Damian was the first in the Great Hall that morning. No one, no teachers, no students, even the house ghosts were nowhere to be found. He sat alone at the far end of the Slytherin table, checking off items in a small black book. Breakfast was yet to be served so he sat in silence, watching the sun rise on the ceiling of the enchanted room. As the light hit him, his garmets were exposed. He wore jet-black robes with silver patterns on the sleeves. His hair was let down and hung loosely about his face.
A small group of Ravenclaws entered the Hall, and as if on cue, the tables of the Great Hall were piled with breakfast foods. Damian watched as more and more people arrived at breakfast. He shook the hair from his eyes but it stubbornly fell back into place. He waved at a Sixth year girl whom he had studied with earlier in the week. Public relationships were important if he wanted to keep his identity.
When he was finished eating, he rose from his seat and straitened out his robes before moving to exit the hall. He smiled slightly as a group of first years scattered to get out of his way as he passed. He was just reaching the doors when someone called his name. He paused and looked around for the voice who had called.

Alessandro entered the Great Hall with a couple of other students from his house. The Hall was beautifully done with a brilliant azure blue sky with tufts of white, fluffy clouds, a perfect contrast to a gray and rainy day outside.
The tables were laden with breakfast meats, bangers, bacon, ham, biscuits, hotcakes, waffles, and Alessandro's favorite, eggs benedict. He and one of his friends sat down chatting about how things were going in their classes. It was a nice release from all this shadows, and elemental master business. They ate their breakfast somewhat more quickly than they should have, failing to chew properly before swallowing, his friend began to choke.
Knowing the remedy to this simple problem, he whipped out his wand and performing a simple upward flick, he exclaimed the incantation. "Anapneo!" In a flash, the wad of half masticated ham flew from his friends throat and into the air, landing on the table, inducing some Ravenclaw disgust.
They finished their breakfast and his friend ran off to his class. As he looked up to wave goodbye, he noticed Damian and remembered their meeting in the hall outside Myrtle's Bathroom the other night.
"Oy! Damian!" He stood up and collected his things and turned to face him. "Damian, wait up!" He called out as he began to make his way over to him.

Damian turned and saw Alessandro swimming through a pool of first years, patiently making his way toward him. It had only been a day or so since the last time they talked. Hopefully Darko had had time to reflect on Damian's proposal. He stood aside for a tall dark haired girl to pass, and motioned Alessandro to follow him just outside the doors of the Hall.
He waited until no one was around and looked Alessandro straight in the eyes. Damian's Painfully-Blue eyes bored into the heart and soul of Alessandro, leaving him a mental note, "I understand that you do not want me just to intrude upon your mind, but right now this is the only safe why to communicate." He spoke mentally. He felt a change in Darko but ignored it, continuing. "Have you thought about my offer? Help and be helped."
He waited, keeping Darko's eyes on his. He had to reply secretly. If anyone found out and the information got into the wrong hands, then Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic would both be vulnerable to the Shadows.

He finally reached Damian through a crowd of first years and he followed him just outside the doors of the Great Hall. He watched as he stared into his eyes with his own electric blue eyes. He felt the tingling sensation that usually meant a mental link, but this time did not get upset as he heard Damian speak in his mind.
He continued to stare back at him and began to transmit his response. Yes, I will agree to help you, I am in no position to deny help, as I have a couple of trials and tribulation awaiting me as an elemental master. Anything you need, I shall be of service. Alessandro thought.
Noticing that they had just been standing there, staring into each other's eyes, Alessandro broke his gaze as three Hufflepuff's walked by chattering loquaciously. He coughed and began to speak.
"So...You goin' out for quidditch?" He asked as he watched the Hufflepuffs go by. "Sorry, it would have just looked suspicious having us just stare at eachother not speaking..." He explained.

Damian hadn't thought about this. He forgot that here, unlike in the ministry, people really cared about personal appearance. The last thing he needed for his cover was a rumor that he was sweet for Alessandro, so he averted his eyes and pretended to test his wand. I keep forgetting the social rules are far more complicated in school. he thought to himself. But Darko had to give him more information if they were going to get anywhere with this.
"OK, maybe we should talk in a more private location, there are too many wandering eyes and ears. " he said, just loud enough for a bunch of nosy 5th years to hear and scurry away, looking over their shoulders as they went.
'I don't really know this castle that well, where could we go?" he asked, still avoiding his eye.

Alessandro thought for a moment. There were a million places he could think of that would give them privacy to discuss their business. He had become partial to using the Ballroom for private patronus sessions and anger relief, however, both times he was discovered by either a professor or prefect. The room of requirement... He thought as he was sure that it would ensure their safety as well as privacy.
"We could go to the sixth floor...." Alessandro said without revealing his complete thought. He began to walk down the corridor toward the main stairwell that was bewitched by magic to change every so often.
He noticed Damian had avoided his gaze all the while. He turned to face him as he had made his way four feet towards the stairwell. "Come on then, if we hurry, we can catch an easy path before the stairs shift!" He urged Damian with a wave of his hand.
