Liam Has never really had much of a relationship with his parents, seeing as they died before he could get any memories of them. His mother's sister Agnes took him in first, but she soon found that, even at age two, Lee was far too much for one woman to handle, so she handed him off to her brother Tobi. Tobi, and his wife Elaine, took the boy under their wing for a few years but were forced to give him to Adrian's parents when they found out that Elaine was pregnant. They lost the child, and because of it Elaine shot herself square between the eyes. Lee's grand-parents are good people, always seeming to know just what their grand-sons up to, no matter where he is. Adrian and Freda, or Gramps and Gram to Lee, are the closest thing to parent's he's ever had. Gramps is much like Lee, fun-loving and adventurous, even at the ripe age of seventy he finds himself in binds that even Houdini would be afraid to attempt. Gram, on the other hand, is very calm and collected, and strict, strict as hell. Lee's spent most of his childhood sneaking around her with Gramps, just to see if they can do it, so far the results have been mixed.
Height: 5'11”
Weight: 128 lbs.
Hair: Blue (DYED), Brown (Natural), Shoulder length, Straight (By magical means)
Eyes: Crimson, bright, round, inquisitive, deceptive
Skin Colour: Light, no tan, Caucasian
Clothing style: Dark colored, usually loose fitting and comfortable, lots of chains and straps,
Accessories: A large combat knife which he uses in place of a wand (Family heirloom.)
Other: Smokes cigarettes and a bit of a pyro.
Paragraph Format: Lee is a tall, rather skinny young man with, what would normally be called, a strange sense of style. He dyes his hair blue (html color code: #0404B4) and keeps it straight with a spell he picked up from Gram, otherwise his hair would be a tangled, unmanageable mess. His eye's a trait picked up from his father's family, the Harvesters. It's said to be the last sign of an ancient pact with some magical creature; the details aren't clear on what creature exactly or even what the terms of the agreement were, but as far back as is recorded every male Harvester has had this odd trait. At first glance, his eyes seem to be that of a lier or traitor, but upon closer inspection, a person can uncover that they are purely inquisitive, with a flare of mischief.
His skin is tan-less, although not pale, and you could probably tell he doesn't spend to much time outside during the day, when he can avoid it. He likes to wear comfortable clothes that, although don't sag down to his knees, are quite loose-fitting. He prefers bondage pants to jeans, but if the jeans are comfortable, or practical, he'll wear em. Instead of a wand, he uses an old family heirloom, which was once a short sword during the 12th century. Over the years, it's been passed from father to son, or in Lee's case, Grand-father to Grand-son, and each who's had it, and used it, has changed it, in some way. It's current form is a combat knife, with a single-edged blade about a foot and a half long and two feet overall, with a simple, spiked hand guard extending out and around where the knuckles would presumably be. It's unknown whether or not it has a core, although it most likely that it does, but, either way, since Liam's a klutz with a wand, he uses it to direct his spells. Of course, no teacher at Hogwarts would let a student carry a weapon of any sort, as long as you don't count wands, and so Lee is forced to use a wand in classes, although he's never without his trusty blade; which is almost always hidden on his calf or in a boot.
Personality: Liam is a black sheep in a group of flamingos. He's never fit in with the
"In-crowd" and likes it that way. He's never very careful when it comes to his own life or well being. He's rather unkempt but, when he has to, cleans up pretty nice. He's a chain smoker and a pyromaniac. He'll light things on fire for no particular reason but he also makes sure he doesn't endanger the lives of others. He's a an over-achiever but he's also a person who down grades his work and criticises himself very rather harshly.
He doesn't find classes too interesting, and usually gets bad grades, but he's a smart young man none-the-less. He loves trouble, or more accurately, he loves the things that get him into trouble. He's never been one for rules, and see's them more as guide-lines than actual rules; guide-lines that he, as long as he's not under a watchful eye, completely ignores. He doesn't have the ability to put things gently, or at least lacks the care too, and has a tendency make things sound a little rougher than they really are. He's still kind though, and would do almost anything for a friend, especially since his are few and far-between.
