Eive walked around the room strightening up things, looking them over, and basically trying dreadfully to stay busy. She was so nevous to start her class. She walked over to the board and wrote her name and the lesson on the board Professor McSteele Devil's Snare "That should do it," She said to herself. Then remembering that she had an example of Devil's Snare in her office, she walked briskly out of the greenhouse. She walked into the castle and disappeared from arriving students eyes.

Keaira wasn’t the best at Herbology. She just couldn’t seem to get things to grow, they always managed to die for some reason. So any normal person would assume that the girl headed to the greenhouses with her fellow students under the watchful eye of a teacher, was not Keaira O’Connell. She was far too happy to be outside to even worry about what could possibly await her at the greenhouses. The fresh smelling air, the wind as it breezed through her cloak. The grass crunching slightly under her feet. Everything down to the chirping of the birds, and the sun peaking out of the clouds made her happy.
Keaira had a smile that wouldn’t’ be broken, no matter what they were studying today. As she entered the class room she noticed that the teacher wasn’t there. In fact it was quite empty. But that didn’t matter. She planned on getting the seat closet to the open windows, and the door. It sure felt great to be outside.
Her bag was unceremoniously dropped to the floor, as she took a seat, soaking up the beautiful day.

Katherine was extremely excited for her first class. She wasn't too thrilled it was Herbology, but she took what she could get. It felt good to be outside, Katherine thought as she followed the rest of the class to the greenhouses. She hadn't been allowed outside since she'd arrived. It was a beautiful day and Katherine was happy to be finally at work.
She entered the greenhouse and looked around happily. On the chalk board she read that the first lesson would be on Devil's Snare. Eager to begin, Katherine strode past the Slytherin who had taken a seat by the door and moved closer to the front where she sat down in the front row. Katherine excitedly waited for the rest of the students to take their seats and for the class to begin.

Gat burst through the classroom door, hoping he wasn't late. Gat had been sleeping in the dorm alone while he had a break as he had been busy all night. Any way, he slept in. Seeing that he wasn't late and there weren't many students in the classroom, he sat down furtherest from the door. He spied Keaira O’Connell also in the classroom and hoping that she had not seen him, he kept his head down over a piece of parchment. He slowly headed it up with 'Devils Snare' in fancy writing as was on the board. He was eager to get started as he needed his Herbology NEWT to make his potions public. He thought back to the night when he had attempted to get D'rorah away from the place where she was being controlled. He had failed at getting her to safety. He thought back to when he fired an unforgivable curse at Keaira. 'Maybe that was a bit harsh.' He thought as he remembered seeing his elf on the ground, and remembering the anger that had coursed through him as he saw Keaira in the doorway holding a wand. He shook his head to rid himself of those memories. He knew it was not good to dwell on the past. Though he wondered why that would keep slipping back into his mind.

Susan excitedly followed the rest of the class outside. Outside!--It was a beautiful thing! Susan walked a little slower than everyone else. The grass seemed greener, the sky seemed bluer, even the air seemed fresher. She was so thrilled about the aspect of being outside, that it didn't matter that she would be in actuality just going to a class where she would be inside once more. Susan entered the greenhouse reluctantly. At least the greenhouse was bright and so close to the outside. Susan chose a seat by the windows, closer to the outer edge of the class. Susan glanced briefly to the front board to see that the first lesson would be on the Devil's Snare. Susan sat back and enjoyed the sunshine that was currently shining in on the class from every direction.

Practically bouncing along on the balls of his feet, Dylan exited the large main doors that had held him and most other students captive for the past couple of days. Finally getting to an outdoor class, he was absolutely thrilled. He'd missed the feel of the grass beneath his toes, playing by the lake on a hot summers' day, Quidditch just after dawn. Sighing, he stepped outside and forgot all of his ill feelings towards the current grounds ban, choosing instead to simply focus on the pure bliss of right now.
He took his sweet time making his way across the grounds. With the sun high in the sky and a small, refreshing breeze blowing past, who wouldn't, in fact, take their time? He noticed a familiar figure just ahead of him and smiled, glad that he had at least one friend in this class. Dawdling for a moment of two just outside the door, he then entered the greenhouse and looked around for a second. Finally determining where she'd gone, he made his way over to her. "Hey Susan," he said, smiling brightly. Finally being outside had that effect on him. "This seat taken?"

Susan looked up to see Dylan standing by her. "Oh, no." She replied to his question on the seat by her. The presence of another classmate, brought the aspect of class back to her. 'Devel's Snare' Susan read again. She remembered the name from previous years, but couldn't recall any details.
"Have you heard anything about the new professor?" Susan asked Dylan, trying to make what conversation they could before class began. She understood that Professor McSteele, as the board read, was new to Hogwarts. Susan wondered wether the teacher would be strict or allow chatting and Susan often like to do. Usually it depended on how nice the teacher was to how Susan did in her classes.

