What with D'rorah's disappearance, Dien had nothing to do for the day. He decided to visit his wife. He apparated to the front of a house. It was a very neat house, but something seemed wrong. He breathed nervously and heavily. He made sure he looked neat, and walked up to the front door on the neat-looking front patio. There was a glass table on the patio. It had two chairs. The patio itself was a pure shade of white. He looked at the crimson door, and looked down, his eyes closed. He pressed the doorbell and prepared himself for possibly the most emotional time of his death.

(ooc: I'm not Dee here, I'm playing the part of Dop's wife... so... yeah)
Teresa came to the door, feeling slightly confused. It was unusual for her to have visitors, especially unexpected ones. She laughed a bit at the thought that perhaps the muggle postman had once again picked the wrong house to make a delivery to. With a hint of laughter in her eyes, she opened the door and stopped in her tracks. Her expression shifted to one of shock as she stood in the door, uncertain of what to say or do. "Dien?" she asked, her eyes misting over. Why? she thought. Why, after I have spent so much energy trying to most past the memory would he pop up now, with no warning?
She blinked rapidly, pushing back tears. "Ummm... come in," she said, standing back from the door.

Dien smiled somberly, also holdng back tears. He took a step into the door, and walked into quite the familiar abode- she'd moved, but kept everything. "Teresa..." he said. One word, but it meant so many things... "I'm so sorry I left you. I had to... protect you. I never expected you'd end up in a Muggle neighborhood like this," he said, and smiled, turning back to her. She was still as radiantly beautiful as ever. "I got a job at Hogwarts. I'm the new Arithmancy teacher and..." he stopped himself. "So much stuff is going on. I had to come here and reconcile with you... I can't begin to explain it all. Remember Voldemort? There is a being that is far more evil than he, and I'm one of her main targets. It's probably even safer for you to stay here." His brow softened as he looked into her eyes.

Teresa smiled a bit. "I rather like the neighborhood, actually. It's nice... the people here are nice."
She fell into step beside him as they journeyed toward the sitting room. "What were you protecting me from? We could have faced it together. We were supposed to always be together, Dien." She clasped her hands in front of her, fighting off the urge to move toward him, knowing she would only wrap her arms around cold air. "And there's nothing more evil than Voldemort," she added. She looked up into his eyes and quickly looked away. "Dien, please... I... I've tried to move on. Why did you come back if we can't even be together? Why come here to torment me by saying you're leaving again, that I can't go with you? Hogwart's is one of the safest places in the wizarding world."
She looked down as a tear swelled in her left eye. She blinked it back, unwilling to cry again, and then looked up. Her gaze was questioning and her eyes still a bit misty as she held herself in check.

"I was tryng to protect you from my death. I'm.. so sorry." he nodded at her comment about Voldemort, sitting down as well as a ghost could on the couch. He waved at the candles on the table, and they lit. He put his hand on hers. "Voldemort himself answered to a higher, more evil power. And that person, who we have come to call the Shadow Mage, answers to an even higher power... but, anyway, Hogwarts is about the least safe place to ne right now. If you really want to know.." he sighed. "There are ten people that are required in order to defeat this Mage. There are Elemental Masters, all male, and Shadow Warriors, all female. Each pair has their own Element, that they can control... I know, it's crazy. The elements are Wind, Earth, Fire, Water, and Metal. I happen to somehow be the Master of Metal. We still have yet to find the Warrior of Earth..." he looked back at her. "I love you, Teresa. I don't want you hurt. I came here to tell you that," he coughed, instinctively rising his hand to his chest, "I will try, no matter if I have to do the impossible, I will try to get back to you."

"Don't do this!" replied Teresa, rising quickly from the couch. "Don't you understand?" she asked, her voice shaking with tears. "I don't want to have that hope raised again... to have that hope and see it dashed all over again, Dien. It's painful. It's just not fair." As she spoke, the tears she had been holding back began to escape from her eyes, trailing down her cheeks quietly. She turned to face him. "There's nothing in the world that would make me happier, Dien... but I just can't face the disappointment of building up my hopes for the impossible. I... I want to live my life while I'm still alive... I just don't know that I can wait forever." As she spoke the words, she could feel her heart wrench again. Dien had been her first and only true love... her heart had broken so many times since he had died... it had only been recently that she'd been able to put the pieces back together... only recently that her days had begun to slowly take on some semblance of a normal life. While part of her cried out to be with him, another part clung desperately to the small bit of happiness she'd been able to uncover on her own.

Dien stood up after her, taller by at least three inches. "Teresa... I'm not going to dash your hopes away..." tears were now streaming down his face. "I've gotten better- I'm less of a ghost, even. Ghosts aren't supposed to have emotion, and they have that ethereal mist... I don't any more! I love you. I wouldn't hurt you..." his brow furrowed and softened at the word 'hurt', "I'm going to come back to you, when it's all over, and things are better. After I help save the wizarding world. And we'll live happily ever after. I swear, on my grave, I will come back to you." he held her shoulders for a moment, then pulled in and hugged her.
He felt it. He didn't go through her.

Teresa listened, unwilling to interrupt. She could feel hope building inside of her. She cursed the hope, wishing she could just be left in peace. Suddenly, she felt hands on her shoulders. Her breath caught in her throat and she was nearly too surprised to breathe as she was pulled into a hug. "Oh... Dien" she spoke his name as though clinging to a lifeline. Her own arms wrapped around him, clinging tightly as more tears spilled down her cheeks. "Don't ever let go," she whispered quietly. "Please... just stay... right here," she asked, afraid the moment would never return if the embrace were to break. "Dien please..." she whispered his name, as though pleading with the world, as though her very existence depended on the small ray of hope that had suddenly blossomed in her heart.

Dien smiled through streaming tears, although she didn't see- he was still holding his arms around her, hugging with all his love. "I won't ever let go, Teresa. I can stay here, at least for the day. Nothing is really scheduled today, and I plan to spend what little time I have to the greatest..." he pulled out of the hug and turned it into a long kiss, "extent." He smiled and hugged her again. "I may be needed at any time, though.. the wizarding world, and probably the world as we know it, is depending partly on me. If I had the choice, I would stay here, with you, forever..." he sensed the ray of hope widening in her heart, her mind. "I love you."

Teresa's heart nearly stopped at the kiss. She buried her face in Dien's shoulder as he hugged her again. "Take me with you," she asked, whispering into his ear. "Don't leave me here alone... I've been here alone for so very long..." Tentatively, she ran a hand through his hair, she had always loved the way he kept his hair... "I can help you... whatever you're doing at Hogwart's... whatever these other Elemental Masters are doing..." she pulled him close and kissed him deeply, tears still streaming down her face. "I never thought I would see you again... I can't bear the thought of you leaving so soon... please, take me with you," she repeated, gazing up into his eyes, tears glistening in her own.

Dien was presented with a tough choice. "If I bring you with me, you wouldn't be as safe, and if I left you here, you'd be lonely..." he bit his lip. "If you really, really want to, I can take you with me. My office is very messy, though..." he nearly started crying again. "Bad things are afoot at Hogwarts. It's more dangerous now than it ever was... students aren't even allowed outside without accompanyment of a Professor. Dementors are the lowest ranking of the army that we're fighting against. Which I'm pretty sure is saying a lot." He smiled and looked at her, tears welling in his eyes. She was so beautiful, so great... he didn't want her to be harmed. But even visiting her raised the possibility... the Shadow Mage cold use her. Dien would put his own life in front of Teresa's. He took her with him to Hogwarts.
