With what had seemed an endless list of potions, remedies, elixirs, and other concoctions Evelyn had been spending every free moment of her life it had seemed brewing an endless list of potions. With out some one to efficiently run the hospital wing in quite some time It had seemed that their stock of healing drafts, and other helpful supplies in the potions realm had run so dangerously low that it had taken weeks of her every minuet to restore them to their necessary inventory.
Now she was finally done with brewing endless drafts, and droughts, and had some time to relax. Or so she had thought. She had lessons to catch up on, grades to do, students to see, and still more potions to brew. Her life had cycled in to an endless loop of going from one thing to another, and then barely managing to get some sleep and some food in her schedule around all of her other tasks. To Evelyn there seemed to never be enough hours in the day. Something she sorely hoped to change once she got caught up with life.
Today however, she had made a point to finally get back in contact with the headmistress. Some one she had hoped to actually get more than a few moments words with her this time. Or at least that is what she had expected as she made her way up to the office of the headmistress on this occasion. A nice relaxing conversation with her would do Evelyn some good. Especially if she was praised for her diligent effort in keeping the hospital wing stocked and fully functional. When she arrived at the office she gently knocked on the door, hoping that she had come at a good time for the headmistress to see her.

Caira heard a knock at the door and looked up from her paperwork. She felt like she had been focusing on it all morning long and was probably due for a bit of distraction. She set her quill aside and took up her wand, flourishing it so that the door opened. Seeing Evie, she smiled brightly. “Oh Evelyn, I’m so glad to see you,” she remarked cheerily. “I swear, one more minute looking at these files and my eyes might just run away from me altogether.”
She stood up and headed over to the comfortable sitting area in front of the fireplace. “Have you eaten yet? I’m absolutely famished. I mean, I had breakfast, but it was rushed and it feels like it was eons ago. C’mon, we’ll order in and have the House Elves bring one of their specialties… mmmm… I’m thinking,” she paused with a mischievous grin on her face, “pizza.”
Alright, so Caira didn’t really look like the kind of person who’d go for a lunchtime pizza run, but really, she knew how to have fun when she wanted to. And she thought Evelyn looked like the type who might enjoy something a bit more laid-back than the usual formal lunchtime affair… she was a headmistress after all, not the Queen.

Evelyn smiled as she was greeted with such a welcoming tone. It wasn’t every day that you were welcomed in to your boss’s office with such warmth. As she stepped through the door she nodded in response to Caira’s comment, “I understand exactly what you mean Caira, I’ve been trying to fully stock our hospital wing all month it seems. And between that and grades I feel like I haven’t relaxed in weeks.”
When the headmistress walked over to her sitting area, Evelyn happily joined her feeling much more comfortable already. “I myself have not eaten yet, and must say I savor the idea of pizza. Something I must say I’ve had in New York once upon a time, and I’ve never found its equal.”
As she took a seat in a comfortable chair near the glow of the fire place a content look crossed her face. It really was a nice and inviting room. Very much unlike her own in the dungeons. “I must apologize for taking so long to come and see you after you sent me that owl. Things have just been a little busy. Adjusting to the castle, grading papers, and potions, restocking the hospital, and even collecting ingredients for the student stores. Now what was it that you wished to speak with me again?”
Evelyn vaguely remembered that the letter had requested that Caira wished to touch bases, and see how classes were going. More of a lets get to know each other thing than anything bad. Remembering this seemed to put Evelyn at ease as she waited to hear it from Caira herself.

"Oh, don't worry about taking a while to come. A girl can only have tea so many times in a day anyway." She laughed lightly as she settled into her chair. "I've only wanted to catch up with everyone anyway. It's really not anything terribly important, mostly a social event," she remarked, describing her tea-time intentions. "I just decided that it might be nice to get together with everyone for a spot to catch up."
"So then, what would you like on your pizza? I'm pretty adventurous, so I'll try just about anything once. The house elves make the absolute best pizza too, like nothing I've ever had before in my life." Reaching over to a tea tray that seemed to always be ready for anyone who stopped by, she poured two cups of tea from an elegant silver tea service into delicate porcelain cups decorated with the Hogwarts emblem.
As she handed Evelyn her teacup cup and set the various tea accoutrements out, she smiled. "Now, I have heard that you've been doing an excellent job stocking potions for the infirmary. We just can't thank you enough for that. There simply wasn't the budget for a separate potions preparer for the infirmary. And of course, we've been a bit short-staffed with the dismissal of Professor Kade."