Smiling, he took a seat beside her, dumping his bag not-so-gracefully onto the floor beside it. "I don't know much about her, no. I've seen her at meals but that's about it. I hope she's alright... I've had enough of teachers I don't like in this school." he said reflectively. His brief moment of said reflection, however, was quickly broken by the shards of light penetrating the greenhouse. His head tilted backwards and he looked up through the glass panels, smiling, and really hoping that he wouldn't fall off of his chair.
Levelling his head once more he saw the writing on the board, appreaciating the nice penmanship. "Devil's Snare... Interesting." While Dylan was a smart boy, Herbology was not exactly his strong point. In fact, it was the worst class for him in this school apart from Divination. He'd only ever revealed this fact to one person, and only very recently, in fact. He smiled as he remembered the conversation he and D'rorah had shared in the Astronomy tower and became lost in the memory, now only aware of the sunlight and greenhouse in his subconscious mind.

With in a few moments the class room had filled up. This was mainly due to the fact that all the students were brought together in a group, so in anticipation of the class Keaira began rummaging through her backpack to pull out some required materials. Her hand soon found a bound leather notebook, and a folder with spare parchment. She pulled both out and then went back in to retrieve a bottle of red, ink, a bottle of blue ink and a calligrapher’s pen. As she bent over to pull the final object out of her bag, her eyes fell upon a particular student.
Quickly she changed her mind, pulling out her wand instead. Her eyes narrowed at the sight of him. He was not going to catch her off guard, and she was not planning on being hit with any unforgivable curses. As she sat back up, all the items she needed at the ready, and her wand tucked carefully in her sleeves, she pushed her thoughts outward. Allowing certain minds to brush up against hers. She read their surface thoughts, not daring to go deeper, so that her presence would go undetected. If he was going to try anything she would be prepared.
She pulled the note book closer, and let its pages fall open. She jotted a few things in to the book, but nothing class related. And then she closed it and pulled the parchment to her, copying the title Devils Snare across the top in the red ink. Her notes were always organized by color so studying was much easier. As she browsed the minds she felt a familiar one, and glanced to the area she felt it. She smiled as she recognized Dylan, and recalled their midnight meeting. She waved a little, but decided not to pursue it due to his current conversation with another girl….. A charmer indeed.

Aimee walked into the greenhouse and saw Susan and Dylan sitting by the windows. "Hey Susan, hey Dylan! It feels so good to be outide!" She said and sat down. Aimee took out a peice of parchment and headed it with Devil's Sare. She had always had kind of a flare for plants but not much. Nevertheless, Aimee had been having a good day and was determined not to let a class that she wasn't good at put her in a bad mood.

Evie walked back into the greenhouse to her students gathering in and taking seats. The plants that covered the walls looked perky and evie beamed with excitment, "Good day, class! Lets wait and see if any stragglers come along and then we'll begin!" Evie walked to her desk and sat down the pot she had come in with. "No one touch that," she warned and pionted to the chalk board, "remember what we are studying. It can be very dangerous."

Beth came wondering into the greenhouse and heard the professor saying something about what they were studying. Great, I've missed part of it. Now I'm going to be confused and look stupid! Beth thought and looked around to see if there was anyone to sit by. She saw a few people but they looked content with the conversations they were having so she sat in a seat near the door, incase she wanted to leave quickly. In fact, Beth was quite certain that she would want to leave quickly; Beth was horrible with plants. She loved them but she never remembered to tend them. I'm going to fail!

Evie looked around at the class, disappointed that it wasn'tas full as she thought it would be. All well, she thought, better next time.. "Okay, I suppose we will get started. I will let anyone who comes in late get by with it this time, only because it's the first class. In fact I think I will give everyone in here 5 points for actually coming to class. Okay," Evie flicked her wand at the plant on her daesk and instantly it floated into the air in front of her.
Noticing that she had a kind of scowl on her face from concentrating, she smiled brightly and thought I hope they like me, " This is a cutting of Devil's Snare. It looks like a regular potted plant that you could find anywhere, but it is still deadly."
She stopped and let the students soak this in, "In fact, about twenty years ago, it was passed off as a plotted plant to a man named Broderick Bode while he was in St. Mungo's. It strangled him to death." She raised her eyebrows and looked at the students.
"Before I go on, I would like us to introduce ourselves. I'm Professor McSteele...We will start with you," she pointed to a girl that sat beside the windows with her bag on the floor beside her.

Susan excitedly looked around the class. Professor McSteele had just awarded all of the students 5 points, just for arrive to class on time. Herbology had risen to the top of her favorite classes. Susan counted three Gryffindors in the green house, including herself. That meant 15 points for Gryffindor! Susan was happy that Gryiffindor finally had some points, even if it seemed they had been given out practically for free.
Susan looked around the class, searching for the student Professor McSteele had mentioned. She found it to be Keaira. She looked to Keaira to see what her response would be.

OOC: lets just assume that Alessandro has been here from the beginning.
Alessandro stood next to Susan and watched as the professor had asked for each of them to introduce themselves. She pointed to Keaira and asked her to start the role call. He looked next to him and smiled at Susan and then looked back at the plants around the greenhouse. I wonder if we're going to be dealing with Mandrakes... He thought to himself absentmindedly.
