Jared sat by the lake, thinking of many things at one time. How did he end up as a teacher? A question that often comes up in his mind, though he doesn't regret his decision, he often liked tom know what life would be like without Hogwarts. He shook his head silently but looked on to the water. A small wave rippled which made Jared smile. He imagined that instead of going on to a better place, his mother went to the waters. He visited there often just to be "closer" to her. Everytime he'd come by he'd ask himself, if his bond wasn't so strong with his grandfather, would his animagus be a water creature? A shark perhaps or maybe even a swordfish. His smile faded as he thought to himself. It maybe too late for him now but he's certainly happy with being what he is. As he tossed one last pebble into the lake he removed himself from his seat and started for his classroom.

D'rorah had noticed Spade sitting by the edge of the lake and had watched for a moment. She wondered if he was ever confused by his affinity for water. She had often questioned her own grey eyes and affinity for metals. Of course, she was not an Elemental Master, but being of the element, she had drawn strength from it, and found certain weak abilities to affect it. His posture, for a few moments, had reflected the true human being buried beneath the swaggering exterior. She looked out over the water and saw a shimmer of ripples pass over it, as though suddenly pelted by raindrops in a light shower. Oh Professor, she thought, if only you knew how close you were to the thing you seek.
She still wasn't quite sure she trusted him. Attacking her in Diagon Alley and attempting to have her committed to the infirmary and perhaps even St. Mungo's had done little to win her confidence. But, as she observed him, she was beginning to consider revealing her suspicions. As he approached, she turned and continued on her way through the courtyard, hoping he would not have noticed her watching him
