What I say: "Carrie James... I remember her. And whatever she might think of me, she’s just an annoyance as far as I’m concerned. If I hadn’t switched sides... well, I have switched sides, and I don’t think D’rorah would really approve of me continuing that particular aspect of my research... Still, I won’t be making any effort to converse with her in the future."

History: D'rorah felt a connection with Kerridon when they first met. They both had been raised to participate in this war ever since they were very young... just on opposing sides. She met him first in Ollivanders, where she provided him a new wand and felt her interest piqued by the way materials suited for Dark Magic seemed best suited for him. She didn't really trust him at the time, knowing he wasn't on her side in the war and having the notion that he was involved. It was a trip into a Knockturn Alley bookshop that changed all of that. It was there that she confronted him, quietly of course, expressing her disappointment that anyone as intelligent as he could not see through the logic Dark Phoenix used when recruiting her allies. Of course, he had an entire family history of serving the Mage... but somehow, remarkably, that conversation pulled him to the side of Light. For his own safety, she helped him in constructing a series of mental barriers to guard his mind from Dark Phoenix from that point forward. It was that act that released a latent memory of the attack on her and her parents. She encountered the memory later, in the astronomy tower. Thinking it was her own memory, she paid little attention to it until she realized that the perspective was off. That was when she learned that one of the attackers, the leader of them in fact, had been Raziel Paradox. After helping Kerridon to rescue Mami Tien from the Shadow Realm, she went off to find Dylan. Kerridon had just informed her of his return... and after many sleepless nights and hours of agony trying to find him, he was all she could think of. Unfortunately, it seemed the same was not true for Dylan. After a particularly nasty encounter with him, Kerridon was the one who rescued her from the edges of the school grounds, where she had fallen unconscious. It was at Paradox Hall that their unexpected romance first began. They are careful to keep that a secret, worried what might happen if Dark Phoenix were to discover them together. Where: Finishing a thread in the RoR. You know I'm always up for a thread anywhere you'd like to start one. Who: Either one. What you say: "Kerridon... is a kindred spirit. I find myself amazed that all of those years under the service of the Mage have still left him with an ability to care for others. Certainly, he does care deeply for others, though he would most likely be loathe to admit it to anyone else. I look forward to our stolen moments away from the castle when we can both let our guard down a bit and just be together. He holds my heart... and woe unto anyone who attempts to take him from me." What I say: "D'rorah... she is the first person in a long while to actually care about me, just as she is the first person in a long while for me to actually care about. It is slightly bittersweet thinking of her, because of how little I get to actually see her with no one else about, but when I do see her it is certainly worth it. I dread to think my reaction if something ever happened to her..."

He controls his emotions. He is intelligent. He is strong physically and magically. He is handsome and charming. Who could ask for a more perfect man?" What I say: "Silren seems to have made a habit of catching me off guard. That first time I met her, in the forest all those years ago, and then more recently in the ballroom. She always seems to act a little strange around me, and I'm not entirely sure why. But, she was a friend to Taisy and I'll always be grateful for that. I can relate to her in some way, because unlike anyone else I know, she must also have mourned for my sister. But then, being around her will still bring out memories of my childhood; memories I'm not too keen on reliving. I guess we'll just have to see how our relationship goes now there isn't the buffer of Taisy in between us. It should be... interesting, to say the least."

