It had been a long morning and it was only seven o'clock. She'd been up for at least two hours, if not more, and she hadn't gotten to sleep until nearly midnight. The night was the worst, shadows looming over her, filling her with a sense of dread. When she was finally able to slip into sleep, it was plagued with nightmares.
With a sigh she slipped out of the common room and headed for the hospital wing in search of a pepper-up potion. There was no way that she could get through another day like this, so it was really her only choice.
To lift her spirits she'd worn her longer skirt with the lace along the trim, bloomers underneath, out of sight. She was wearing her fancier white blouse with the Ravenclaw blue ribbons around the short sleeves, and a solid Ravenclaw blue sweater vest. Her stockings were a soft white, her shoes of choice black oxfords. Her hair was pulled back into a single long pony tail, held back with ribbons of the same color as her vest. Her scars were visible as always, but they were finally starting to look as though they were healing, some how she didn't mind them nearly as much anymore.
As she stepped into the Hospital wing she stopped to look around. After a moment she continued in, looking around now for someone to help her out. "Is anyone here?"

Kang had still not been at Hogwarts for long, and the time difference was not something he was quite used to yet. As such he had led some rather unusual office hours, having some light naps during the day when he was meant to be working and just making sure a bell went off in his room whenever someone entered the infirmary to wake him up. He didn't want to give the headmistress any excuse to dismiss him. At the moment though, he was awake despite the early hour and was sorting through some potions.
Hearing the ring that alerted him to people entering the hospital wing, he rose from his seat and quickly pulled on a shirt and buttoned it up – he had not quite finished dressing from sleeping earlier. As he heard a call from the hospital wing he stepped out of his office just as he finished doing the buttons up, smiling across at the Asian girl who had entered. [teal]"Ohayou gozaimasu,"[/teal] he greeted her, using up his little knowledge of Japanese he had learnt from a woman a few years older than him in a club one night in Yinchuan. His eyes immediately sought out the scars on her arms and recognised them as remnants from shadow injuries. Was she one of those lightfighters at Hogwarts? He could not remember D'rorah mentioning a Japanese girl as being among their ranks.
[teal]"Can I help you?"[/teal] he asked with a smile, his eyes flicking back up to her face again. He doubted she would appreciate his staring, and there was little he could do about those scars for now anyway – he didn't have his potions or anything with him to make them fade.

"Ohayou gozaimasu. Can I help you?"
She had been looked around the room in hopes that someone who come out an assist her. Sure enough, someone a appeared from the office and her first reaction was surprise. She hadn't met this new person who seemed to be in charge of the hospital wing and caught slightly off guard. After all he was only a bit older than herself, and he was not at all bad looking either.
"Ohayou gozaimasu." She responded to him with a bow. "Hajimemashite, Tien desu. Doozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu. Hai, I came in hopes of gaining a pepper-up potion... I... have not been sleeping well."
She looked down after she said the last, not wanting to really think about what was causing her sleep troubles at the moment. After a moment she peeked up through her bangs and surveyed him more closely. She wondered when he'd arrived and where he'd come from. She could tell from his accent that he wasn't Japanese, more than likely he was from somewhere in China.
_______________ I threw in the actual Japanese hiragana since I`m on a computer with the ability. Kang noticed the surprise in her expression and only partly hid a smile at her reaction to seeing him. He was used to that expression by now, despite having only been here for a week or so. It didn't surprise him too much; after all, he was only four year older than the oldest students here and didn't look like it. He was more than qualified, though, and so far had been able to convince the students who had questioned his abilities out loud that he was actually qualified and could heal them just as well as the old nurse.
He blinked in alarm when she responded in Japanese – and after the first two words which he had used anyway, he had no idea what she was trying to say. Perhaps demonstrating his Japanese had been a bad idea. [teal]"What exactly did you say before that? The Japanese? I don't know that much, just a few words,"[/teal] he told her with a wry smile, as he turned to check the shelves for a set of pepper-up potions of varying strength as he gestured her to sit down on the closest bed.
[teal]"I'm Ka- uh, Mister Xiu,"[/teal] he corrected himself. He wasn't used to such formal modes of address in the monastery and had to keep reminding himself. [teal]"How long have you been having this trouble for?"[/teal] he asked. [teal]"And what form does it take? Unable to get to sleep, stay asleep, wake up too early?"[/teal]
