Jason laughed, keeping his eyes closed. He had indeed felt a strong pull at his back, yanking him cleanly away. While there was the moment of fear as his body was touching nothing but air, it was mingled with exhillaration. He loved the feeling of flying, even if it wasn't controlled. It was the reason he usually jumped to get out of a tree. In the short time he was airborne, both in those tree-jumping situations and now, he imagined himself on the quidditch pitch, scoring a goal against . . . well, any of the other houses really. Right then he pictured Ravenclaw. He was quite competitive, just usually in a very supressed fashion.
He opened his eyes at her concerned question and grinned up at her, elbowing the invisible cushion jokingly.
"Yeah, that was great! Is the professor ok? He feels squishy."

Seeing the smile on Jason’s face, Lei let out a sigh of relief. All she needed was to take someone out in one of her first classes, wouldn’t that be fun? Leilani couldn’t stop laughing as she sat back down next to him on the floor, “He seems fine, but it seems your fall has transfigured him into a cushion.” She smiled patting the cushion he was sitting on top of.
“Did I do alright?” Leilani asked curiously, “It wasn’t a girly throw onto the cushion was it?” In her home schooling she had never actually practiced the spells, it was all just studying the history and what it did to get someone out of a fix. She assumed her father was too afraid of what might happen to him if Leilani let out a spell gone wrong.

A strange feeling overcame Keaira as Alessandro wrapped his arms around her. A look that conveyed her emotions quickly passed across her face, but was soon replaced with a smirk, and rolled eyes as Alessandro decided to comment on eating her brains. She knew that there was something about him that effected her in a strange way, but she couldn’t bring herself to tell him.
As they both had completed the task of properly casting the Defindo spell, they progressed onward in the class, focusing on fire. As Keaira cast the spell, she giggled a little at how easy it was for her. She had cast the incendio spell on numerous occasions, including on time when Alessandro, and Wysteria had stumbled in on her practicing a patronus charm. She thought back on that day, remembering how he had reacted so negatively to the fire spell. AS she watched him approach the area for the spell she let a slight look of concern cross her features.
Alessandro had very timidly attempted the spell. Keaira watched as his excitement caused the fire to swell, feeding off of his elemental prowess in that area, then just as quickly as it came, he reacted violently to it backing off quickly, as if he was afraid it would bite him. As he stumbled a bit, she quickly made sure she was next to him, just for balance if he needed it. She gingerly reached out her hand and touched his arm, gathering his attention more directly.
“Hey, it’s alright, you’ll get better.” She whispered the words, for him, and only him, knowing that he might just need those words of support to help him try again. “During vacation I’m taking some classes with some of my fathers’ friends, I’m sure I’ll learn something useful you can use.” She let the promise of help linger as she stepped forward and conjured a small orb of fire, thinking about how she will miss her juggling while she was training. She was almost certain they would not allow her to have such distractions.

He felt a hand reach out and touch his arm, offering him some stability. He looked next to him and gave Keaira a pained look. He swallowed and took a breath before speaking. "Thank you...I-I...I lit some candles the other day...I just thought maybe...I thought I could handle it...." He said exhaling.
He smiled and appreciated Keaira for her offering and stepped back, watching her conjure an orb of fire. He eyed it longingly and with jealousy.
This is all my parents fault... He thought bitterly. If they had just let me develop my abilities instead of obliviate the memories from my mind, I could be a useful tool to the team, but I'm not... Anger began to swell inside of him as his fist tightened around his wand. Thats right... said a dark voice inside him. You're useless.
He let out an exasperated sigh and turned to face the front of the class and raised his hand."Professor...may I be excused? I'm not feeling well, I would like to go see Ms. Aku in the infirmary..." He asked hoping he would be granted his leave.

Jason's face screwed up in amused incredulity. He may not be all that beefy, but it wasn't as though the smallest puff of magic would send him flying across the room. He crossed his arms in a mockery of indignation.
"What are you saying? I'm a moderately sized, semi muscular guy. You threw me clean off my feet and want to know if it felt girly?"
He shook his head as if he deeply disapproved.
"Though yeah, it was kinda wimpy. If it had been a real spell it would've thrown me right through the wall."
He laughed and tried to stand. It was awkward pushing himself off an invisible cushion that wanted to just absorb any pressure he put on it. Finally managing it, though having long since abandoned any illusion that it was a graceful motion, he brushed off the front of his robes and held out his hand to help her up, figuring they should practice some more or move on to something else before the professor saw them just talking and decided to take action.

