Shawn stumbled up to the portrait and eyed it angrily. "I don't remember the password!" She groaned, loudly, looking at the picture with disdain. There was no response, and she sat there for a moment, trying to wake up her mind. She'd fallen asleep in the library, and found when she woke that it was almost two am. She needed to get some sleep. "Snakey serpents!" Such a silly password. But at least it wasn't too difficult.
Walking into the dark common room, she stiffled a yawn with her hand. The lights were already out, and she couldn't see anything. The fire was mere dying embers, but it was enough to point her in the direction of where the couch would be. Snaking over, she collapsed on it.

Gat was fast asleep on the couch. Another nightmare was happening as usual. He squirmed and slided on the couch. Then he was woken up.
"Who...." Then he saw a girl, sitting on him.
"Get off!" he said while shaking his legs violently. When he had escaped from the intense crushing that was her buttocks he sat up quickly. With anger in his voice he spoke.
"What the heck are you doing. Watch where you put that elephant hide would you." Gat said with a sneer on his face.

Oooh, she was so not in the mood for this. Standing to her full height- that being only 5'4- she glared at the man she couldn't see in the darkness. This actually made her feel more powerfull than vulnerable. If he couldn't see her, than he wouldn't know she was just some short girl with messed up hair.
Crossing her arms over her chest, she scoffed at the still unseen person. "Well, why don't you drag your ass down the hall when you go to sleep?" She countered, an almost identical sneer on her face. Not that she would know how similar it was to his. But it was one of those things a trained person might be able to hear.

Gat noticed that he was sitting in a pool of blood. He groaned. 'It has happened again!' He thought to himself. Every night at midnight, he would fall unconscious with his eyes still open. Until exactly one o'clock. Then everything would be normal. He attempted to stand, though his legs swayed under his weight. He was suffering from bloodloss and was in a daze. He collapsed on the ground. He couldn't think straight.

Shawn cocked her head and paused. Taking out her wand, she whispered "Alohamora" into the darkness. Kneeling, her dark eyes widened as she took in the boy's state. Completely forgetting the battle of sarcasm, she tried to figure out where the blood was coming from. Without success. "Sectumsestra." She moved her wand over his body, hoping that the spell worked. It had been created by her own mother, over the years when she'd been teaching Shawn. There was several spells that only the two of them knew. This one was supposedly going to restore the normal amount of blood in the boy's body. Stroking some hair out of his eyes, she held the tip of her wand between their faces. "Erm... are you alright?" Silly question...

"Whats it to you?" He said stubbornly. He attempted to push her away. He did not want help. His ears were slightly covered in blood. Just pushing her away was a huge effort. He would not let anyone help him. He would not let anyone else carry his burden. It was the stubbornness he was brought up with. Because of this he normally hated to be helped.
"Get away from me." He said angrily.

She was tempted to lean back and scream at him that she would just leave. However, that little part of her- the part that refused to see anyone in pain, if she could help it- clenched her jaw and made her ignore his comment completely. If he wanted her gone, he'd have to prove he was strong enough to force her away. Using the tip of her wand, she examined him some more.
"So, I take it that you aren't okay. What the Hell happened anyway?" Not that she expected more than a snappy retort. She was brushing back his hair and looking around him for some sort of wound she couldn't find.

"So, I take it that you aren't okay. What the Hell happened anyway?"
No matter how Gat shoved, she would not leave him alone. He pulled out his wand and HUGE wing sprouted from his back knocking her away. Before retracting again into his back.
"I said, LEAVE ME ALONE!" He shouted. His voice was filled with dangerous intent. He was no longer bleeding. He did not need help. Though he was willing to hurt this girl if she persisted. He got into a dueling position before his legs buckled and fell from under him. He cursed himself for not being strong enough.

Ow. Her head collided with one of the tables and she groaned. Dammit, this always happened. Try and be the nice one. The helpful one. Try and not let people die. And how do you get thanked? By being thrown across a room by… a big giant, black wing? What the Hell? With a sighed, Shawn pulled herself to her feet and glared, half-heartedly, at the guy.
“Chill. Out.” She told him, gripping her own wand as well. She didn’t want to fight him. He wouldn’t let her help him. She’d done all she could, and she didn’t know if that had done anything at all. “I’ll leave. Just trying to play the part of a Good Samaritan. Sue me why don’t you?” Walking back over to where he… erm, kneeled/laid, she reached down and picked up her messenger bag.
Turning, she walked a few feet away before stopping. It seemed as if she was going to say something more, but she thought better of it and continued on her way to the Girl’s Dorm. Dammit… he got the couch…

Gat was no longer listening. 'Did I ask for your help?' Gat thought to himself angrily. He was panting slightly at the effort. He pointed his wand in the direction of the blood and muttered.
"Scorgio" The blood disappeared instantly. He did not want to stay up any longer. His head was killing him. There were pains shooting through his body. He could not easily stand. It took a huge amount of effort. He heaved himself up, using the couch for support and pulled himself to the boys dormitory.
