D'rorah watched as A.J. tested his new wand. She could see that he seemed quite pleased with it. She smiled a bit to herself; she had become rather adept at selecting the proper wands for people in just the short period of time she had been here.
"Actually, I am told that that particular wand was made by Mr. Ollivander himself. We have very few of his wands left anymore, you know. Would you care for me to package it for you or would you simply prefer to carry it out?"
She paused, placing the lid back on top of the empty box. "Oh yes, and there is no charge for the wand today. They are..." she paused over the vernacular term Mordred had used before, "on the house."

He smiled at her.
"Thank you, I will take it with the box." he replied, staring at the wonderfully crafted wand.
It seemed as though it had been made just for him, everything about it was perfect. Just thinking about it made him smile, he imagined himself with the wand, winning against an evil Dark wizard that seemed invincable. It played in his head like a movie. A.J. had to shake himself out of that one. "Thank you, again." A.J. repeated

D'rorah placed the wand in the box and quickly wrapped it. When she was finished, she handed the package to A.J.
"Here you are, Mister Cadioz. I do hope you will enjoy using your new wand. Of course, we are here to service it, should the need arise." She offered a polite smile. "Good day then."
With that, she returned her attention to inventory. Now that she had finally finished organizing everything in the store, it was time to make up an inventory of the stock so they could begin working to replace anything they were in need of. She didn't understand how the store had been open so long with no organizational system in place... boxes everywhere... it was nearly disgraceful.
She picked up a scroll of parchment and quill and began writing hurriedly, noting down all of the boxes that were stored under the counter... it was as good a place as any to begin.

Blair walked into Ollivanders. The sign in the door said opened, but when she entered the shop it was empty, no one.
Blair was nervous, this was the first time that her mother would allow her to go to Diagon Alley alone. She didn't know what to do, or if she had enough money to pay for her things. She was afraid that she might embarass herself in front of every one. Blair then took a deep breah and gathered her courage and went to the desk.
"Excuse me," Blair called with her sweet girlish voice. "I would like a 13 inch made of Mahogany and Maple with a mermaid scale core."

D'rorah rose from behind the counter. She looked at the girl before her a bit quizzically. Obviously, this was her first time in the shop. "Good afternoon. Please, fill out this card with your information and I will find a suitable wand for you." She shook her head slightly. "At the moment, the Ministry is not allowing the sale of wands with a core of Mermaid Scale. Mermaids are considered too close to human creatures to have scales used as magical artifacts."
She paused before continuing. "Perhaps there is mermaid hair. I would have to check the inventory, but scales are too painful to shed to be harvested for wand production."
She handed the girl a slip of paper.
Name: Preferred Wand Length: About: (What class do do you love the most or what you do for your job)
"If you will complete that, I will help you right away," she added before turning her attention back to her inventory notes.

Blair listened to D'rorah say that there couldn't be any mermaid core, she looked down in shame then looked back up at her. "A Phoenix tail feather would be fine then."
Blair took the card from D'rorah, and started to fill it out.
Name: Blair Tavian Preferred Wand Length: 13 in About: Transfiguration is my favorite class
When Blair was done filling out the card she handed it back to D'rorah. Then waited for the shop owner to return.

D'rorah took the card and looked over it. She arched an eyebrow... the information provided wasn't really much to go on, but then, how much should she expect from a first year student? She frowned slightly--Blaire had requested Mahogany and a Phoenix Tail feather, but neither of those were suitable for transfiguration.
"Excuse me for one moment," she said, as she headed into the back room. She returned a few moments later with a small box. "Now Miss Tavian, this wand is thirteen inches of acacia wood with a core of demiguise hair." She paused and looked up. "I realize that these are not the materials you requested; however, they are both very suitable for transfiguration and for those who are pure of heart."
She pried the lid from the box and set it on the counter in front of Blaire. "Please try it to see how it works for you," she remarked, watching Blaire for a reaction.

Blair watched the shop owner go to the back of the shop and pull out a box and brought it back to the front of the shope. Blair looked into the box and saw that it wasn't what she wanted, but heard the owner say that this was best for transfiguration. So she picked up the wand it felt comfortable in her hand, the handle was just perfect.
Blair then pointed the wand at one of her belongings and did a simple transfiguration that her sister had taught her. And it worked. Blair handed the wand back to the shop owner.
"I like this wand," Blair said with her sweet voice, "How much would it be?"

D'rorah watched as the girl tentatively took hold of the wand. She could see that, though it hadn't been what she had actually requested, that Blaire seemed pleased with the wand.
"Actually," she began in response to Blaire's question, "all of our wands are currently on special. As luck would have it, there is no cost for your wand today." D'rorah gathered the now-empty box from the counter-top and placed it into a small bag. "Here we are. If there is nothing else, I believe you are all set for the day."
She picked up her quill, set to resume her inventory of the wands they currently had. There was still a lot of work to do to get the shop all in order. "Good day Miss Tavian," she added, almost as an afterthought.
(ooc: Please keep in mind, we have a ten sentence minimum for posts. You'll want to flesh them out a bit more. For example, you could have easily reached the minimum if you had gone into a bit more detail about the transfiguration you did. If you need help, let me know.)

