him all over again. She leaned forward and kissed him softly. "The room has provided such beautiful weather, I think it would be nice to take advantage of that.
With a smile, she rose from her spot under the willow tree and stretched a bit. "We do not have to go far... I know you are a bit... weary from your exertions earlier today," she added with a playful smirk. "Perhaps just along the bank of the stream a short way," she added as a final suggestion.

His eyes lowered slightly as she proposed a walk, the mood suggested by them indecipherable. Feeling a soft kiss, he looked back up at her again and nodded, a small smile now on his features. Picking himself up off the ground, he trailed behind her a small way before quickly catching up. Picking a route down to the stream, he slipped his hand into hers, his legs still aching a bit. Their brief respite had re-energised them slightly, making him far more willing to move around as D’rorah had suggested.
“Dee…” he said quietly, turning to her. Planting a soft kiss on her forehead, he looked into her eyes, unable to smile for the moment. In less than one day he had exposed himself almost completely to someone he’d only met a few mere weeks ago. It was almost as if the years of being alone had finally accumulated into something so great that it was worth the wait. However, despite the absolute joy she brought him, it was still a completely unfamiliar sensation. Feeling extremely confused about everything, he felt that things had been much simpler before this woman had entered his life, despite the happiness she brought.

D'rorah looked up as he spoke her name. "Very well," she replied with a smile, thinking perhaps his legs were objecting too much to the walk she had proposed. "We are both rather tired. Perhaps we should call it a day for now." She leaned forward and kissed him softly. "Tomorrow is another day. I will see you for breakfast," she promised quietly. Gathering the picnic basket, she turned with him to head back towards their common room and the dormitories beyond. It had been a long, emotionally tumultuous day... they both needed rest. Quietly, she led the way, taking the basket with her, knowing the House Elves would happily retrieve it if she asked them to. "I love you Dylan Cooper... and I will still love you tomorrow. For now, let us rest awhile."
When they reached the common room, she gave him a soft kiss, oblivious to the other students around them and turned to head into her dormitory, deciding to go to bed rather earlier than usual.

A tired smile was found on his face as she said the very thing on his mind, and he followed her out of the room. At her words, he smiled happily and gave her a small kiss on the lips, his eyes lightening considerably. As they made their way back to Ravenclaw House he could only yearn for the moment when he would find the comfort of his own bed. Quickly answering the riddle, the couple entered and he saw a number of students were back from dinner by now, crowding around the fire or haggling with trading cards.
Surprised only slightly as she kissed him in front of their peers, he smiled wanly and headed up the stairs to his own dormitory, intent on simply crashing onto his comforting four-poster.
