In this plotline, created by our fabulous D'rorah Philosophy, there are certain key-players that must remain active frequently to fill these roles. Most of which have been filled since the beginning of the site, others have opened and closed sporadically through its course. Below is an explanation of the roles of Elemental Masters and Shadow Warriors.
The Elemental Masters
The role of the Elemental Master is to protect the fragment of light that is aligned with one of the five elements in this storyline.
The Shadow Warriors
The role of a Shadow Warrior is to support the Elemental Master in protecting his fragment of light called an "Elemental Orb". The Shadow Warriors, unlike the Masters, are all female. Each Shadow Warrior shows qualities of the Element of their Master, and is able to manipulate that element to an extent, but their real power lies within their innate abilities to ward off the shadows and darkness.
The Elemental Masters
The role of the Elemental Master is to protect the fragment of light that is aligned with one of the five elements in this storyline.
EARTH:
The Element of Earth grounds it's master to such earthen things connecting with nature. Soil, Plants, Trees, Flowers, Nature in general. Those in tune with this element are good at Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, and are strong at performing Earth-based, and Healing magic.
WIND:
This is the element of knowledge and change. It promotes psychic awareness, not necessarily in the sense of psychic powers, but just awareness in general. It relates to the air, weather, and of course, the winds. Those in tune with this element are adept in Divinations, and can perform strong atmospheric spells.
WATER:
The Element of Water is as cool and flexible as its master. It rules over bodies of water, such as the sea, and has some connection with the moon, which in turn, affects the tides. This element relates to any fluid which contains water, Ale, Blood, Tears, and has some effect on Ice. Those in tune with the Water Element are strong in the field of Transfiguration, and can cast strong protection charms.
METAL:
The Metal Element is an element within itself. It pertains to minerals, ores, and basically all forms of metal. It has dominion over all things made of metal or containing metal. Those in synch with this element find that they are well off at Potions, and Transfiguration. Those who perform strong defensive magic, and utilize potions to their advantage are aligned with Metal.
FIRE:
Fire is a destructive element that occurs by the actions of an outside force in nature. It is the element of rebirth and promotes strength of the heart. Those in tune with the Element of Fire do well in Defense Against the Dark Arts, and perform strong offensive magic, particularly fire spells.
Chanting: The Shadow Warriors all learn a set of chants which immensely torture the beings of darkness, ultimately causing the creature of evil to explode into dust. They must then collect that dust within a tightly sealed bag. Such precautions are necessary, due to the fact that Shadow Dust is deadly if it is inhaled by anyone other than a Shadow Warrior.
Shadow Form: A Shadow Warrior can shift to Shadow Form which changes their composition to that of a shadow basically. It puts them on the same plane as the shadows and they can physically cause harm to them, unlike the Elemental Master, who must rely upon their Elemental Powers and Patronuses. In Shadow Form, Warriors are quicker as there is little to no substance to them, allowing them to pass through solid objects that are not protected with shadow dust, and can blend in with shadowy areas.