He's got a tough shell to crack, on the outside seeming to be a cold-hearted, devil-eyed monster, but once you get through that thin veil and see him for who he really is, you'll find him to be a very caring, loving, thoughtful person, and it's easy to fall in love with this person, seeing as he is very affectionate. Although, with his scatter brained habits, and the ability to forget something five minutes after he's heard it, it's hard for him to hold down a relationship. He has hopes of joining the Ministry as a Hit Wizard, but has a back up plan if that falls through; which is basically the same thing without the ministry leaning over his shoulder the whole time. He likes to do things “His Way,” often forsaking any caution or procedure just to get down to the nitty-gritty as soon as possible. He likes getting his hands dirty, in more ways than one, and doesn't like to have people do things for him. It makes him feel like a burden, or an obstacle, which he doesn't like at all.
History:
Liam was born in a small town in the U.S. To a Pure-Blood and a Muggle, Adrian Mathias III and Lisa Amanda. Adrian's family had never been one of power in the magical world, although the pride in their name, and their heritage, was almost unmatched. Despite this fact, they were very fun-loving and accepting people with few enemies, and many friends. It was a tragedy, when Adrian and Lisa were killed, Lisa had died in a car wreak and Adrian hadn't been able to deal with the sorrow, so he took his own life. This was when Agnes took guardianship of Lee, but after only a few weeks, found that the young boy was far too much for her to handle.
This is when Lee's aunt and uncle, Elaine and Tobi, took him under their wing. They'd been wanting a child, and had been unable to reproduce. They treated Lee like a son, and Lee was happy. Until the time he was 10, he lived with them. Elaine had gotten pregnant, and Lee had decided that it was time to move on, let them raise their child unhindered. After a few arguments, and a phone call to his Grand-parents in London, Liam was allowed to go to London to live with his Grand-parents. Elaine's pregnancy, however, didn't go over well and she miscarried. She took her life, and Tobi fell off the map.
Meanwhile, in London, Lee had begun preparing for school at Hogwarts, something he had never thought would be possible, let alone known had existed. Whilst he learned that he was like an infant with a butcher knife when it came to wands. It wasn't until his 3rd year that he got his replacement, the old family knife, said to once have been used in one of the wizard wars, Liam's not sure which one. Before he started using the knife, he had started a fair number of catastrophes in, and out of class. Since he's started using the knife in place of a wand, however, his skill has been vastly improved, although, with a wand, he still has quite a few accidents. He spent his first few years at the school as the out-cast bookworm, but found in the 4th year that trouble was so much more fun. He's stuck to the outskirts of crowds though, trying to keep an eye on whats going on but staying out of the action.
His last few years at Hogwarts, if you were to look at his grades, would seem to be almost a complete failure, despite the fact that he's made sure to give him self enough leeway to pass at the end of the year. Out-side of class his life has gone rather well, with his Gram giving up on trying to get him to quit smoking, along with the discovery of three new secret passages over the years, including accidentally stumbling upon the Room of Requirements some time last year. It has become, somewhat, of a sanctum of solitude since he figured out how to get in. He spends much of his days, and nights, in his secret little room, hidden away beyond the veil on the 6th floor. He's been threatened with expulsion more times then he cares to remember, but he's gotten lucky almost as many times, and has been allowed to continue his education at the school.
This year, however, is going to be hell. He's been trying to get his final high mark on his O.W.L.s to qualify for the career he wants. He's gotten 4 out of the total 5 that he needs, so far the only problem he's had is with potions. The class has whooped him every year so far, and, for him, is the wizard's equivalent of trigonometry. He's barely passed the class each year, and has caused more disasters in that class than probably almost anyone in the history of Hogwarts, once even causing a chain reaction between his and every other cauldron in the class room, causing them all to simultaneously explode.