Laughing at D'rorah's comment, he smiled slyly. "I'll try my best, Miss Philosophy," he replied jokingly. Glad that the pair wouldn't have to spend the rest of the lesson practicing something they were obviously good at, he followed D'rorah to the corner and stepped inside the bubble located there. Taking a moment to accept how nice Professor Archer's charmwork was, he wondered if he had been an all-round student. First Astronomy, now Defence Against the Dark Arts. Who knew how many subjects he excelled at enough to teach.
Beginning to practice the required wand movements alongside his partner, he was momentarily distracted as she produced an orb of fire. Its beauty was quite captivating, but he soon recovered his concentration and resumed flicking his wand. Finally satisfied with the standard at which he was performing the movements, he practiced for real, his voice quiet. "Incendio," he muttered, choosing the other spell. A large jet of flame was emitted from his wand and his eyes widened slightly. He had not expected such a reaction.
Glad they were seperated from the rest of the class, he saw Alessandro and Keaira make their way over, obviously having finished practicing. Looking beyond them, he saw Susan still seated and partnerless. She appeared on the verge of tears. His eyes met D'rorah's and he grimaced slightly. "Dee... I might go and practice with Susan," he said quietly, hoping she would understand. "I promise not to handle her the way I did you," he added teasingly.

At his words, Leilani automatically blushed, “O… I didn’t mean… you see,” Leilani didn’t mean to offend him in any way. She took his offered hand gracefully and hopped up onto her feet. Leilani rolled her eyes, “I guess I can take that as a compliment,” she said with a little laugh. Staring around the room she wondered what there was to do next.
She wondered if they should move on to another task like the other two the professor had spoken to. But then again, she didn’t want to get the professor angrier than he had already been. Leilani brushed a loose hair from her ponytail and looked at Jason with a shrug, “So what do we do now?” Her small attention span was getting to her and she felt the need to take a seat, but continued standing unless instructed to do so.

D'rorah glanced over at Susan, unaware that she had remained partnerless throughout the class period. "Oh, of course. I will just remain here and continue practicing." Of course, that pang was there... the whole Elemental Master/Shadow Warrior bond struck a small spark of insecurity inside her. Pushing the idiotic thought aside, she smiled at his teasing comment. "If I find you breaking that promise, I shall be using the revulsion jinx on her behalf," she remarked quietly, a smirk on her face.
Returning to the matter at hand, she began once again practicing her fire spells. "Incendio... incendia orbis... incendio..." She practiced varying the strength of her spells, wanting to hone her control. At the same time, she was being very careful to avoid setting Alessandro or Keaira, who had just joined her, on fire. She watched Alessandro for a moment, wondering how he would take to the fire spells. She remembered his fear of fire quite clearly. She thought this might be good for him, actually... though of course, he would be much better at these spells than anyone else in the class.

Gat couldn't care less what the teacher said. He just sat there. But then he noticed a spell come whizzing past his ear. He stood up fast ready to defend himself if need be. He did not know why but he immediately thought it was Alessandro. As he was standing up at the front of the class. He immediately fired a warning spell back.
"Sectum sempra." He said with his wand pointed at Alessandro. It was aimed to cut the top inch of his hair off. He waited to see how he would respond to the challenge.

Alessandro was waiting for the Professor to respond when he felt a rush of air fly past him. He jerked his head to the left out of reflex and out of the corner of his eye noticed a lock of hair that used to be in front of his eye, fall to the ground.
His eyes widened with shock and fear, for he loved his long hair, and he whipped around to see who had cast the spell. His eyes befell upon a Slytherin sixth year, Gat Soldier.
"You!" He cried as he raised his left hand and held it behind his head with his wand aimed straight at him. "Aim's a little off, just like that dead fish in transfig!" He hollered before he retailiated.
"Everte Statum!" He incanted the jinx that sent a brilliant jet of light hurdling straight at Gat, with means to send him flying backwards.

