Putting his jacket back on, that Aimee had borrowed, Mallan lead them both to the Great Hall. It was lunchtime after all and his stomach was growling at him as if cornered. They made their way through the corridors before coming upon the Great Hall. As they entered Mallan took a moment to appreciate the high vaulted ceilings and the magnificent adornments. Every time he walked in here it was breathtaking and every time something was different even if it was a small change.
This place is amazing, isn’t it?
Mallan said as he continued into the expansive room. They headed towards the Gryffindor tables and found a place for two to sit.
After you. (Mallan put on the best charming smile he could)
He stood there patiently waiting for her to sit first but could not stop thinking about her. When she wasn’t looking he let his eyes have what they were yearning to do; have a fuller look at her. She was pretty and the slight airheadedness came off charming instead annoying, which was unusual. Mallan couldn’t help the smile as it broadened.

(sorry for not replying for a while, had a little computer taken over trouble lol)
Walking a little way behind Mallan, Aimee sat her broom in a corner of the giant room they had entered. Of course before leaving it alone, she muttered a protection charm. She didn't want to risk it being stolen, like it had been a few years ago. Aimee had had a fit trying to find that broom.
She quickly caught up to Mallan and heard him saying something about amazing. Assuming that he was talking about the Great Hall in general, she nodded, "Yeah, it is really pretty. The founders of Hogwarts really knew what they were doing. But then again, having magic probably made it a whole lot easier too." She winked at Mallan
After you
"Thanks." Aimee started to sit down on the bench of the long Gryffindor table. All four tables were starting to fill up with hungry students. She looked over at her company and caught him looking at her. "What?" She asked grinning.

He did not notice that Aimee had seen him until she asked ‘what’ and then he couldn’t help but smirk. He always had a polite manner and was never rude but he couldn’t help flirting either. Mallan knew that he was going to have to find a girl that was okay with him flirting with other girls. He knew that was rare though. His smirk turned into a smile as he replied and sat down.
Nothin’.
Sitting down, Mallan looked down the entire table length. The room was huge and the tables ran all the way through the span. The room was beginning to fill and Mallan knew that food would be served soon. Thinking of food made his stomach grumble and he actually noticed himself becoming light headed. He thought for a moment wondering when the last time he ate was but could not recall. “I wonder what they are serving tonight.” Mallan thought. He couldn’t get food off of his mind he was so hungry. He was curious about what she liked. The types of food people like sometimes told him about the person.
What do you hope they serve tonight?

What do you hope they serve tonight?
"Hmm, I really don't care as long as long as my stomach stops growling. I have to say though, I'm craving chicken to be honest." She smiled as her stomach rumbled once again. "What about you? You look like your about to starve."
People were still filling in as Aimee and Mallan conversed. All students seperated into four groups and the teachers walked up the rows to the high table. The ceiling of the Great Hall had snow falling from it again. Hmm, I guess it started again after we came in, Aimee thought. She liked the snow, but she just wished that it was about to snow and be warm outside at the same time.
"So how are you liking Hogwarts so far?" She asked. Aimee knew that Mallan was new and was curious as to what he thought about the school. "Is it anything like you expected?"

Patience was wearing thin as Mallan’s stomach fought him from the inside. Looking up and down the tables, Mallan waited to hear Aimee’s response. Realizing after a moment that he looked kind of ridiculous and impatient Mallan decided to distract himself by focusing on Aimee more, like he should be anyway. He was about to apologize when she spoke up.
Hmm. I’m so hungry I’m not sure I could decide. (Mallan chuckled but then figured out what sounded good) I think Italian sounds good. Perhaps chicken piccata and a light caesar salad.
Mallan noticed that Aimee was looking up and so he followed her eyes and then found what she was looking at. The great hall was snowing! Inside! Hogwarts always amazed him. Every time he thought there would be nothing more there was always something around the corner. The snow reminded him of a couple winters back home. Both in England and in Oregon it snowed. Mallan reminisced in the memories for a few moments before actually hearing Aimee’s question.
Oh, sorry. The snow made me think of home; it’s been a while and I kind of miss it. Hogwarts? It’s amazing. Every time I think I’ve seen everything this place has to offer it shocks me with something new. The whole magic of the place is astonishing. I was most definitely not prepared for such a different place than where I grew up. How about you; are you muggle-borne or have you always been surrounded with magic?
The whole muggle idea was still fairly new to Mallan and he didn’t quite understand why they felt like distinguishing themselves apart from the rest of humanity. He was curious as to what type of life Aimee was raised in and how it differed from his own. Mallan was thankful for the distraction and did not even notice his hunger. He sat there facing Aimee awaiting her response with a curious expression.
((ooc: Sorry about taking forever; I’ve no excuse. I’ll reply faster though. By the way, be my guest if you want to describe what kind of food they have prepared))

Relieved that the conversation had been steered away from food, Aimee looked back up at the ceiling. When Mallan started talking about home, warm thoughts floated into Aimee's head. Like Mallan, she missed home. Her father hadn't wrote her a letter in some time, so she had no news. Wondering how Mallan must be feeling being new to Hogwarts, she remininced for a moment, " Yeah, when I first came to Hogwarts, i didn't expect any of this. Of, course my dad showed me pictures and stuff, but..."
How about you; are you muggle-born or have you always been surrounded with magic?
"No, I've always been around magic. My dad is pure, but my mom was muggle-born, so I still haven't figured out what you would call me." She shrugged her shoulders as the food appeared. Even though she had been going to Hogwarts School for five years now, she still gasped when the food appeared. Whether it be out of amazement or shock, Aimee couldn't tell.
If one were to look down the table, it seemed as if the breads, meats, vegstables went on for a mile. All the seats at the four tables had been filled with hungry teens and pre-teens.
"What about you?" She asked while reaching for a scone, "Are you pure, muggle-born... half vampire?"
