((ooc: lol I know the title is kinda corny but thats the only one i could think of ;D)
Carrying the letter with her up the steps to the headmistresses office. The smile on her face indicated that she was very happy to finally meet the person employing her. She had dressed in her second best robes and her hair fell in small curls around her face.
Finally reaching the wooden door, she knocked politely and waited for the door to open. I wonder what she's like.. She wondered about the headmistress. She stuffed the letter into a pocket on her robes, one that could be easily reached in case Claira wanted to have it.

(OOC: I'd love to join this little 'meeting the headmistress' thread. I'll go ahead and do a post, but if you all already have plans for what's to happen here, let me know and I'll be happy to delete it!)
It seemed that since she arrived at Hogwarts, Kailee was unable to do anything in a timely manner. Of all things to be late for, the last she looked forward to was arriving late for her first official meeting with the headmistress. "Of all days to be late...." she cursed herself under her breath as she headed up the stairs to the office she had been directed to.
Only moments before she had been chest-deep in old tombs, stacked upon her desk. History of Magic was neither her favorite subject, nor one she had much background with. She has spent the morning struggling to decide where to begin when she noticed the time. Her hair was back in a tight ponytail and her robes were rather ordinary. Kailee thought to herself that perhaps a stop to her room to change would have been a prudent choice, but instead she continued on her way.
She lifted her head as she reached the office door and avoided nearly toppling over one of her co-workers. She was familiar with her from walks about the castle, but had not yet had the pleasure of her acquaintance. Too many hours spent in her office, pouring over text and materials.
"Pardon me, are you also having tea with the headmistress?"

Caira heard a knocking at the door followed by a questioning voice in the hallway. Standing from her seat, she reached for her wand to open it. “Sorry the door took so long to open ladies. I was just in the middle of a thought and I was afraid I would lose it completely if I didn’t write down the last few words. Please please, come in.”
She led the way to a pair of chairs by the fireplace. Looking briefly from the chairs to the two ladies who had joined her for tea, she flourished her wand and conjured a third chair. “Make yourselves comfortable.” She poured cups of tea for each of them from an elegant silver teapot into delicate porcelain cups. On a small round table in the middle of the three chairs was a tray of the finest pastries and sweets from the kitchens. She approached the two teachers with a cup of tea resting on a saucer for each of them. “So Evie, Kailee, I’m so glad you’re both here today. And please, just Caira… I never did understand why everyone seems bound and determined to change my name to Headmistress around here.” She gave a playfully exasperated laugh at this last statement.

"Oh, I'm sorry! Excuse me." Evie said as a body almost ran into her. She looked up and saw it was the History of Magic professor. Evie had taken the position of Herbology professor after her resignation, "Yes. I am." She answered in reference to her co-workers had asked, "You are Kaylee Faye, right?" Evie smiled and stuck out her hand for a shake.
As the introduction took place, the big oak door flew open in front of them.
“Sorry the door took so long to open ladies. I was just in the middle of a thought and I was afraid I would lose it completely if I didn’t write down the last few words. Please please, come in.”
Evie heard her employer aoplogize, "That's quite alright." Evie said, her French accent floating across the room as she followed Claira to a pair of comfy looking chairs. Evie smiled at Claira's commment about her name, Well at least she has a sence of humor. Evie thought happily.

Kailee had nodded, assuringly as the yet-to-be-named fellow professor correctly identified her. Not a good sign, she thought to herself... Worried that perhaps some kind of reputation had preceded her. She was just about to shake hands in greeting when the door opened revealing the headmistress.
She became part of the short train that made its way into the office. Her eyes flicked about the room, taking in the details. The headmistress invited them to make themselves comfortable. "Thank you," was all that Kailee could manage as she took a seat at one of the chairs around the table. She watched as the tea was poured with ease; an act which escaped her, but that was another story. In her next statement, the headmistress revealed two names which Kailee made note to keep to memory: Evie and Caira.
Caira's attitude was calm and collected. She was very inviting and friendly. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you Caira, and you as well Evie." Kailee spoke with a calm and gentle voice. She gently picked up one of the delicate cups of tea and took a small sip.

“Yes, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you both,” she replied with a warm smile. Her manner was somewhat bubbly, but properly subdued to suit a Headmistress of Hogwart’s. “Oh, I want to hear all about how you’re both finding Hogwart’s, ladies. How are classes going and your students… just everything!” An enthusiastic gleam lit her eyes. “I feel like I’ve been shut up in this office and everyone’s a little afraid to come see me or talk to me, so I want to make sure all of the staff knows that I’m always available to talk to you and help with anything I can.”
She gestured to a tray laden with finger-sized tarts and pastries. “Please, help yourselves. As always, the house elves have outdone themselves.” She smiled and settled back into her chair after selecting a cherry tart.

Evie smiled, "I'm very glad to meet you both to." She made herself comfortable in her squishy armchair, resisting the urge to sit cross legged. She straightened her robes about her and took in the surrounding room.
"No, thank you. I've had a little cold here lately and can't eat sweets." Evie said sadly. She had a bit of a sweet tooth and was very disappointed, as they looked very good.
Evie sipped on her tea and waited for the conversation to begin. She wasn't as nervous as she had been before about meeting the headmistress. She was very happy that Kailee had joined them, it made her a little more comfortable knowing that Kailee had been summoned here the same as Evie.

Kailee smiled as the Ciara and Evie exchanged pleasantries. It was certainly not to be the meeting wrought with foreboding that she had expected. She politely waved shook her head, refusing the tray of sweets, "I'll never fit into my robes if I do... I'd forgotten how gourmet the house elves' food can be."
"Actually, aside from meals, I haven't had a lot of time to meet with students or other teachers; preparing for my first class has taken quite a bit of time," there was a heaviness to her voice that was unexpected and unnatural for someone who was typically so cheery. "I'm afraid History of Magic is not exactly what I would call my strong suit," as she finished, she took a napkin from the table a pressed it gently to her lips, blotting a bit of stray tea. "Pardon me, I do believe I am doing all of the talking... What about you Evie? How are you finding the greenhouses?"

Caira listened politely as the two teachers chatted back and forth. This sort of amicable fellowship was exactly what she had intended. She hoped to make the other teachers feel warm and welcome around her. Her hope was that, once they did, she would inspire more open communication among the faculty, and specifically, towards her. She had been a bit put out of late with the fact that no one seemed comfortable telling her anything. That sort of closed communication would make her job at Hogwarts impossible.
“Well, whenever a new position opens, I will be certain to consider you for it, Kailee,” replied Caira with the smile still on her face. “I really appreciate that you’ve stepped into the role. I know it wasn’t really your interest.” As Kailee shifted the conversation back to Evie, Caira’s gaze moved back to her as well.
