Walking silently towards Professor Archer, his head was downcast. Despite this, out of the corner of his eye, he managed to catch D'rorah still standing in the room. She was not making any movements to leave the class. Turning his attention back to the professor, his head remained bowed as he shuffled his feet nervously, a strange action in its own right for Dylan.
He hoped that his punishment, not to mention Alessandro's, wasn't too severe. Expecting perhaps a few months worth of detentions, he quickly stopped himself from grimacing as he thought of the impact that might have on his Quidditch. Knowing he shouldn't even consider worrying about such a thing when, quite possibly, he was about to be expelled. As this thought came to him, he gulped nervously.

Keaira was slightly upset at the abrupt turn of the class, things had been going well, until Alessandro had asked to leave, and then, all hell broke loose. Keaira shuffled a little, slowly collecting her items. It occurred to her that Gat was a Slytherin, and this attack could result in a major point drop,, but that wasn’t her main concern. Alessandro was in a lot of trouble. In fact so much that Keaira seemed a bit worried he might not make it to her departure. She made a point to linger with every movement, hoping to hear that Alessandro wouldn’t suffer too much of a punishment. Particularly considering that he had only retaliated due to a direct attack from a dark spell.
When he let the lock of hair fall it hit Keaira that he was a bit too over concerned about his looks… something she might use in the future…depending on circumstances. With her bag repacked she felt she needed to make progress towards the door and found that she slowly took a few steps, hoping to hear his punishment before reaching the door itself.

Watching the majority of students leaving, Alex noticed two who lingered. Deciding that he would not object to both Miss Philosophy and Miss O'Connell remaining to hear of the punishments, he returned his attention to the boys. His expression was one of extreme anger and he raised his voice, an act that was completely uncharacteristic of him.
"That is the most despicable performance in a classroom that I have ever seen," he said in a dangerous voice. He looked first to Gat, who had initiated the confrontation. "Mr Soldier, what on earth could possibly have caused you to use such a spell against a classmate?" He knew the spell to be dark magic and had a large punishment in store for the usage of it. "Mister Darko, while it was by no means acceptable for the initial spell to be cast, reacting in such a way does not help anyone. As for you, Mister Cooper, your anger seems to have been flared merely by a deflected spell heading your way. Explain yourselves, all of you!" he demanded angrily.

Alessandro flinched as the professor began to bark angrily at them. He was definitely NOT used to this sort of communication between himself and a teacher. Usually it was praise being showered upon him for his academic successes, not blunders. Archer had demanded the three of them to explain themselves. Not waiting for anyone to speak up first, Alessandro opened his mouth.
"He tried to KILL me! That rat bastard tried to KILL ME, DID YOU HEAR HIM!" he hollered, feeling his blood begin to boil. He jerked his head towards Gat. "I don't know why you felt the need to try and give me an unwanted haircut, but I'll have you know that hair like this isn't grown overnight!" He snarled at him, the darkness beginning to flicker in his eyes.
"Professor Archer, I would be extremely ungrateful if I were to receive any sort of punishment for I was merely defending my life. Who's to say that this blithering idiot isn't a dark wizard on the side of the Shadow Mage??" He cried out accusatively as he had completely thrown discretion to the wind.
"Tell me, Professor..." Alessandro began as he moved over toward the blackboard standing next to the gash that had been inflected at throat level from the sectumsempra curse. "Where does it appear that he was aiming?" he asked angrily, glaring at Gat. He wanted him expelled.

As Ariana began to put her stuff away she heard the teacher began his rant at Gat, Darko, and another student she didn't know. She flinched at his yelling as it reminded her of her father when he would yell and beat her mother. Ariana took deep breaths while she put all of her stuff away quickly as she could before throwing her bag over her shoulder. She didn't wright down what they had for home work or what she was also to do because she missed class. She would have to ask Gat latter what it was. Just as she was getting up she heard Darko begin to yell.
"He tried to KILL me! That rat bastard tried to KILL ME, DID YOU HEAR HIM!"
"I don't know why you felt the need to try and give me an unwanted haircut, but I'll have you know that hair like this isn't grown overnight!"
"Professor Archer, I would be extremely ungrateful if I were to receive any sort of punishment for I was merely defending my life. Who's to say that this blithering idiot isn't a dark wizard on the side of the Shadow Mage??"
Ariana looked from Gat to Darko as she listened to Darko yelling.
"Tell me, Professor..."
Ariana watched him move towards the blackboard to stand next to a gash that had been inflected at throat level.
"Where does it appear that he was aiming?"
Darko glared at Gat
((Professor forgot Ariana was still in the room as well))