Zack walked in through the store entrance. He couldn't believe what those blokes at the airport did to his wand. But it didn't matter to him anyway, He heard many stories and wonderful things about this store. It's original owner was supposed to have been one of the best in wand making. He even heard great things from the guy he got his wand from in America. "Good day," He sad as he approached the counter. He grabbed a slip of paper from the pile and walked over to a table and began writing. When he was done, he walked over to the counter again and handed the lady at the counter his paper.
Name: Zack Merrick Preferred Wand Length: 12 3/4 About: I've really enjoyed Charms at my old school and found excitement in casting spells. Defense Against Dark Arts is another favorite because of the many spells required to fight dark magic. For a future job, I wish to do something that really uses the wand and it's power. Whether it's a magic fix-it guy to even a high end job as an Aurorer, it does not matter as long as I have a trusty wand by my side to help me cast the correct spells.
After handing her the paper he looked at her and asked, "Do you mind if I come back for it? I have to run over to Gring...uh..." He pulled out a piece of paper. "Gringotts, the bank. I'm afraid I didn't pull out anything to pay for my wand yet."

D'rorah looked at at the young man as she accepted his slip of paper. "Actually, there is no charge for wands today," she remarked absently. "Wait here for one moment Mister Merrick. I believe I have something suitable in the back."
She quickly slipped into the back room, carrying the paper with her. After several moments, she emerged from the storeroom. "Here we are. This wand is 12 3/4 in Rosewood with a core of Gytrash Fur. I believe you will find it quite acceptable for your purposes."
Gently, she pried the lid from the box and set it on the counter before him. "Please, do try it out. I like to be certain the wand is suited to you before you accept it. They can be a bit temperamental, as you may know." She looked at him a second time, detecting an American accent. "Where are you from Mister Merrick?" she asked as an afterthought.

3/4 in Rosewood with a core of Gytrash Fur. I believe you will find it quite acceptable for your purposes."
Zack picked the wand up from it's box hand held it firmly in his grasp. He felt the familiar attraction to the wand immediately. He smiled and looked at D'rorah. "Rosewood you say? That was what my old wand was made of. Brilliant." He he looked at the wand again and gave it a slight flick and made a small trail of glittering lights come from the tip. "Works wonderfully, thank you. And thanks for letting me just have it."
"Where are you from Mister Merrick?"
Zack looked back at D'rorah and placed the wand back into it's box. "I'm from America actually, California to be exact. My Dad got a job here in London, so we moved here. My old wand broke when it was in the plane, but in a way, I'm glad because I heard so many great things about this shop."

"Ah," replied D'rorah with a slight smile. "I am from New York." she paused and then continued. "I assume you are here to attend Hogwart's, so welcome. This is my first year here as well, as a matter of fact." She stepped from behind the counter, moving toward a stack of boxes at the front of the store, quill and parchment in hand. "I still fail to understand exactly how I came about this job in the first place. The arrangement was merely supposed to be temporary."
Her quill began scratching away and then paused for a moment before she turned back to him. "Was there anything else I can help you with?" she offered politely. She hoped he hadn't interpreted her moment of zoning out for rudeness.

"Oh, no, no. I was just about to go. I know you must be busy and all, it's just that, I can write to some of my friends now and say that I got a wand from the Ollivander store." Zack put on a grin and grabbed his box and headed for the door. "Well, it's off to get some of the books I don't have." He grabbed the piece of paper again and read the next name, Flourish and Botts. "Well, I think I'd better get going then. Thanks again for the wand!" Zach stepped out of the front door and turned in the direction of the book store.

Nearly bumping in to another boy, he entered Ollivander's. The street outside was full of a bustling crowd, and Dylan had practically had to fight his way here. The dark shop made a brilliant contrast to the bright sun outside, and he squinted, allowing his eyes a better opportunity to adjust. Walking forwards he pulled a sheet of paper out of his jean pocket. He'd chosen his favourite jeans today, a slightly baggy, dark blue pair, as well as a nice brown t-shirt that always looked rather good on him. It complimented his eyes well, most people said.
Reaching the counter he saw a fellow Ravenclaw standing there, only just recognising her due to his previously unadjusted eyes. "Hey.. you work here? I didn't know that." he said conversationally, handing her the paper.
Name: Dylan Cooper Preferred Wand Length: 10 and 3/4 inches. About: I prefer Charms to any other class, and want a wand suited to that purpose. Swishy, if possible.
