Alright, so here's the announcement you've all been dying to hear, I'm sure. As you may or may not have noticed, the Headmistress recently lifted the ban restricting students from the grounds. Currently, students are allowed access to the grounds between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
SO! Now that you are allowed some access to the grounds, it's time to begin Quidditch tryouts. Please reply with your information here if you are interested. Prefects will be selecting team captains who will be in charge of holding practices and such

C'mon guys! Isn't quidditch supposed to be the sport that binds the wizarding world together or some-such-nonsense? As it is, we barely have enough to make one consolidated Hogwart's team!
I'm going to leave this up just a bit longer. We can always start the year out with one quidditch team that represents all of Hogwart's (maybe we play against Durmstrang and Beauxbatons?)... I know it deviates from the books a bit... but perhaps a lot of changes have taken place over the past several years. And, as we find more players, we can begin breaking up into house teams and have games against one another.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Considering we have just over 70 members, a large proportion of which are students... I have no idea why we don't have more applications, to be honest Maybe a PM to every student?

can't we just make up pretend people for the teams....and use whatever real people we have? and then if more people join the boards and wish to be on the team, we can replace the NPC's with PC's.... eh?

Alessandro does have a good point. but if it is needed i shall also play....
Slytherin 5th year Chaser would probably be best. although she would probably excel at keeping as well. Keaira has had a broom since she was about 6 i think.. although I'm not sure.. ((can't remember my own background)) Shes always had fun flying around with her little sister in her fathers estate.
So if its needed i will play...

I like Alessandro's idea. I'm going to let you and Dylan duke it out for Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain then! Have fun! Other houses, PM your prefects if you're interested in being quidditch captain for your house. Captains will be responsible for making sure there are enough NPC's in each game to make a full team for their side... you don't have to play them all, but you have to make sure someone is assigned to play them.

Name: Jason Cruz House: Gryffindor Year: 4th Position Desired: Probably Chaser. Definitely not Seeker. Experience: Precisely none. He knows how to fly (he has been at Hogwarts for 3 years) but has spent no time, outside of traditional instruction, flying. He knows he'd be terrible at Seeker with his poor vision, but would like to try Chasing or Keeping. Maybe Beating if that was the only position available. Really this is more an attempt to be social and get to know people. He doesn't particularly expect to be chosen but works hard at improving leading up to and during his try out.

Name: Blake Gallagher House: Gryffindor Year: 4th Position desired: Team Captain or Keeper Any previous experience: Well, Blake isn't one to brag, but he is pretty good with a broom. He is an expert maneuverer and can keep pace with the best of Hogwarts' Quidditch players. He can take pain and has learned from the time he has played with friends in the courtyard.