Gat was completly calm. He slowly moved towards the Professor. He did not care what he said but he was just curious. He was willing to accept any punishment. Though next he would be sure to kill him in private. He noticed that Ariana was still in the room. He wished that she had not seen that. He had not a care for either Alessandro or Dylan. To him their lives were irrelevent. Same goes with the Professor. He stood up right next to the Professor. He listened to the feeble complaints of the Ravenclaw for a second. He felt like laughing. 'If I wanted to kill you, you'd be dead.' He thought supressing a chuckle. He knew that he would move out of the way. In fact, he was expecting it. If he hadn't, Gat would have been expelled.
"Professor I'm......" He said to distract him. He was pretending to apologise and then swiped his wand back and started to leave.

Seeing Gat swipe his wand back and prepare to leave without taking heed of the consequences of his actions, D'rorah stepped in front of the door. "You would do well to remain and hear out your punishment, Mister Soldier," she remarked, her tone of voice and facial expression as bland as if she had just noted that the sky was blue. She felt the very fact of her person barring his passage would be intimidation enough at the moment. She had quite recovered from her ordeal in the Shadow Realm and was more than capable of defending herself from his attack this time. She stood there in front of the door resolutely. She had no intention of allowing him to pass until Professor Archer indicated that Gat was free to go.
She knew she would have to deal with Dylan and Alessandro on her own later. They simply could not have members of the lightfighters getting themselves into trouble and detention, especially considering that she intended to begin group training soon.
She paid little attention to Ariana, remembering having seen her hanging around Gat previously. Simply put, that marked her as an enemy. Her main attention was focused on Gat, reflexes ready in the event he attempted to attack physically or magically. He had managed to get the best of her once in the Shadow Realm because the Mage had subdued her first... he would not be so lucky in any confrontation this time around.

Gat was about to head out the door when D'rorah got in his way. Gat smiled.
[glow=red,2,300]"You would do well to remain and hear out your punishment, Mister Soldier,"[/glow]
"I do not know what your problem is, but if its a fight you want, bring it on." It was true. he had erased from his own mind the very memories that were the cause. He was already in his battle stance. A string of dark magic spells were on the tip of his tongue. Then he stopped, remembering once again that Ariana was there. He stayed his hand.
"Very well." He said with not a care whatsoever. He then once again faced the Professor.
"So? What is it then? Speak quickly I do not have all day." Gat commanded of him. Gat waited for him to finally give out the judgment. He was growing bored fast.

Grimacing discontentedly at Professor Archer's harsh words, he had already formed a response in his mind. He knew the professor was right; to anyone who was not him, Keaira or D'rorah, they would certainly not know the full reasons behind his reaction. The spell he had shot at Gat would seem entirely uncalled for to everyone else, something that was simply a rash overreaction.
To Dylan, however, it was nowhere near a strong enough reaction. Nothing ever could be. For what Gat had done, he fully intended to make him pay. Noticing the expression Professor Archer currently maintained and then adapted as Gat mouthed off, soon after he'd tried to escape the room, he thought that this, at least, was worth being around to watch. Knowing that perhaps he should not have reacted the way he did, he found that he was not at all sorry. He was slightly frustrated, however, that both of the spells aimed at Gat hadn't appeared to have had the slightest impact.
Rolling his eyes at Gat's response to the professor, Dylan's own mouth opened, his tone more respectful. "Professor, I overreacted," he said lightly, not believing a word but feeling as though it was the only thing he could say that Archer would accept. "I saw my friend attacked with a dark spell, and then another spell rebounded, very nearly hitting me in the head. I do not appreciate dark magic being used either against my friend, or in my school," he concluded quietly, his head bowed.

