Paragraph Format: Ivy Halliwell would not be described as a made up, she governs a very natural, captivating beauty. She wears minimal makeup, choosing a neutral pink, or red tone to her lips, usually a gloss which adds shine and sparkle. Her complexion is free from blemishes, and silky smooth. Her nails are ever manicured, and well kept, not too long, but not nail-biter short. If she were to become angry for any ungodly reason, her clenched fists would only leave lunar crevasses in her palms, save the ruddy aftermath of a superficial puncture. When Ivy swings her legs around her seat and rises for attendance, she comes to about 5 feet tall and nine inches added. When taking her seat once more, her dark blonde locks either undulate accordingly if their straight lengths are hanging freely, or bounce gently if she binds it up into a half bun or ponytail.
Ivy’s uniform is not bothersome to her at all, in fact, she relishes the preppy, almost ivy-league style it exudes. The top button to her white blouse is usually undone, her house tie seldom tightened to the throat, and her v-neck sweater always seeming to lose it’s sleeves. Her skirt, per Hogwarts dress code should be right at the knees, however, Ivy’s skirt seems to have an unruly tendency to never reach her knees, being always a couple inches above. The fact that this Seventeen year old Witch knows a thing or two about tailoring magic, makes her uniform altercations look flawless and almost as if she received them in such a manner. Though the dress code says nothing about tailoring the sweater, Ivy always defends the fact that she has long legs, and her skirt just never reaches. Her silky smooth legs do remain covered with the typical black stockings that all girls are required to wear, no exceptions, much to her chagrin. Finally at her feet, she would not wear such disgusting, chunky black shoes that she’s seen some other witches wearing, but instead she’ll wear a nice, stylish pump, with a thick heel of course. Traversing the stony, yet carpeted, halls of Hogwarts is never an easy moment for a girl wearing pumps. Though Ivy seldom wears jewelry, she has been seen wearing the odd choker every now and again, it’s skull emblem, bejeweled with emeralds as eyes, poking through her unbuttoned collar.
Ivy’s eyes are a strong Hazel color, with flecks of this and that intermingling with the rich amber color. The orifices which allow her eyes to shine through, are smaller, almond-esque, with usually black eye shadow to allow them to “pop”. She has a small nose that could be considered as “up-turned” which would further lead others to believe she would be a snob upon conversing with her. All in all, she has a rather quiet “dangerous” look about her which would definitely tell others non-verbally to keep an eye out for this one.
Personality: Ivy can be as sweet as cream to those she must enamor to gain headway. She’ll charm the pants off of her professors, and play nicely with others until her goal is in sight, and then she’ll rip through you like a wild beast trying desperately to get out of a paper bag. Thankfully nobody has really seen this side of her, yet, although she knows that she will make herself do whatever it is that she feels she must do to succeed. She’s not an unpleasant girl, as with most things that look sweet and innocent, however, she’s hardly the latter. She is two-faced.
Everything in the world is about her, and if its not, there is a problem. Being extremely self-centered doesn’t present itself as a problem to her, but to other people. She merely suspects that they are jealous because they are simply not her. After all, who wouldn’t want to be a pretty, seventeen year old witch that seems to have the whole package? Since every thought through her mind is primarily about herself, anytime she helps someone, there is ALWAYS an ulterior motive, something in it for her. If at any time she wants something but doesn't have the means to get it herself, she'll employ the fine art of manipulation, a craft that she had nearly perfected since childhood.
While her personality is basically vile and corrupt, she does have her human aspects about herself. She feels pain, and she hates that. Sometimes she lets her emotions get in the way of her self-centered brain. She’s the kind of person that when she thinks about her actions too much, she may back down. If she doesn’t just follow through quickly with what she plans, everything has the possibility of going up in smoke. She can feel pain, and might hesitate to hurt someone, but she will do what she has to do. If she can get by without causing harm, she will, but if not, unfortunately whomever is at the point of her wand should say their prayers.