That was at least, until the unlikely night when Zane and Keaira rescued him from the forest. It was that very night that planted all the seeds for the hatred she has for him. Having found out that it was Kerridon who had caused her night at the masquerade ball to be one of hiding, and defending both herself and Alessandro, she was, of course angry at him. That coupled with the thought that he had information that would help them rescue Alessandro drove Keaira to threaten to do the most vile thing she could think of at the time. She had told him she would pervert his memory of his sister’s death until he remembered it as if he himself had been the one to kill poor Taisy. Whether or not she could, or would actually do such a thing is really debatable, but at the time it had been a most convincing threat. Where:Let’s hold off on this for now. Who: What you say: "I don’t trust him. I mean what kind of a guy goes around purposefully poking their minds into other people’s heads, and on a night such as the Masquerade. Yes, I threatened him with a horrible thing, but let’s be honest, I would never do it unless I had concrete evidence that he was going to harm one of the people I care about, and even then it would be a hard thing for me to get the nerve up to do it. All that aside, Kerridon simply rubs me the wrong way. He may appear to be a victim of the Mage’s trickery, but that doesn’t mean that I trust him, even in the slightest." What I say: "At first, all I knew her as was the Slytherin who was stopping me from getting into Alessandro's mind. That was annoying in itself. But then Zane called to her in the forest, and she healed me... while making the vilest threat I've ever heard. I hate her, and there is no way I'm ever letting her into my mind again. If the Mage wants a lightfighter killed, she'll be the one I go for."
:: Zane Lucifer Bishop 16 years young, 6th year Slytherin Elemental Master of Metal Relationship(s): Not much to say in most conversations;; Acquaintances Nothing left of what we were;; Apparent Enemies Throughout all of this confusion;; Mixed feelings You try to save me;; Protecting you Another war to fight;; Actual Allies History: From their first meeting Zee could tell he and Kerridon shared many things in common. Both were talented wordsmiths, though at the time Zee flaunted the ability while Kerridon remained more low key. Little seemed to come from that encounter, each boy obfuscating his real feelings at the time, feelings that would have shown them to be even more alike. Zee thought the boy interesting, but had many other concerns and so thought rarely of Kerridon in the time after their initial introduction. Some time later however Zee had a waking vision of his lost love, not knowing that it was in truth Dark Phoenix herself in disguise. Following her into the forbidden forest, he would undoubtedly have been killed if he hadn't been brought there for a specific reason. There he found Kerridon, broken and bloodied. Unsure what had befallen the boy, having heard talk of his joining Dark Phoenix's minions at some sort of showdown in Hogsmeade, Zee thought it best to bring him back to the castle and mend his wounds. He already was somewhat favorably inclined toward the Ravenclaw and, believing that his severe injuries were the result of torture rather than battle, Zee associated it with what he'd done to Dylan, and felt quite obligated to do what he could. Thus he summoned his Shadow Warrior, Keaira. She would bring healing potions with her and/or know where to find some. Together they got the barely conscious boy to the Room of Requirement where Keaira healed and then interrogated him. Zee, perhaps uncharacteristically, strongly disapproved of Keaira's tactics during the latter, but given that he wasn't certain whether Kerridon worked for the Shadow Mage or not, he kept his objections minimal, thinking it better they show a united front. Once he was left to care for the recovering Kerridon however, Zee refused to bring up the subject, whether condoning or condemning either party. Kerridon did explain to him that the reason he had tried to get into Keaira and Alessandro's minds was that he had suspected Alessandro of being one of the Mage's followers. It seemed plausible enough to Zee, who never had much liked the Elemental Master of Fire and was all too willing to blame him for the whole thing. Zee never did press the issue when Kerridon 'escaped' from his care, figuring the boy was well enough at that point and prefering that he be out and about his own business than locked in the Room of Requirement at the mercy of a rather emotional Keaira. Still having much on his plate, Zee hasn't seriously thought of Kerridon in awhile. Where: Nowhere just yet, but soon, and anywhere except Myrtle's. Maybe the tower again. Who: I'll start it once I get some of what I'm doing wrapped up. Unless of course you want to. What you say: "Kerridon Paradox? I don't hear many asking about him. Despite the events he's been involved in he seems adept at flying under the radar. Or at least under my radar, though I suppose I have been distracted. I like him well enough. Very much considering we've never really had much interaction. I don't know what it is, almost like we're kindred spirits, to use a horrible cliché. I wouldn't exactly say that I trust him, but I'm far from convinced he's the underhanded devil some think him to be. I haven't talked to him in some time, and never with much depth. Perhaps that conversation is long past due. I'll just have to keep Keaira uninvolved." What I say: "I'm not really sure how to react to Zane. He was my jailer in the Room of Requirement, while providing me with all I needed to recover. He rescued me from the forest, but also summoned Keaira to the scene. He didn't seem to agree with her threats, but made no obvious effort to stop her speaking them. And while Zane did undoubtedly save my life, he's an Elemental Master. He is the enemy. Even if I did happen to like him and somehow be able to relate, I can't get around that."

I'll just have to keep Keaira uninvolved." What I say: ""[/blockquote]

:: D'rorah Eisenberg Philosophy 18 years young, 7th year Ravenclaw Prefect Shadow Warrior of Wind Relationship(s): You made me feel right at home;; Good friends Best friends can become strangers;; On & off friendship ~ Let's do this one more time ~ ;; On & off relationship ~ Never far from my reach ~ ;; Current ~ Well this feeling is love ~ ;; Serious Nothing left of what we were;; Apparent Enemies Why are the answers to my problems hard to find;; [Giver&receiver] of advice And no one in this industry understands;; Classmate You try to save me;; Protecting Another war to fight;; Actual Allies
