D'rorah strode into the charms classroom, her manner quiet and calm. The expression on her face was smiling... well, for her anyway. She surveyed the tables where she would soon be joining her fellow students for their first Charms lesson for that year, making her way to a seat at a table in the front, deciding anything further back would only make her a waiting witness for the inanity of those who took their schoolwork less seriously.
She set her new textbook on the table, the pages already slightly fluffed out from having been read through at least twice over the summer. On top of her textbook, she set her own personal study companion, a book she had put together cross-referencing materials in the textbook with materials from other resources.
New school, new year, new books, she thought to herself, wondering what this new school might have in store... whether the curriculum would challenge her or merely take up time, sending her on a quest to the library in an attempt to supplement the lessons. Already, she had found herself listening to the accents of those around her and wondering whether she ought adopt a British accent for herself; she had decided against that though, knowing that someone would inevitably ask where she hailed from, and that she would not feel like going to the trouble of constructing a convincing lie.
Her voice was polite but formal as she spoke. "Good morning Professor Cage," she greeted as she lowered herself into her seat with a gracefully fluid motion. She placed her booksack, its seams protesting already the weight of the texts inside, on the floor. Taking out a piece of fresh parchment and a new quill, she ordered her temporary workspace, preparing for the imminent class.

Sinsu walked in not as happy as she normally was. She walked over and sat down next to D'rorah. She didnt' really notice where she sat do to the fact she was despretely hoping that they wouldn't have to preform any charms today. She sat down her book which she had already memorized. She was glad she could memorize things. It made up for her lack of skill with her wand. Her bag was sitting by her feet and she reached down and pulled out her quill and ink. She placed them on the table then sighed and looked over at D'rorah. She hadn't noticed her till then. "..oh...hi Dee..." She had known of Dee for a while now but never really talked to her much. She put on a smile hoping that if she made a friend her mood would improve. She wasn't normally depressed like this but charms class made her like this occasionally.

D'rorah arched her eyebrow, momentarily non-plussed by the familiar greeting. "My apologies, were you addressing me?" she asked calmly, looking around as it to ascertain if the greeting might have been meant for another. A quick scan of the classroom confirmed what she had already assumed to be correct, she and this newcomer were the only ones present.
She eyed the girl next to her, Gryffindor by the look of her attire. Well, I suppose that explains the almost arrogant familiarity with which she takes the liberty of addressing others, she thought to herself. Then, for whatever reason, she held her thought in check, realizing that the girl sitting next to her looked somewhat the way she secretly felt... D'rorah decided that, at least for the moment, it might not be a bad idea to attempt an overture of friendship with some of the other students; not that she would go out of her way to do so, of course.
Summoning a polite smile, D'rorah addressed the other student. "Good day. Miss... Kayme? Is it not? Yes, I believe I recall having heard your name mentioned previously. Though, I admit, I cannot recall in what capacity. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Sinsu looked sorry. She had forgot to tell her name. She looks down looking a little embarased. "...I'm sorry...I was rude....the names Sinsu Kayme...you can call me Sin...or whatever...." She looked around the classroom see they were the only ones there so far. She began to wonder if she had once again went to the wrong class. After a moment she realized that she must be in the right class cause Dee was there. Finally she snaped out of her depression and put a smile on her face. "So! Do you know what we're doing today?" She looked around as if her doing so she could discover the answer to her question. "...do you know if we are going to actually have to preform charms...or are we going to be studing?" She truely hoped it was the second one. She didn't feel like embarasing herself once again today.

D'rorah puzzled at Sinsu's crestfallen expression when she realized she had not yet introduced herself. "Do not worry. Considering that you already knew my name, there was certainly a logical possibility that I might know yours as well."
She followed Sinsu's gaze around the classroom, wondering what she might be looking at, her eyebrows coming together just a fraction of an inch in puzzlement. When she finally spoke her question, D'rorah gave one of her almost-smiles. "I believe, perhaps it may be a bit of both," she replied. "Though it is also quite possible that, being the first day, Professor Cage may decided to evaluate our practical ability with casting charms." She looked toward the desk in the front. "I suppose he would be the only person who will be able to properly answer that question. Though, perhaps, we shall find out soon enough."
Not really being accustomed to social pleasantries and small talk, D'rorah then turned her gaze back to her research companion and began going over the notes she had meticulously cross-referenced from the textbook, her grey eyes flitting back and forth as she quietly turned pages. She wondered for only a moment if her actions might be perceived as rude; but just as quickly as the thought had come, it had been dismissed as illogical. Certainly, they were all here to learn, rather than to engage in idle conversation.