History: Ivyria Halliwell was born on March 3rd, to Nathan and Alyria Halliwell. She was the joy they had been looking forward to. Although Nathan had banked on Ivy being a boy, he was delighted that he would have a precious little girl to spoil anyway. Alyria, or Aly as Nathan called her, worked in the Deptartment of Magical Transportation, regulating the Floo Network that was magically intermingled with thousands of hearths across the country. Nathan was stationed in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Department on Level Four: Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. With a newborn baby, Alyria decided to let Nathan be the workhorse and she stayed home with her beautiful baby girl. This didn't last very long, and eventually Nathan took a step back and let Alyria jump back on at her old position, now allowing Nathan to spend time with his daughter.
As Ivy grew, she got the best of both parents as they merry-go-rounded their free time. By the time she was four, her parents had sorted out their work-mess, and figured out that if they were going to successfully work this out, one of them would have to stay with Ivy, and it was the mother who took that role. Now a stay at home mom, Alyria gave her daughter the love she would need to nurture and grow. Unfortunately for Ivy, her mother became pregnant again, and her curious questions about what was happening to her mommy went on without cessation. "Why's mommy's tummy so big?" was met with "Because she's baking you a baby sister." was what she was met with. From that point on, Ivy would spend a significant portion of her life being obsessed with baking, leading her to be excellent in the craft of potion-making.
When her brother was born, the very thing that happens to all young children when another one comes into the limelight, happened to her; jealousy. Although she grew to love her baby brother, she secretly despised him from taking away her attention that she got from their parents. Of course this childish mindset evaporated soon enough, and before long Ivy was taking care of Cal, although she may have been guilty of many resentful thoughts, she still did so with love none-the-less.
As she grew a bit older, and came to understand that her family was different from other families, the status of blood purity was something that triggered angered thoughts. It was a topic that made her feel entirely inadequate when discussing with her friend Julia, as she spoke of how pure her family's blood was, and that her daddy says that anyone who's not pure, is either a mudblood, or a half-blood-- which could be just as bad in the mind of a confused child. This was a turning point in Ivy's life, for it became a moment where she had constructed a a facade of lies that she has been building on ever since. That day, she lied not only to Julia, but to herself, actually making herself believe that she was superior to other witches and wizards, when in reality she was only a half-blood witch.
Ivy despised herself after her conversations with Julia, and began to inquire to her parents about blood status. "Does that mean my magic will be less strong, Daddy?" She would ask. He would look at her with such confusion on his face and then explain to her that blood status does not make the Witch any more powerful than her strive to succeed. So now, Ivy was lying about her blood status, but with the information her father gave her, she would push herself past her limits to get what she wanted.
Her friend Julia was not a great influence on her, as she came from a family of Deatheaters, and she would always impose upon Ivy her Ideals and murmurings of things she heard while roaming the corridors of her house. For some reason, Ivy wanted that life, and resented her family for not being the family that Julia had.
Finally that magical day came when she was accepted into Hogwarts, and she could breathe a sigh of relief. Now she could be recognized as a Witch, she would go and learn her craft, and with her father's words of wisdom, she would succeed and be the best witch in Hogwarts, even if she had to do a couple of things that most wouldn't dare. She kept her self-proclaimed pureblood status and adopted a very unfortunate attitude against those who were open about not being pure. In a hypocritical manner, she would taunt and tease fellow classmates, and even at one point was harassing a first year girl for being a mud-blood. None of her professors caught on, as she can be very manipulative and convincing with her acts. "Professor, I don't know what you're talking about, I would never use such a filthy word..." And with a flutter of eyelashes, and pouting of her pink glossed lips, her professors seemed to believe her. Finding that this incident was quite easy to get herself out of, this created a monster in her, desiring to test the waters for what other things she would be capable of getting away with...
She had crossed paths with an agent of Darkness, and probably sensing the evil that she could be capable of, he decided to flag her down and notify her of their cause. Ivy did not know what to do at first. She wasn't evil. Just mischievous. So what if she made other girls cry, or acted like she owned some people, or got her way out of detentions and pinned blame on other students for things she had concocted, was she evil? She did take a day or two to think on it, for she was unsure of whether or not she was capable of doing some of the things that the agent had explained might be necessary of her. Finally hearing her father's voice in her head, she accepted her destiny, and became an agent of the mage herself.
Now at Hogwarts, in her 7th year, she has grown into quite the deadly viper in the guise of a pretty teenage girl. Her mission: Destroy the Lightfighters.