He smiled as his spell hit its mark. [glow=red,2,300] "Aim's a little off, just like that dead fish in transfig!"[/glow]
Gat smiled dissapeared as he heard the comment. His anger built up suddenly. Then he saw the jet of light rushing up at him.
"PROTEGO!" He shouted and the spell immediately rebounded and nearly hit Dylan.
"Would you rather I killed you instead?" He retorted before using another sectum sempra spell flying back at him. This one aimed for his throat. He prepared for another strike to come his way. This was his first wizards duel since entering Hogwarts. Boy was he excited.

Smiling at D'rorah, he departed the bubble in the corner and moved towards Susan. "Hey, you want a partner?" he asked quietly, a small smile on his face. Waiting for an answer, he heard an argument start in the classroom. Looking up to see the students were Alessandro and Gat, his eyes widened then, and he ducked with reflexes he could thank Quidditch for. A jet of brilliant light had soared over a path that his head had previously been found in and he rose to full height again, his eyes narrowed.
Grinning that he'd finally gotten a chance to do some damage to Gat, he rejoyced in the fact that he would most certainly not transform into a dragon in the middle of a class, let alone a room full of students and a professor. Keaira's words echoed in the vaults of his mind, and his will faltered. It returned, stronger than ever, however, as the image of D'rorah bleeding came to him. The sight occupying all of his thoughts now, anger flared on his features and he flicked his wand.
"Furnunculus!" he cried angrily, his wand pointed at the sixth year Slytherin. He wasn't interested in childish banter; he just wanted to hurt Gat as much as possible.

[glow=green,2,300]"Would you rather I killed you instead?" [/glow] His angry comment had infected Gat with anger as well. Was this boy crazy? He attempted to sectumsempra his hair off, his BEAUTIFUL hair! Next he threatens his life? Alessandro began to boil inside as he thought that someone who transfigured a gravy boat into a dead fish had the arrogance to threaten his life.
He was more prepared for this next curse Gat had sent flying at him as he dodged the curse, causing a large slash to appear at throat level on the blackboard, which was behind Alessandro.
"Are you mad!?" Alessandro hollered thrusting his wand forward. Before he could cast any spell he heard Dylans voice, full of anger, cut him off. "Furnunculus!" Dylan had sent the boils jinx headed right for Gat's chest.
He couldn't stop himself, he had to see that Gat was put in his place. "Densaugeo!" Alessandro thrust his wand at Gat right after Dylan's spell. Either he would sprout boils everywhere or, his front teeth would grow abnormally large, which ever curse actually hit.

"Good, that's how I meant it."
It really was a plenty powerful spell. He doubted any but a giant could have resisted the pull away when she cast the jinx. A bright light flashed in the corner of his eye and Jason turned, shocked to see two . . . no wait three of the older students dueling with apparently quite serious intentions. He reacted immediately, though perhaps not in the bravest way possible.
"Down!"
He grabbed Lei around the shoulders and fell sideways back onto the cushioning charm, pulling her with him. While Jason had always thought the high quality of his cushioning charms was less than a magnificent achievement, this one seemed to be coming is quite handy. Motioning for Lei to stay down on the cushion, he rolled off in and got back to his feet, crouching down and peering over the desks. This is insane! Do something Archer! He started running towards the other girl who was still seated at her desk, trying to keep low and move quickly at the same time. The chaos of it was too much and he stumbled in his awkward crouching run. Ending up on the floor next to Susan's seat, he gazed up at her and coughed, clearly dazed but managing to mumble out his message.
"Get . . . down . . cough."

((I know she late and I have no idea whats going on but hey I'm still having her show up for class))
Ariana was really late for DADA class. She was running down the hall when she ran past the door. Falling over on to the ground before getting up she opened the DADA door. She walked in to people throwing spells at one other. "What the?" she asked as she walked in and closed the door. okay yeah she was late and she just walked into people throwing spells but what else could she say. Ariana stood by the door watching and waiting for them to notes her standing there.
