Nick entered the Three Broomsticks and doffed his hat. After a quick look around he smiled. The place looked no different than when he last came in, all those years ago. In fact, his usual table was available. He made his way over to the corner table and sat down. He had preferred this table in his younger years due to its large size and excellent vantage point of the entire establishment. Back then, he used that view to see what kind of girls were coming in. Now, he thought we would use it to see who came in in general. He had just gotten back to the school and he did not know many people. He had hoped that would change soon enough. He was a social person by nature and did not like to be alone for long.
He ordered a butterbeer from the comely barmaid that came to take his order, making a flirty comment and smiled when she brought him his drink. He sat back and took in the scene. The bar was not that busy as it was still early in the day and most people were still at their jobs. Nick himself, having just arrived, was just getting settled and was taking a much needed break from unpacking and getting his first lesson prepared. He came to the bar for a break, and, he hoped to himself, a good conversation. Still, he would be patient. He took a sip from his drink and waited.