Listening briefly to Alessandro's comments, he knew the boy was somewhat right. Gat had used dark magic, let alone on a fellow student, and the mark on the board did appear to be at throat level. "Irrespective, Mister Darko, you should have protected yourself instead of retaliating," he said angrily, sure that the boy must know many good defensive spells. No student had the right to simply cast off attacking spells, especially not in the middle of a classroom full of their peers. Despite what may be the best intentions of anyone, something could always go wrong. One minor deflection and an innocent bystander could be seriously injured.
Turning to Gat as he spoke, he shouted angrily as a wand was slipped from his hand. "Mister Soldier!" he demanded in a loud tone. Seeing that D'rorah had promptly blocked the exit of the Slytherin, he was rather glad that he'd allowed her to stay, despite the fact that he was sure he could have prevented the boy from leaving. Hearing the response Gat provided D'rorah with, not to mention the reply he himself received, his eyes narrowed considerably. "Mister Soldier, you would do well to remember that I am the professor in this classroom, and you will make no such demands," he began in a dangerous voice. "The kind of magic you performed today will not be tolerated under any circumstances. I will be taking fifty points from Slytherin for such a curse being used, and another twenty for the way you have acted since the incident." His voice did not indicate someone that wished to be messed around at this point in time.
He turned back to face the other two briefly, considering them for a moment as Dylan spoke. Nodding briefly, he knew the boy had also had decent intentions, though had gone about them in the wrong way. "You will each receive a twenty-five point reduction for reacting the way you did," he said grudgingly. "Along with a detention with Mister Colins this weekend, and every weekend for the next month." He turned back to Gat and briefly debated over what to do with him. He did not quite wish to involve the Headmistress; meaning that his wish of expelling or at least suspending the Slytherin was out of the question. Grimacing at this thought, he debated over what might be a severe enough punishment.
Finally, he clenched his jaw and began to speak once more. "Mister Soldier for your actions you will also receive a months worth of detentions, also with Mister Collins, but every weekday." He thought that perhaps it was best to keep the Ravenclaws in seperate detentions to Gat, considering what had just occurred. He did not wish to give the Slytherin any more of a chance or reason to attack Alessandro, or Dylan for that matter.
Casting one last, glaring look at each of them, he exhaled loudly. "You are all free to go," he muttered, turning away from each of them, disgusted.

(ooc: lol no points to Dylan for defending a friend in need?? lol)
Alessandro gawked at Gat as he appeared to have the audacity to display such a despicable form of insolence toward the professor as he snatched up his wand and prepared to exit the classroom. He silently thanked D'rorah for preventing his exit and scowled at him as he demanded the professor to make it quick.
What an imbecile... He thought scathingly.
He sent a sideways glance of approval at Dylan as he mentioned that he was his friend. Dylan didn't know how much Alessandro had appreciated that comment at the moment. He made a mental note of that and to definitely return the favor if Dylan ever needed it.
Taking in a breath as the Professor began his sentencing, he let it out slowly as they were all instructed to take detentions with Mister Collins, the gamekeeper, every weekend, save Gat, who had every week day, presumably to keep the Ravens separated from the Sneaky Snake. The point reduction killed them as they were now in the negative numbers, about negative 25, he thought. I'll need to study extra hard and answer lots of questions in class if I'm to rectify my misdeeds for the whole of Ravenclaw house... He thought dejectedly, and somewhat regretfully.
The professor dismissed them all and he went over to him and collected his wand from its captor. "I'm dreadfully sorry, Professor Archer...." He began to say in a very sincere tone of voice. "You're right, I shouldn't have retaliated...I know loads of spells that are designed for protection, something just took hold of me...." He said with a frown. He replaced his wand within his bag and trudged off toward the door, shooting Dylan a woeful smile that told him he was thankful for his assistance.

D'rorah watched the exchange, not particularly caring about the loss of house points. She was grateful that Alessandro and Dylan were safe. She waited, wanting to make certain that Gat left without any further incident and trying to decide whether or not to say anything to Dylan or Alessandro at the moment. Finally, deciding that it would be fruitless to say anything to either one now, she settled for silence. She remained in her spot, arms crossed and posture rigid.
She knew that, as far as the missing house points were concerned, Alessandro and Dylan would endure enough from their housemates that she would have little point to press home. It did annoy her a bit that she would miss out on valuable training time with both of them. She wondered mostly at Gat's openly insolent attitude. She wondered whether the Shadow Mage might have have some particular mind with his behavior or if he was merely reckless. She sincerely hoped it was the latter, because that would give her quite an advantage against the Mage.

Ariana listened to the conversation as it went along. She waited for them to be dismissed before walking over to Gat. "I'm not sure what happened to day in class Gat but what ever you did. I must say was reckless of you. Other then this mess, how has you day been?" asked Ariana calmly standing in front of Gat. She looked at the floor waiting for him to answer as she stepped next to him so that they could walk together to their next class which she wasn't sure which one it was. Ariana would have to try harder to be on time for all her class as she was tried of losing points for her house as she knew now that they where way into the - for points.

Gat smiled at her. Out of all the students of Hogwarts, she was the one that had the most influence over him.
"Pretty nice actually." Gat replied. He led the way out of the room. He was glad to be out of there. He had a good enough reason to defend himself, but he did not care much for punishment at the moment. He wondered at what they had next. In fact, he had no idea. He just kept walking. His mind wandered at the days events. He wondered if Alessandro did fire that spell at him. Either way, it did not matter.
