Ariana stood in the foyer just inside the school doors. At Ariana's feet was her trunk, a single black bag, and a box with small holes near the lid. Ariana wore a light wight striped shirt that was a pale green with brown dress pants. She had warm black winter coat on and had left her hair down. She was waiting for her friends to come so that she could say goodbye to everyone. She was dropping out of school to take care of her brother. She may not have like his mother and their father but she wouldn't let him go to an children's home in the USA. She waited calmly for everyone to come down for lunch. She was going to be on next train that would leave hogsmead, which was very few. As for her schooling she would just have to learn at home. Akira didn't like the idea of havening her brother livening with them but after a lot of pleading on Ariana's part, he aloud it as long as he stayed out of the way. Ariana looked up as people started filling in to the foyer to go to the great hall.

Aimee came out of the Great Hall, still laughing at a joke she had heard. She looked around, usually there were people loitering, waiting to go to there next class or just talking. Aimee had to do a double take when she glanced at the doors. Standing there with her trunk and a bag, a girl with long black hair, Aimee thought, looked a little lonely.
Aimee started to walk over to the doors. As she got closer she realized that it was Ariana, a Slytherin girl she had met briefly in Potter Park. At first she wasn't sure if she should go talk to her or not. Putting her thoughts in the back of her mind, Aimee continued her way over to Ariana.
"Hey Ariana. Are you going on holiday or something?" Aimee asked tried to make the conversation sound light and happy.

Susan followed the flow of people out of the Great Hall. It had been an overall good day. Recently things had been better than the overall depression that had been hanging over her. As she made her way across the foyer, Susan caught sight of a girl who looked as if she were leaving. There was a packed trunk by her and she was garbed in traveling clothes. She felt her stomach lurch as she recognized the girl by the door to be Ariana. Susan approached Ariana who seemed to be talking with Aimee, her fellow Gryffindor.
"Hey Aimee," Susan gave a quick salutation to her dorm mate before turning to Ariana.
"Ariana, are you leaving?" Susan asked worriedly. She knew that there were dark wizards at large and that Hogwarts would be the safest place around. Susan hung close to her friend. Despite their house differences, Susan did consider Ariana a friend. While sometimes she had been distant, Susan felt that they were mostly on good terms. She feared for her safety, wherever she may be going. Susan glanced briefly at Aimee, wondering if she could explain what was going on yet.

Ariana smiled sadly at both Aimee and Susan before say, "I'm dropping out to take care of my muggle brother. Someone kindly kill my father and his step wife but not my brother." Ariana quickly looked around for Gat hoping that he was coming for or leavening lunch. Ariana wanted to give him two things before leavening today. Looking back at the two girls Ariana said, "though I don't mind looking after him I guess though I will miss this place and everyone I met here." Ariana really didn't want to leave but as some people would say, its all work and no play. Ariana had to take her brother as there wasn't anyone else who could or would.

More students were coming out of the Great Hall finishing there meals. While waiting for Ariana to answer, Susan had come to join them.
"Hey Susan." Aimee greeted the other Gryffindor with a small smile, and then turned back to Ariana. Being her lazy self, Aimee leaned against the door. She glanced outside every now and again, seeing if maybe the weather had gotten warmer in the last five seconds.
"I'm dropping out to take care of my muggle brother. Someone kindly kill my father and his step wife but not my brother."
Aimee's eyes widened when she heard what Ariana had said. "Thats awful, I'm so sorry. Your brother must be in shock." She said. After a few seconds of silence she added, "Your a good sister to give up school to take care of him."

Susan frowned at the news that Ariana was definitely leaving. She wrapped her arms around herself, feeling suddenly empty despite the large amount of foods she'd only recently consumed. Tears were almost added to the frown as Ariana explained the reason for her departure.
"Oh Ariana," Susan condoled and she placed her hand on Ariana's shoulder, "I'm so sorry, that's absolutely horrible." Susan couldn't imagine loosing her own parents. She couldn't imagine having to leave Hogwarts at a time like this. She couldn't fathom how to begin to care for her younger muggle sister. Susan retracted her hand and returned it to her own self-hug.
"Who would do such a thing?" Susan asked, losing her previous sad disposition and picking up an air of anger. "Have they caught the perpetrator? Are they in Azkaban yet?" Susan pestered, curious to know the fate of the horrible person who had managed to take a family away from her friend, and therefore a friend away from herself.

"who every it was they never found" said Ariana looking and hoping to see Gat before she had to leave for the train. Ariana sighed and said, "I'm really sorry but I have to get going or I'll miss the train, I wish I could have said goodbye to my other friend but most I wish I had time to tell one Gat goodbye also I wanted to give him this." She held up the box that sat at her feet with a small but brown pouch on it. "Um if not too much trouble could you find Gat Soldier and give him this" Ariana asked putting the box down back at her feet and picking the brown pouch up. Taking both Susan hands into hers Ariana placed the pouch between the other girls hands "I was hoping to give this to him myself but I can't. Please find him if you can or find someone who knows him" she added. Ariana cast the levitation spell on her trunk and bags before picking up the box. She smiled sadly at her friends before turning and walking out of the foyer doors. She was heading down to the small but nice town know as Hogsmead. She just hoped that she would see Gat before getting on the train.

Susan frowned at the news that the murderers had not been caught yet. "I'm so sorry, Ariana," Susan said again. She felt bad for being redundant, but there wasn't anything else she could think of to say. Susan obliged, holding out her hands to receive the gift. Holding the brown parcel between her hands, Susan took in the instructions. The gift was for Gat Soldier. Susan blinked disbelievingly for a moment.
"Gat Soldier?" Susan repeated trying not to make a nasty face. A realization rushed over Susan. She knew that Ariana and Gat had been close, but she'd only figured it came from their house status. Susan finally understood the gravity of their relationship. Fully knowing how uncomfortable this situation she had walked into was, Susan accepted.
"I promise, I'll find Gat," Susan whispered for she was on the verge of tears. It was all so horribly romantic. With the package in one hand, Susan wrapped her arms around Ariana.
"I'll miss you," Susan rubbed her eyes with the sleeve of her robe. She was never good at saying good-bye. It was by chance that she had decided to walk this way. Had Susan gone straight her common room, she might have never gotten to say good-bye to Ariana.
(ooc: you wanna tell me or send a pm to Gat about what the present is, so we don't have to make things up?)