Sinsu sighed and her head droped to the desk. She had been afraid of that. She really didn't want to have to try to preform magic. Her hopes of book work instead of practical use had been all but dashed. Her hand fell from the table and swung right near her bag. After a few minutes Serina Sinsu's pet kneazle stuck her head out and licked her fingers. Smiling sinsu reached down and pet her forgetting about her depression. She said softly to Serina. "...thanks Serina...." Sinsu looked up to see that a few students were entering the room. Class should be starting soon. Her gazed went back to Serina and she smiled.

Alessandro entered the Charms classroom in a mild hurry, his robes flapping as he zipped over to a seat. On his way in he noticed D'rorah from Ollivanders and Sinsu, a girl he had minimal interaction with. He gave them a quick smile and wave and sat down. He quickly pulled out several books and opened them on his desk, and in succession, he pulled his new 10 and 3/4" sycamore wand with demiguise hair core out of his side bag that was sitting on the floor next to his feet. Instantly he threw himself into his open books while at the same time waving his wand every which way as if to practice wand-work.
"Accio, Winguardium Leviosa, Avis, Confundo...." He muttered as he quickly read onto Color-Flash charms and then onto Concealments.

As Sinsu heard something behind her she looked around seeing the boy practicing magic, withholding a grimice at the skill he was displaying. The boy looked familiar but she couldn't place him. Annoyance was apparent on her face as she sorted through her memory trying to remember who this boy was and where she had seen him before. It was almost a full minute before Sinsu stood suddenly and stuck her index finger out pointing at the boy and said loudly in a suprised voice.
"The boy from the girls bathroom!"
It hadn't been ment as an acusation though it sounded quite odd. She had simply been happy she'd remembered where she'd seen him before and had acted before really thinking. Which was the normal for her anyways. Though the few others in the class turned to look with bits of confusion on their faces. If it would of been anyone but Sinsu to of shouted this there might of been a scene but since it was Sinsu most just simply ignored her outburst attributing it to her odd nature.

Alessandro was so engrossed in his reading that he wasn't paying attention to the world around him or where his wand was pointing as he was working out complex wand movements while mouthing incantations. He was halfway through the Color flash spell when he heard the girl in front of him stand up suddenly and shout.
"The boy from the girls bathroom!"
This startled him greatly as he had been deep in concentration in his own little world and at that moment he released a spell from his wand accidentally. There was a bright red flash of light that filled the classroom and a bolt of red light rocketed across the room shattering a large window. The jagged shards of glass dropped to the floor, thankfully harming no one in the process, and proceeded to shatter into smaller fragments upon impact with the cold, stone floor.
Alessandro almost died just then. He clutched his chest, and heaved heavily and stared at the girl with wide, terror-stricken gray eyes with that flash of green. "Why would you do that?!" He shouted. His heart was racing at the damage he had cause and the jump she had given him. He took a breath. "I'm sorry..." He said regaining composure. "I'm sorry, you just scared me....I didn't mean to shout...and yes...but please, I do not wish for everyone to know that I am the boy from the...girls bathroom..." Alessandro said with a smirk.
He pointed his wand at the window and intoned the incantation to repair it. Reparo! In a matter of moments, the shards of glass zipped back together and flew up to the window as if someone had presssed "rewind". The window was whole again.
"How are you doing....Sinsu...Is it? What have you been up to since our last meeting in the....errr....in Myrtles territory." He said skirting the words "Girls Bathroom"

A angry glare was directed at the now fixed window but Sinsu didnt' say anything about the charm since it was sorta her fault the window had been shatered. Wiping away the resentment for the charm she turned to the boy and smiled widely still not remembering his name. It took her a few moments to relize why he had reacted in such a way. Finally putting the pieces together she burst out laughing. Laughing so hard she had to clutch her side and weaze for breath. The people around them seemed to ignore her intirely except for maybe a few bemused looks. After what seemed an hour she finally calmed down and gasp for breath.
"I get it! Oh man! Thats hallarious!"
At that she burst out laughing again to either the discomfort or bemusement of those around her. As she once again ran out of air she looked up at him realizing her rudeness suddenly. Her face might of went red from embarasement but was already beat red from laughing so hard. Trying to stop the laughing and appologize at the same time only seemed to make the situation worst.

