OOC: This is like a few years ago.
Name: Katrina Quin Woods Preferred Wand Length: 8 1/2 About: Magical Creatures, Transfiguration, Charms.
Quin walked into the shop jauntily, smiling amibly, hands in her pockets. Glancing around carelessly, she almost stumlbed over a stool on the ground. She mutter, "Opps," And blushed slightly. Stopping at the counter, she looked cyriously at the man ebhind it. "This is where you get a wand..right?" She asked, as a furry brown head popped over her soulder quizzicly. She scratched him under the chin.

D'rorah watched as a young girl approached her counter. "Yes, this would be the appropriate place to procure a wand," she replied simply. She held her hand out, waiting for the appropriate slip of paper with the girl's information.
"Ah yes, I believe I have something that will suit you very well, Miss Woods." She turned from the counter and made her way into the storeroom in the back. After a few minutes of shuffling through a stack of boxes to find one in the very back, she returned with a long, slender box.
"Here we are," she said, eying the small brown animal that perched on the young girl's shoulder. "This wand is eight and one half inches yew with a core of gytrash fur." The gytrash fur is a very durable core, good for one who works with magical creatures. It will continue to work for a time, even if the wand itself is damaged. The yew, of course, is helpful for transfiguration spells."
She held the opened box out. "Please, do try it."

Quin nodded, and took the wand excitedly. She could feel her pulse through the wood, and her eyes grew a fraction larger. It sounded like a good wand, perfect for her needs, and luckily, durable. BUt it fit strange in her hand, more like a spikey rod then a wand. "Thanks.." She mused, then gave the wand an excited flick. It whooshed through the air, then a loud bang occoured, sending out blue and green sparks, and plasted off some wands from the rack. "Whoops.." She giggled, "I can get that..sorry." Heno gave a startled snarl, showing pearly and sharp fangs. He chattered crossly, then moved to her other shoulder, watching the wand aprehesively.

"Do not worry, it happens more often than one would think," replied D'rorah. "You will learn to control it a bit better with time." She smiled and brandished her own wand, flicking it slightly, sending the boxes back into their proper order. "You are in luck today. The wands are actually all courtesy of the establishment," she added with a slight smile. "So then, would you like the box? Or would you prefer to simply carry your new wand out with you?"
She waited, eying the furry animal on the girl's shoulder with an arched eyebrow. She never would cease to be amazed by the array of pets people owned in Diagon Alley.
(ooc: I just realized that you stated this would be a few years ago, but really if your character is only eleven, she would just now be getting her first wand... that, and D'rorah wouldn't have been at the shop before this particular year... so there wouldn't have been anyone to RP giving you your wand.)

(ooc: I messaged you that I changed her bio..I made her a bit older, so she's 14, and I wasn't sure if you needed to this always, or just first years. *wrinkles eye brows* does that mean that this never happened then?)
Quin smiled crookedly, then siad, "Uh..thank you! I don't need the box, thanks anyways." She said, twirling the wand in-between her fingures like she was in color guard. Noticing that the owner of the shop was staring at Heno, she took him from her shoulder, and said, 'He's a pine martin, met him a fews ago as an orphan in the woods. 'Names Heno." She informed her, offering for the other lady to pet him. Heno squirmed aruond, until he was laying or her wrist, still eyeing the wand cirously.
