Wysteria was flipping through her dream oracles book, her feet propped up on the arm of a large plush chair she had settled into. Her dream diary at her side, she was slowly gathering information for her current Divination assignment. A raven, some dust devils, and other seemingly unconnected symbols were causing her trouble in her assignment. Although divination did not always point a person in the correct direction, so she could explain it all away with conjecture. She smirked to herself, finding that she almost always had a love/hate relationship with divination. While she knew there were things that one could not explain, she always thought that a truly great seer wouldn't have incorrect readings most of the time. Sighing, she flipped to the index of her dream oracle book to try and find another symbol.
As she scratched her quill along her homework parchment, she heard someone enter the common room. Not wanting to disturd them in case they were busy, she kept to her work unless they showed they were not just passing through.

Zack came down the stairs from the boys dorms and looks around. He noticed a girl sitting off to the side doing some work. She looked busy, but there didn't seem to be anyone else around to help him. He approached her and squatted down. "Excuse me, I'm very sorry to bother you because you seem to be doing some homework. My name's Zack and I'm new here. I just moved here from America and don't seem to know what's going on around here. Could you help me if it's not too much trouble?" It was then that he noticed the pin on her robes. He felt a little foolish for asking her for help like she was an information booth when in fact she was a prefect.

Wysteria turned her head to look at the boy kneeling down next to her. She raised an eyebrow in amusement; the boy probably didn't realize that his accent gave away his heritage before he mentioned it. She was unsure exactly what he was confused about; his head of house should have made the transition easy enough. However, he might just be looking to make new friends and that was the best line he had so far. Either way, it was her duty as a prefect to make sure those in her house were comfortable and aware of their duties. She closed her dream diaries book and placed it on the nearby end table sitting next to her, along with her homework parchment and quills. Her long black hair nearly touched the floor as it hung in front of her face while she rearranged her things. Wyst flipped her hair back unceremoniously as she swung her legs around to sit in the chair.
She put on her best 'dutiful prefect' face and said simply, "of course. What exactly do you need help with?"

Zack tried to think of how to best describe his situation. He walked around the castle prior to coming to the common room, but it seemed that no matter where he went, he always ended up somewhere he was before. He would walk down one corridor, take a left, walk up a flight of stairs, walk down another corrider and down a flight, then somehow end up in the first. Another time he would walk down some stairs but end up near the astronomy tower. It confused him so much, but he never failed to find to common room. His head of house explained where the different classes were but didn't seem explain this weird phenomenon of ending up somewhere else.
"Well, I'm a little confused as to how to get around this place. I always seem to find the common room alright, but when I was walking around the castle, I always ended up somewhere new, or even someplace I've walked past. Is it me or do the stairs move?"

Wysteria smirked at his explanation. She remembered how confusing the castle could be during her first year, and it was harder for some students than others. She sighed, trying to think of what she did to learn the ins and outs of the school during her first year. After chewing on her bottomr lip for a moment in concentration, she answered him.
"Well, the staircases don't move exactly, but rooms do kind of...shift from time to time. There's really no fixed architecture in the school. Hogwarts sort of has a mind of its own," she said, laughing softly. "But classes almost always stay on the same floor, so if you look around enough I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for," she said, hoping this helped somewhat.
"I'd really hate for you to be late for class. If you're having trouble finding a specific room, you should let me know. I know most of the castle like the back of my hand, and since there's a ban on going out of doors I'm usually either here on in the library," she added.

Kylo trotted into the room, slung his backpack, well, more of a sack, onto a chiar and assesed the situation. His bright silver eyes glanced at Zack, the kid he had bumped into the other day, and he blushed when he saw Wysteria, and looked at his toes uncomfortably, though his dark skin hid it well enough. Then he looked back at Zack and said kindly, "If think I have some of his clases, if you need any help getting around.." His voice was quiet, but his eyes keen. "If thats okay with you, Wysteria." Her names was a blueish purple, and had pink spots, and flashed before his eyes before it vanished, he didn't notice though.