Alessandro looked confused at Sinsu as she roared with laughter. She managed to get out that she "got" something that he had said as if he had included some cryptic message in his last words to her.
"What's so funny?" He asked her starting to feel slightly embarrassed that she was laughing at him. He noticed a couple students around him turn and give him funny looks. He shot a furtive glance at D'rorah who had definitely noticed the window breaking, but showed no signs of attention toward the laughing ruckus going on in front of him. He wished she would stop laughing. "Why are you laughing?" He asked again with a biting tone.
She roared with laughter moreso. "You know, you carry on as if you've been hit with a rictusempra charm..." Alessandro rolled his eyes and looked down at his books not knowing how to handle the girl laughing at him. He sighed finally and pretty soon a crooked smile appeared on his face. "Okay...now you're gonna get me going....its contagious!" He said feeling his annoyance and embarrassment melt away.

D'rorah finally looked up from her reading, a scowl forming on her face. "Could you both possibly produce any more noise?" she asked, her voice thick with annoyance. "There are those of us present who are attempting to indulge in further study, and your disturbance is causing great difficulty in that endeavor." She turned a page in her notes and went back to the page she had been reading. "Mister Darko, Miss Kayme?" she questioned, waiting for some sort of response. Of all the times and places for ruckus, the classroom was certainly not appropriate. She had endured breaking glass and an outburst about the girls' restroom without comment. She had even been prepared to endure the laughter, had it only not lasted so long. "Please one of you, come up with an intelligent response," she prompted.

As soon as D'rorah Philosophy finished her angry interjection to their laughter, the smile quickly faded from Alessandro's face. It was very inconsiderate of the two of them, Sinsu and himself, to carry on in the manner in which they did. He frowned and began to feel embarrassment yet again. He understood what she was saying, the classroom is no place for ruckus. He himself was trying to study if it weren't for the fact that Sinsu scared the horcux out of him. Feeling sorry for the disruption of Dee's peace, he mustered an apology to the best of his character.
"Hey, you're right Dee. I'm sorry for contributing to the cacophony and disturbing you. It was Sinsu that startled me which caused the accidental release of that exploding spell. I didn't mean to disrupt anybody. But....I couldn't help but laugh. Sometimes it's good to laugh at yourself...I believe it to be healing." He said sincerely. "I think we'll all just get back to studying silently while awaiting the professor."
Alessandro put his nose back in his books trying to avoid D'rorah's looks of disapproval. He cursed himself inside as he felt he could never do anything right and made a mental note not to get so consumed by reading material that he might be startled at the slightest thing.

D'rorah returned her attention back to her reading, the scowl easing from her face. She briefly considered the possibility that she had been too cold, but dismissed it just as quickly. There really was no place for such disruption in the classroom. She turned a page in her notebook, quill once again scribbling away. Of course, she also knew it was rather odd for her to make such an outburst. She furrowed her brow thoughtfully. Typically, she would have merely endured the noise and commotion.
Finally, feeling as though she had reacted, so looked up from her notebook. "My apologies to you both. My reaction was a bit more vehement than the situation warranted. But please, do try to keep the din to a reasonable level. My time and peace are quite precious to me... every moment lost is a moment I shall never earn back."

Alessandro nodded to D'rorah as she excused her reaction to the commotion Sinsu and he were causing. He decided against saying anything at all to Dee as she made it clear that she needed peace, and felt that if he even said anything simple as to "You're alright Dee" or "Its no problem, my fault." that it would exacerbate the situation.
He had his fill of studying charms and hexes. He closed his book and pulled out Advanced Transfiguration and flipped to page 224, entitled: Transfiguring the Face, and other associated parts. He read on about how to lengthen ones nose and ears, and how to change the color of your eyes. He liked his eyes just fine, that piercing gray with a green 'halo' wrapped around the pupils. He remembered how he used to look at them in the mirror up close with a flashlight. He would watch the muscles in his iris oscillate in an out stimulated by the light.
